Description
(1.発明の分野)

歯科矯正学処置を仕上げるための歯保定器が、Am.J.Orthod.Oral.Surg.31:297〜304(1945)および32:285〜293(1946)に
おいてKeslingによって記載されている。患者の歯の総合的な歯科矯正学的再整列のためのシリコーン歯保定器の使用が、Warunekら(1989)J.Clin.Orthod.23:694〜700中に記載されている。歯保定器を仕上げるため、および維持するための透明プラスチックの歯保定器が、Raintree Essix、Inc.New Orleans、Louisiana 70125、およびTru−Tain Plastics、Rochester、Minnesota 55902から市販されている。歯科矯正学的歯保定器の製造は、米国特許第5,186,623号;同第5,059,118号;同第5,055,039号;同第5,035,613号;同第4,856,991号;同第4,798,534号;および同第4,755,139号に記載されている。
1つの局面では、コンピューターで実施される方法は、歯肉に沿って切断表面を規定する工程;および該歯から単一の切断で該歯肉を分離するために該切断表面を歯に付与する工程によって歯のモデルから歯肉を分離する。
図1Aを参照して、代表的な顎100は、16本の歯を含み、少なくともそのいくつかは、初期の歯の配列から最終の歯の配列までに移動されるべきである。歯がどのように移動され得るのかを理解するために任意の中央線(CL)が、歯102の1つを通じて引かれている。この中央線(CL)を参照して、歯は、軸104、106、および108(ここで104は中央線である)によって表される直交する方向で移動され得る。この中央線は、矢印110および112でそれぞれ示される、軸108(根の角形成)および104(トルク)の回りで回転され得る。さらに、歯は、矢印114によって表されるように、中央線の回りで回転され得る。従って、歯のすべての可能な自由形態移動が実施され得る。
Claims (11)
- 歯のコンピューターモデルから歯肉を分離するためのシステムであって:
該歯肉に沿って切断表面を規定するための手段;および
該歯のコンピューターモデルから単一の切断で該歯肉を分離するために該切断表面を該歯のコンピューターモデルに付与するための手段を備え、
該切断表面が複数の表面を含み、該歯のコンピューターモデルの根が、歯肉線の下の放物線表面としてモデル化される、システム。
システム。 - 前記切断表面が湾曲しており、関数として表現され、スプライン関数および二次関数として表現され、そして、スプライン関数および放物線関数として表現される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記切断表面が調節され得、該切断表面の調節が、該切断表面を規定する関数を改変する、請求項1または2に記載のシステム。

- 前記歯のコンピューターモデルの冠を取り囲むための包囲表面を規定するための手段をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 請求項1に記載のシステムであって:
複数のノードで特定される前記表面を表示するための手段;
該表面を改変するために1つ以上のノードを調節するための手段;および
前記歯のコンピューターモデルから前記歯肉を分離するために該表面を付与するための手段
をさらに備える、システム。 - 前記1つ以上のノードを調節するための手段が、必要に応じて1以上のノードを移動するための手段を備え、そして/または、前記切断表面が円柱座標系中の関数を用いて形成される、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- コンピューターであって:
プロセッサ;
該プロセッサに接続されたデータ記憶デバイスであって、該データ記憶デバイスは、歯のコンピューターモデルから歯肉を分離することにおける使用のためのコードを含み、該コードが、以下:
