Description

Claims (15)
- 0.5〜4%の、実質的に非導電性の第1の液体炭化水素と、96〜99.5%の、前記第1の液体炭化水素よりも室温でより急速に蒸発する実質的に非導電性の第2の液体炭化水素とを含む液体混合物であって、
液体トナー粒子のための帯電管理剤を更に含み、トナー粒子を含まない、
室温で液体である液体トナーのための液体混合物。 - 前記第2の液体炭化水素は、室温で10時間未満の95%蒸発時間を有する、請求項1に記載の混合物。
- 前記第2の液体炭化水素は、室温で6時間未満の95%蒸発時間を有する、請求項1または2に記載の混合物。
- 前記第1の液体炭化水素は、室温で10時間を越える95%蒸発時間を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の混合物。
- 前記第2の液体炭化水素は、ASTM標準D2879により測定したとき、37.8℃において344.7Paを超える蒸気圧を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の混合物。
- 前記第1の液体炭化水素は、前記液体炭化水素の混合物の全重量の1〜2重量%含まれる請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の混合物。
- ポリマー物質中に入っている顔料を含むトナー粒子と、
基本的に液体炭化水素の混合物であって、前記液体炭化水素の全量の0.2〜2%含まれる第1の成分と、前記第1の成分より急速に蒸発する、前記液体炭化水素の全量の98〜99.8%含まれる第2の成分との混合物からなるキャリア液体と、
を含み、
前記トナー粒子のポリマーは室温で前記キャリア液体に実質的に不溶であり、高温でキャリア液体を溶媒和する
液体トナー混合物。 - 前記第2の成分は、室温で10時間未満の95%蒸発時間を有する、請求項7に記載の混合物。
- 前記第2の成分は、室温で6時間未満の95%蒸発時間を有する、請求項7または8に記載の混合物。
- 前記第1の成分は、室温で10時間を越える95%蒸発時間を有する、請求項7〜9のいずれかに記載の混合物。
- 前記第2の成分は、ASTM標準D2879により測定したとき、37.8℃において344.7Paを超える蒸気圧を有する、請求項7〜10のいずれかに記載の混合物。
- 前記第1の成分は、前記液体炭化水素の全量の0.5%〜1%含まれ、前記第2の成分は、前記液体炭化水素の全量の99〜99.5%含まれる、請求項7〜11のいずれかに記載の混合物。
- 請求項7〜12のいずれかの混合物を収容する貯槽、
その上に潜像を有する像形成面、
前記混合物を用いて前記潜像を現像してトナー像を形成する現像器、及び
前記像形成面から前記トナー像を受け、その後、そこから転写される、剥離外周層を有する中間転写部材
を具備する像形成装置。 - 前記剥離外周層は前記混合物中の少なくとも液体炭化水素を溶媒和する、請求項13に記載の像形成装置。
- 前記中間転写部材は加熱される、請求項14に記載の像形成装置。
