Description
図5は、ソースドライバ内の電源回路とゲートドライバ内のコモン電位出力回路の構成を示す図である。ソースドライバ内の電源回路は、電源電位VDDを安定化して電源電位VCOMHを生成する安定化回路1と、電源電位VDD及びVSSに基づいて昇圧動作を行うことにより電源電位VCOMWを生成する昇圧回路2と、電源電位VCOMH及びVSSに基づいて昇圧動作を行うことにより電源電位VCOMLを生成する昇圧回路3とを含んでいる。例えば、電源電位VDD及びVSSの値は、それぞれ3V及び0Vであり、電源電位VCOMW、VCOMH、VCOMLの値は、それぞれ5V、2.5V、−2.5Vである。
図1に、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示パネル駆動回路とLCDパネルとの接続関係を示す。LCDパネル100においては、例えば720×132個のドットに対応して同数のTFTが2次元マトリックス状に配置されている。LCDパネル100を駆動するために、これらのTFTのソースを駆動する表示パネル駆動回路(ソースドライバ)200がソースラインS1〜S720に接続され、これらのTFTのゲートを駆動する表示パネル駆動回路(ゲートドライバ)300がゲートラインG1〜G132に接続されている。
Claims (9)
- マトリクス状に配列された複数の画素を含む表示装置の駆動を制御する制御回路であって、
垂直同期信号をカウントして、カウント値を出力するカウンタと、
前記カウント値と、水平同期信号と、に基づいて、記憶手段に記憶された画像データのアドレス信号と、1列の画素を駆動するための制御信号と、を発生するアドレス発生部と、
を含み、
第1のフレーム期間には前記複数の画素のうち第1の列に配置された画素から表示を開始させ、
第2のフレーム期間には前記第1の列とは異なる第2の列に配置された画素から表示を開始させる表示装置の制御回路。 - 前記制御信号は、前記1列の画素を駆動するドライバを制御する、請求項1記載の表示装置の制御回路。
- 請求項1又は2記載の表示装置の制御回路を含む表示装置の駆動回路。
- 前記記憶手段と、
前記画像データを画像信号に変換し、前記画像信号を前記表示装置に供給する画像信号供給手段と、
を含む請求項3記載の表示装置の駆動回路。 - 請求項1又は2記載の表示装置の制御回路、又は、請求項3又は4記載の表示装置の駆動回路を含む表示装置。
- 前記表示装置が、第1の電極と、前記第1の電極に対向する第2の電極と、を含む液晶表示パネルである、請求項5記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1の電極と前記第2の電極との間に供給される電圧を、1フレーム又は1フィールド毎に反転する請求項6記載の表示装置。
- 垂直同期信号をカウントしたカウント値と、水平同期信号と、に基づいて、記憶手段に記憶された画像データのアドレス信号と、1列の画素を駆動するための制御信号と、を発生するステップ(a)と、
前記アドレス信号に基づいて前記記憶手段から前記画像データを読み出すステップ(b)と、
前記画像データを画像信号に変換するステップ(c)と、
前記画像信号を表示装置に供給するステップ(d)と、
第1のフレーム期間に第1の列に配置された画素から表示を開始させるステップ(e)と、
第2のフレーム期間に前記第1の列とは異なる第2の列に配置された画素から表示を開始させるステップ(f)と、
を含む表示装置の駆動方法。 - ステップ(e)において、前記第1の列に配置された画素における第1の電極に前記画像信号を供給し、前記第1の電極に対向する第2の電極に第1の電位を供給し、
ステップ(f)において、前記第2の列に配置された画素における第3の電極に前記画像信号を供給し、前記第3の電極に対向する第4の電極に第2の電位を供給する、請求項8記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
