Description
図1は、複数のノード10(例えば、通信ステーションあるいは通信ターミナル(T))を相互接続する通信ネットワーク100の模範的な実施形態を示していろ。ネットワーク100はさらに中継器としての機能を有するノードを含んでいる。図1に示されたように、通信ネットワーク100はマスター中継器11として代表される中央ハブと18を介して付加的なアクセス点中継器(AR/P)12とを含み、中継器12は代替マスターとして設計されている。ノード10はラジオ端末リンク(TL)9により中継器と通信する。中継器はラジオバックボーンリンク(BL)19により互いに通信する。
以下に、例示的なバックボーンネットワーク100の中継器を同期させかつ操作する例示的な方法について説明する。
本実施形態によるマスター中継器11の初期化には、全周波数ホップシーケンス(full frequency hop sequence)おいて、同期情報を格納するために予約されたチャンネル(即ち本実施形態におけるチャンネル16)を最初にスキャンすることを含む。所定の同期用チャンネルの同期情報をスキャンする(即ち、直交ホッピングシーケンスを使用することにより不可避的に発生するであろう重なった周波数をスキャンする)ことにより、通信システムにおける他のノードおよび中継器(代替マスター中継器を含む)は、マスター中継器あるいは適切なときは代替マスター中継器に対して同期するために必要な情報を決定すべくチャンネル16をスキャンすることができる。
以下に、マスター中継器11または代替マスター中継器12の何れかがサービスから解除され、再びサービスに係属する際の回復操作について説明する。以下の説明において、マスター中継器11はチャンネルXを、代替マスター中継器12はチャンネルYを使用しているものとする。
通信システムの様々なリピータ内の通信は、各リピータに一般チャネルを割り付け、かつ各リピータを同期させて各リピータのホップピリオドを並べることで、達成される。リピータではない残りのノードは、与えられたリピータと同様のやり方で同期させることができる。

Claims (2)
- 第1のノードと第2のノードとの間の同期を確立する方法であって、
前記第1のノードによる使用のために、複数の通信チャネルの内の第1の周波数ホップシーケンスを有する第1の通信チャネルを選択するステップと、
各々が周波数ホップシーケンスを有し、少なくとも1つの周波数が前記第1の周波数ホップシーケンスにおける周波数と重複する前記複数の通信チャネルの内の任意の通信チャネルを前記第2のノードに割り当てるステップと、
前記第1および第2のノード間の通信を同期させるために前記周波数が重複する間に同期情報を検出するステップとを具備することを特徴とする方法。 - 第1のノードと第2のノードを有する通信ネットワークであって、
前記第2のノードが、
第1の周波数ホップシーケンスを使用して第1のノードに通信を送る送信手段と、
前記第2のノードに、複数の通信チャネルの内の任意の通信チャネルを割り当てることにより、前記第1のノードと第2のノードとの間の通信を同期させる同期手段とを具備し、
前記複数の通信チャネルの各々が、少なくとも1つの周波数が、前記第1の周波数ホップシーケンス内の周波数と重複する周波数ホップシーケンスを有し、
前記同期手段が、さらに、前記第1および第2のノード間の通信を同期させるために、前記周波数が重複する間に同期情報を検出することを特徴とする通信ネットワーク。
