Description
Claims (8)
- 燃料蒸気圧管理装置であって、
燃料蒸気収集キャニスタに結合可能な第1のポートと、通気用の第2のポートとを有するチェンバを画定するハウジングと、
第1のポートと、第2のポートとの間の流体の流れを両ポート間の差圧だけにより制御する圧力作動装置とより成り、
圧力作動装置は、
ばねにより付勢され軸線に沿って移動可能であり、チェンバを第1のポートと流体連通関係にある第1の部分及び第2のポートと流体連通関係にある第2の部分の2つの部分に分離するポペットと、
ポペットに係合するように構成されたシールとより成り、
第1のポートが第2のポートに対して第1の所定圧力レベルより小さい負圧であれば、ポペットがシールと接触して該シールを対称的に変形させることにより第1のポートと第2のポートとの間の流体の連通を阻止し、
第2のポートに対する第1のポートの負圧が第1の所定圧力レベルより大きくなると、ポペットがシールを非対称的に変形させ該シールとの間の接触関係を一部破壊することにより第2のポートから第1のポートへの流体の流れを許容し、
第1のポートが第2のポートに対して第2の所定圧力レベルより大きい正圧であれば、ポペットがばねの付勢力に抗してシールとの間の接触関係から離脱することにより第1のポートから第2のポートへの流体の流れを許容することを特徴とする燃料蒸気圧管理装置。 - シールは環状シールであり、ポペットが環状シールと環状接触関係になると第1のポートと第2のポートとの間の流体の連通が阻止される請求項1の燃料蒸気圧管理装置。
- 圧力作動装置は、第2のポートに対する第1のポートの負圧が第1の所定圧力レベルをなると通報するスイッチを備えた請求項1の燃料蒸気圧管理装置。
- 第1の所定圧力レベルは248.8パスカルの負圧である請求項1、2または3の燃料蒸気圧管理装置。
- 内燃機関に燃料を供給する燃料系統であって、
上部空間を有する燃料タンクと、
上部空間と流体連通関係にある内燃機関の吸気マニホルドと、
上部空間と流体連通関係にある燃料蒸気収集キャニスタと、
第1の側が吸気マニホルドと流体連通関係にあり、第2の側が燃料蒸気収集キャニスタ及び上部空間と流体連通関係にあるパージ弁と、
請求項1、2、3または4の燃料蒸気圧管理装置とより成る燃料系統。 - 請求項1、2、3または4の燃料蒸気圧管理装置を用いて請求項5の燃料系統の真空状態を検知する方法。
- 検知ステップは、大気圧に対する燃料蒸気収集キャニスタ内の負圧が第1の所定圧力レベルになるのを感知するステップより成る請求項5の方法。
- 第1の所定圧力レベルは248.8パスカルである請求項5、6または7の方法。
