Description
Claims (22)
- 不活性導電性基体と一組の触媒を含み、前記一組の触媒は硫化ロジウムと白金族の少なくとも1種の金属を含む、塩酸電解膜セル用の酸素減極化正極。
- 前記基体と前記一組の触媒との間に置かれた少なくとも1つの疎水性層を含む、請求項1記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムと前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は活性炭上に担持されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムと前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は活性炭上に担持されることを特徴とする、請求項2記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムと前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は触媒層中で混合されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムと前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は別個の触媒層中に含有され、そして白金を含有する触媒層は硫化ロジウムを含有する触媒層と前記基体との間に置かれることを特徴とする、請求項1または3記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムと前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は別個の触媒層中に含有され、これらの触媒層はそれぞれ前記基体の対向面に付与されることを特徴とする、請求項1または3記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムと前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属はそれぞれ別個の触媒層中に含有され、そして白金を含有する触媒層は硫化ロジウムを含有する触媒層と前記疎水性層との間に置かれることを特徴とする、請求項2または4記載の正極。
- 前記基体と前記硫化ロジウム含有触媒層との間に置かれた少なくとも1つの疎水性層を含む、請求項7記載の正極。
- 前記触媒層の少なくとも1つは不活性高分子結合剤を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜9いずれかに記載の正極。
- 前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は白金、イリジウム、およびパラジウムを含む群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜10いずれかに記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムの粒子は10〜100ナノメートルの平均粒度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜11いずれかに記載の正極。
- 前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属の粒子は200〜500ナノメートルの範囲の平均粒度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜12いずれかに記載の正極。
- 前記硫化ロジウムの担持量は金属として0.5〜1mg/cm2の範囲内にあることを特徴とする、請求項1〜13いずれかに記載の正極。
- 前記白金族の少なくとも1種の金属は前記硫化ロジウムの担持量の1〜20重量%の範囲の量で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1〜14いずれかに記載の正極。
- 少なくとも1つの正極区画室および少なくとも1つの負極区画室において少なくとも1つのイオン交換膜によって分割された塩酸電解セルであって、前記少なくとも1つの負極区画室は、塩酸水溶液を供給して残留の酸と生成物の塩素を回収するための連結部を有し、前記少なくとも1つの正極区画室は、酸素または酸素含有ガスを供給して残留の酸と反応物の水を回収するための連結部を含む塩酸電解セルにおいて、前記少なくとも1つの正極区画室は請求項1〜15いずれかに記載の正極の少なくとも1つを含む、塩酸電解セル。
- 請求項16記載のセルの前記負極区画室に塩酸水溶液を供給し、そして正極区画室に酸素または酸素含有ガスを供給し、電流を印加し、そして前記負極区画室から残留の酸と塩素を回収し、そして前記正極区画室から残留の酸素と水を回収することを特徴とする、塩酸水溶液の電気分解方法。
- 前記電流の密度は3〜6kA/m2の範囲内にあることを特徴とする、請求項17記載の方法。
- 前記塩酸は不純物を含有する工業銘柄の塩酸であることを特徴とする、請求項17および18記載の方法。
- 前記塩酸は15%以下の濃度を有することを特徴とする、請求項17〜19いずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記動作温度は60℃以下であることを特徴とする、請求項17〜20いずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記正極区画室から抽出される残留の酸素は実質的に水素を含まないことを特徴とする、請求項17〜21いずれかに記載の方法。
