Description
まず、図1を用いて、多重伝送システムのネットワーク構成について説明する。図1は、多重伝送システムのネットワーク構成の一例を示す図である。図1において、201はIEEE 802.11x規定の無線LAN機能を有するアクセスポイントであり、複数の無線端末間の無線通信を中継するものである。アクセスポイント201は3×3のスイッチのように動作し、入力された周波数f1、f2、f3の信号を任意の周波数に変換して出力する。また、ネットワーク全体のトラフィックや帯域を管理し、アクセスポイント201の指示により無線端末は送信権を得て通信を行う。
次に、図2、図3を用いて、上述した無線端末202〜210の送信部、受信の構成について順に説明する。ここで、無線端末は送信部と受信部の両方を持ち、送信部はカメラ、電話、PC等と接続され、各機器から映像、音声、データ等の情報が入力されるものとする。
・HD映像のように広帯域でリアルタイム性を必要とする映像情報(映像1)
・インターネット電話やビデオ/オーディオ配信など、比較的帯域は狭くリアルタイム性が要求されるストリームデータ(映像2と音声)
・データ通信等伝送エラーを許容せず、エラー時には情報を再送して全ての情報を確実に伝達する必要のあるデータ(データ)。
次に、図4を用いて、図1に示したアクセスポイント201の構成について説明する。図4は、本実施形態におけるアクセスポイントの構成の一例を示す図である。図4に示すように、アンテナ501〜503は、それぞれ周波数f1、f2、f3の無線信号を授受する。
次に、図1を用いて、多重伝送システムにおいて、アクセスポイント201と無線端末202〜210との間で伝送チャネル毎に伝送品質を保障し、コンテンツの種類に応じて伝送チャネルを割り当てる処理について説明する。
・無線端末203に接続されているHDカメラ213及びSDカメラ215から無線端末202に接続されているテレビ211へカメラ画像を配信
・無線端末203に接続されている電話214と、無線端末202に接続されている電話212との間の通話
・無線端末203に接続されているPC216から無線端末204に接続されているPC217へデータを転送。

Claims (11)
- 中継装置と、前記中継装置を介してデータ通信する通信端末とを有する伝送システムであって、
前記中継装置は、
前記通信端末から複数の伝送チャネルを介して送信された信号の伝送誤りを検出し、各伝送チャネルにおける伝送誤りの検出結果に関する情報を前記通信端末に送信する送信手段を有し、
前記通信端末は、
複数の外部機器を接続する接続手段と、
前記送信手段により送信された前記情報に基づいて、各伝送チャネルの伝送品質を認識する認識手段と、
前記接続手段に接続する複数の外部機器の夫々から入力された各コンテンツの種類を識別する識別手段と、
前記識別手段により識別した各コンテンツの種類に基づいて、各コンテンツの伝送に要求される伝送品質を判断する判断手段と、
前記認識手段により認識した各伝送チャネルの伝送品質と、前記判断手段により判断した各コンテンツの伝送に要求される伝送品質とに基づいて、前記複数の外部機器の夫々から入力された各コンテンツの伝送に割り当てる伝送チャネルを夫々決定し、前記中継装置に該決定した伝送チャネルの割り当てを要求する要求手段と、
を有することを特徴とする伝送システム。 - 前記複数の伝送チャネルは、周波数により分けられたチャネルであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記複数の伝送チャネルは、光波長により分けられたチャネルであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記中継装置は、過去の通信のログから前記通信端末からの信号の伝送誤りを検出することを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記中継装置は、前記通信端末から前記複数の伝送チャネルを介して伝送された伝送品質測定用パケットの伝送誤りを検出することを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記中継装置は、前記通信端末からの前記伝送チャネルの割当要求と通信帯域の申請を受け取り、要求された伝送チャネルに空き伝送帯域がある場合に、当該伝送チャネルの割当を行うことを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記判断手段は、コンテンツの種類を少なくともリアルタイム性を必要とし伝送帯域が広いコンテンツ、リアルタイム性を必要とし伝送帯域が狭いコンテンツ、リアルタイム性を必要としないコンテンツ、に分類し、該分類に応じて伝送品質を判断することを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記通信端末は、前記識別手段により識別した各コンテンツの種類に基づいて、コンテンツ毎に通信プロトコルを選択する選択手段を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記要求手段は、各コンテンツの伝送に割り当てる伝送レートも要求することを特徴とする請求項1記載の伝送システム。
- 前記伝送レートは、ピークレートもしくは平均レートを含むことを特徴とする請求項9記載の伝送システム。
- 中継装置と、前記中継装置を介してデータ通信する通信端末とを有する伝送システムにおける伝送チャネル割当方法であって、
前記中継装置は、
前記通信端末から複数の伝送チャネルを介して伝送された信号の伝送誤りを検出し、各伝送チャネルにおける伝送誤りの検出結果に関する情報を前記通信端末に送信する送信工程を実行し、
前記通信端末は、
前記送信工程において送信された前記情報に基づいて、各伝送チャネルの伝送品質を認識する認識工程と、
前記通信端末に接続する複数の外部機器の夫々から入力された各コンテンツの種類を識別する識別工程と、
前記識別工程において識別した各コンテンツの種類に基づいて、各コンテンツの伝送に要求される伝送品質を判断する判断工程と、
前記認識工程において認識した各伝送チャネルの伝送品質と、前記判断工程において判断した各コンテンツの伝送に要求される伝送品質とに基づいて、前記複数の外部機器の夫々から入力された各コンテンツの伝送に割り当てる伝送チャネルを夫々決定し、前記中継装置に該決定した伝送チャネルの割り当てを要求する要求工程と、
を実行することを特徴とする伝送チャネル割当方法。
