このような目的を果たすために、本発明は、箱体(4)の開口面に沿って延設されたガイドレール(6)に摺合すると共に、箱体の一端部に設けられた収容部(8)に収容される可撓性スライド蓋(5)を有する小物入れであって、一端が箱体に回動自在に軸支されるともに、他端がスライド蓋の収容部側の端部に係合され、軸支部を中心とする歯車(17)を備え、回動運動によりスライド蓋を開閉方向に移動させるアーム(16)と、箱体に軸支されるとともに、アームの歯車と噛合する歯車を備えた中間歯車(19)と、中間歯車の中心軸に設けられて中間歯車を回動付勢する捩じりばね(18)とを有し、収容部は、スライド蓋を湾曲させて収容するべく、アームの回動中心を中心した円弧形状に形成され、中間歯車は、収容部の円弧形状の内方に配置されていることを特徴とする。

図1は、本発明に基づく小物入れが適用された自動車のセンターコンソールボックス1を示している。このセンターコンソールボックス1は、乗用車の運転席2と前部客席3との間に設けられており、その上面を開放させた箱体4が、センターコンソールボックス1の内側に埋め込まれている。そして箱体4の開口は、開閉自在なスライド蓋5で通常は塞がれるようになっている。
