Description
(1)リニアガイド装置のエンドキャップ、リターンガイド及び仮軸、転がり軸受の内輪、外輪、転動体、保持器及びシール部材の何れかとして使用される生分解性樹脂組成物成形体であって、
一般式(I)で表される基本骨格を有し、かつ、鹸化度の差が5モル%以上である2種のポリビニルアルコール系化合物を、重量比で5:95〜95:5となるように混合した生分解性樹脂を樹脂成分とすることを特徴とする生分解性樹脂組成物成形体。
(2)内輪と外輪との間に保持器を介して複数の転動体を転動自在に保持してなり、シール部材を備える転がり軸受であって、少なくとも内輪、外輪、転動体、保持器及びシール部材の一つが上記(1)記載の生分解性樹脂成形体であることを特徴とする転がり軸受。
(3)少なくともエンドキャップ、リターンガイド及び仮軸の一つが、上記(1)記載の生分解性樹脂成形体であることを特徴とするリニアガイド装置。
本発明に係る生分解性樹脂組成物製機械部品は、鹸化度の異なる2種以上のポリビニルアルコール系化合物を樹脂成分とする生分解性樹脂組成物を所定の形状に形成したものである。ここで、樹脂成分は、鹸化度の最も高いポリビニルアルコール系化合物Aと、鹸化度の最も低いポリビニルアルコール系化合物Bとの鹸化度の差が5モル%以上で、かつポリビニルアルコール系化合物Aとポリビニルアルコール系化合物Bとが重量比で5:95〜95:5となるように混合されている。鹸化度の差及び重量比が上記を満足しないと、機械部品は耐衝撃性に劣ったものとなる。
(転がり軸受)
本発明において、転がり軸受の種類や構成には制限がないが、例えば図1に断面図にて示すシール付き玉軸受を例示することができる。図示されるように、内輪2と外輪4との間に複数の転動体である玉5が保持器7を介して転動自在に保持されており、グリース(図示せず)を充填してシール6で封止して構成されている。また、保持器7は図2に斜視図にて示すように、所謂冠型保持器とすることができ、ポケット8に玉5を収容して保持する。
(実施例1〜28、比較例1〜15)
ポリビニルアルコール系化合物として、一般式(I)で表され、鹸化度が約98モル%、約92モル%、約87モル%、約73モル%の4種類のポリビニルアルコール(PVA)、並びに鹸化度が約93モル%のオキシアルキレン基含有ポリビニルアルコール(改質PVA)を用意した。そして、表1に示す比率にて配合し、更にガラス繊維(直径:約9〜14μm、長さ:約0.2〜0.7mm)を20質量%となるように配合し、溶融混練して生分解性樹脂組成物を調製した。

・荷 重:ラジアル荷重 98N、アキシアル荷重245N
・雰囲気温度:100℃
結果を表1に併記するとともに、図3〜6にグラフ化して示すが、鹸化度が5モル%以上異なる2種のポリビニルエーテルを5:95〜95:5の比率で配合した生分解性樹脂組成物製の保持器を組み込んだ各実施例の試験軸受は、何れも耐久時間が3000時間以上であり、比較例15のポリアミド66製の保持器を組み込んだ試験軸受と同等の優れた耐久性を有することがわかる。また、ポリ乳酸製の保持器を組み込んだ試験軸受は,試験開始から約0.1時間で保持器が破損し、実用に耐え得るものでないことがわかる。

Claims (3)
- 内輪と外輪との間に保持器を介して複数の転動体を転動自在に保持してなり、シール部材を備える転がり軸受であって、少なくとも内輪、外輪、転動体、保持器及びシール部材の一つが請求項1記載の生分解性樹脂成形体であることを特徴とする転がり軸受。
- 少なくともエンドキャップ、リターンガイド及び仮軸の一つが、請求項1記載の生分解性樹脂成形体であることを特徴とするリニアガイド装置。
