BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a protective relay used in a power system and the like, and more particularly, to a digital protective relay that performs signal transmission between a plurality of units.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the hardware configuration of a digital type protective relay includes an analog input unit that inputs voltage and current of an electric power system, an arithmetic unit that performs a predetermined protective relay operation on the voltage and current, and a circuit breaker. It is composed of a plurality of units such as an output unit for outputting a trip command and an input unit for inputting a status of an external device. The plurality of units are connected to a system bus, and data is exchanged between the units by signal transmission via the system bus (see, for example,
[0003]
In addition, protective relays that are introduced as equipment such as substations of electric power companies are normally used for 20 to 30 years, but there are defective parts used in the protective relays during the period of use. May damage the protective relay. In the digital protective relay having the above hardware configuration, when the protective relay fails, it is desirable to restore the protective relay by replacing only the failed unit in the protective relay with a normal unit.

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the digital protection relay having the conventional hardware configuration as described above, when a failure occurs or when it is necessary to increase the protection function, not only the failed unit or the unit whose design is changed, but also the protection relay There is a problem that the whole must be exchanged and redesigned. This problem will be described below.
[0006]
First, the units that make up a digital protection relay are mainly composed of electronic circuits, but the production of electronic components, digital ICs, or microprocessors used in those circuits will be discontinued if the demand in the market decreases. In recent years, there are many parts with a manufacturing period of several years.
[0007]
For this reason, the period of use of the protective relay is 20-30 years as described above, whereas the manufacturing period of the parts used in the digital protective relay is much shorter, such as several years. Problems arise when replacing only the faulty unit in In other words, in order to replace only the failed unit at the time of failure, it is necessary to keep those parts for 15 to 25 years even after the production of the parts is discontinued, which is not realistic in terms of quality and economy. .
[0008]
On the other hand, it is also possible to newly design and manufacture a unit having a substantially equivalent function by using a new part having a substantially equivalent function to a part whose production has been discontinued. However, in that case, design changes must be made to all other units for the following reasons.
[0009]
First, a system bus 202 to which a plurality of
[0010]
Therefore, if the failure of the digital protective relay occurs after the time when the redesign of the unit becomes necessary as a result of the part being discontinued, the failed unit must be replaced, All of the units also need to be replaced. In other words, the entire digital protection relay must be replaced.
[0011]
On the other hand, for protection relays introduced as equipment at a certain time, for example, it is necessary to increase the protection function 10 years after the introduction, and the protection function is enhanced by changing the program in the arithmetic unit There is. At this time, the program may not be changed due to the processing capability of the microprocessor in the arithmetic unit. On the other hand, since it is common that the processing power of a microprocessor that appears in 10 years has dramatically improved, if a new microprocessor with such high processing power is used, it has been enhanced. In many cases, the function can be realized.
[0012]
Accordingly, in this case, the design may be changed by changing the microprocessor used for the arithmetic unit to a new one. However, when the design of the arithmetic unit is changed in this way, the design of all other units needs to be changed along with the change of the design of the arithmetic unit, as in the case where the manufacture of the parts is discontinued. Eventually, the protection function is enhanced by replacing all units, in other words, replacing the entire protective relay.
[0013]
As described above, when a protective relay having a conventional hardware configuration is used over a period of 20 to 30 years, when a failure occurs or when it is necessary to increase the protective function, In addition to the failed unit and the unit to be augmented, the entire protective relay including all other units must be replaced and redesigned. This increases the amount of work required for replacement and design changes, and increases the number of replacement parts, equipment, and materials, which is not only economical, but also generates a lot of waste. There is also a problem on the whole surface.
[0014]
The present invention has been proposed in order to solve the above-described problems of the prior art, and the purpose of the present invention is that a failure occurs while the protective relay is used for a period of 20 to 30 years. In this case, it is possible to provide a digital protection relay that is excellent in economic efficiency and environmental protection by making it possible to limit the parts to be replaced / designed when the protection function needs to be increased.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is such that at least a part of a transmission unit connecting between units is a serial transmission path, thereby loosely coupling between units in that part. Even when a specific unit needs to be replaced or a design change is required, the other unit can be used as it is by simply replacing the target unit and changing the design.
[0020]
The invention according to
[0021]
According to the present invention, the sampling timing of the analog input unit can be managed by the arithmetic unit by determining the sampling timing by the arithmetic unit and supplying the sampling timing reference signal to the analog input unit. When a plurality of analog input units are used, the sampling timing can be managed by the arithmetic unit, so that sampling can be performed at exactly the same sampling timing among the plurality of analog input units.
[0022]
Claim2The invention of claim1In this digital protection relay, the sampling timing reference signal is included in the frame header of the transmission format of the signal serially transmitted from the arithmetic unit to the analog input unit.
[0023]
According to the present invention, by including the sampling timing reference signal in the frame header in the transmission format, the configuration of the transmission format can be simplified and the signal processing can be simplified.
[0024]
Claim3The invention of claim 1Or 2The digital protective relay is characterized in that the second transmission unit, the arithmetic unit, and the input / output unit are configured as follows. That is, the second transmission unit is configured as a serial transmission path. The arithmetic unit is configured to include an output control signal for causing the input / output unit to output in a frame header of a transmission format of a signal serially transmitted to the input / output unit. The input / output unit is configured to output in accordance with the output control signal in the signal received from the arithmetic unit.
[0025]
Claim4The invention of claim3In the digital protection relay, the computation unit transmits idle data to the input / output unit in the normal state, and when the output from the input / output unit becomes necessary, the transmission format of the signal to be serially transmitted to the input / output unit The frame header is configured to include an output control signal.
[0026]
According to the invention as described above, in the transmission format from the arithmetic unit to the input / output unit, by including the output control signal in the frame header, in the event of a system failure, the arithmetic unit to the input / output unit. The delay in the transmission of the output control signal can be reduced as much as possible. Specifically, normally, idle data is transmitted, and output is included without delay in the event of a system failure by including an output control signal in the frame header at the moment when output is required due to an accident. be able to.
