Description

Claims (8)
- 異なるタイプのオペレーティング・システムを実行する複数の区画に関するグローバル・エラーを報告するための論理分割データ処理システムであって、
グローバル・エラーの検出に応答して、前記グローバル・エラーに対応する固有識別子を関連付ける手段と、
前記固有識別子をサービス・フォーカル・ポイントへ送るための第1の送出手段であって、前記サービス・フォーカル・ポイントが、前記論理分割データ処理システムと通信するハードウエア・コンソール上に実装されている、第1の送出手段と、
前記固有識別子を前記複数の区画へ送るための第2の送出手段と、
前記複数の区画から前記サービス・フォーカル・ポイントへ前記グローバル・エラーに関するエラー情報を送るための第3の送出手段であって、前記複数の区画から送られたエラー情報は前記サービス・フォーカル・ポイントにおいて、前記固有識別子を使用して識別される、前記第3の送出手段と、
を含む、前記論理分割データ処理システム。 - 前記識別する手段および前記第1の送出手段は、前記論理分割データ処理システムのサービス・プロセッサに含まれる、請求項1に記載の論理分割データ処理システム。
- 前記固有識別子は、特定のグローバル・エラーにそれぞれ関連付けられている複数の固有識別子の一部である、請求項1に記載の論理分割データ処理システム。
- 前記グローバル・エラーは、メモリ内のエラー、電源の障害、ファンの障害、またはプロセッサの障害である、請求項1に記載の論理分割データ処理システム。
- 前記固有識別子を使用して識別される、前記複数の区画からのエラー情報に基づいて前記グローバル・エラーに関するエラー報告を作成するための手段をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の論理分割データ処理システム。
- 前記エラー情報は、前記複数の区画内において動作する各タイプのオペレーティング・システムに固有の情報を含む、請求項1に記載の論理分割データ処理システム。
- 異なるタイプのオペレーティング・システムを実行する複数の区画を有する論理分割データ処理システムにおけるグローバル・エラーを報告するためのデータ処理システムにおいて、前記論理分割データ処理システムと通信するデータ処理システムが、
サービス・フォーカル・ポイントにおいて前記複数の区画から前記固有識別子のセットからの固有識別子を含むグローバル・エラーの報告を受け取るための受け取り手段であって、前記サービス・フォーカル・ポイントが、前記論理分割データ処理システムと通信するハードウエア・コンソール上に実装され、各報告は前記固有識別子のセットからの固有識別子を含み、エラーが、異なるタイプのオペレーティング・システムを実行している複数の区画によって共有されるリソース中に存在する、前記受け取る手段と、
前記サービス・フォーカル・ポイントにおいて、特定のグローバル・エラーを、前記特定のグローバル・エラーに対応する固有識別子を含む選択された報告だけを使用して処理するための処理手段と、
を含む、前記データ処理システム。 - 前記データ処理システムが、前記論理分割データ処理システムと通信するハードウエア・コンソールである、請求項7に記載のデータ処理システム。
