Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mounting structure and a mounting method for a drip molding for an automobile for preventing rain water from flowing from a front window or a roof to a side window and obstructing a driver's side view during traveling.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As shown in FIG. 6, the drip molding includes a window pad 1 and a roof pad 2, where the window pad 1 is a connection part between the side panel 3 and the front window W of the vehicle body, and the roof pad 2 is the side panel. 3 and the roof R are attached to the connecting portions, respectively, to prevent water from flowing out from the connecting portions to the side window side.
[0003]
In addition, the window pad part 1 and the roof pad part 2 are integrally formed continuously, or are formed separately and connected by a joint.
[0004]
In addition to the water treatment, this drip molding also has a role as a decorative cover that conceals the gaps and grooves in the connecting portions and maintains the beauty.
[0005]
For this reason, after assembling the side panel 3, the front window W, and the roof R, the drip molding is attached to the connecting portion.
[0006]
In addition, both the abutting portions 1 and 2 are detachably attached to the connecting portion at a plurality of locations indicated by □ in the drawing so that the mall can be easily replaced when damaged.
[0007]
This conventional mounting structure will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0008]
FIG. 7 shows attachment portions at the front end portion of the window pad portion 1, FIG. 8 shows attachment portions at a plurality of locations other than the front end portion of the window pad portion 1, and FIG. 9 shows attachment portions at a plurality of locations of the roof pad portion 2.
[0009]
In each figure, 4 is a metal core material constituting the window pad portion 1 and the roof pad portion 2, and 5 is a coating material made of an elastic material such as plastic or rubber that covers the core material 4.
[0010]
As shown in FIG. 7, a front end fixture 6 is attached to the front end portion of the window pad portion 1, and the projection 7 of the front end mount member 6 is pushed into the engagement hole 8 on the side panel 3 side to thereby wind the window pad. The front end is attached.
[0011]
As shown in FIG. 8, a front mounting fixture 9 is attached to a plurality of locations other than the front end of the window pad 1, and a projecting piece 10 projecting from the mounting fixture 9 is fixed to the side panel 3 side. A portion other than the front end portion of the window pad portion 1 is attached by being fitted into the front receiving member 11 having a U-shaped cross section.
[0012]
As shown in FIG. 9, a rear fixture 12 is attached to a plurality of locations of the roof abutting portion 2, and a protruding piece 13 protruding from the fixture 12 is fixed to the side panel 3 side. The roof abutting portion 2 is attached by being fitted into the.
[0013]
Each of the fixtures 6, 9, 12 and the receptacles 11, 14 is made of plastic, and these are elastically engaged or fitted to obtain a molding attachment force.
[0014]
[Prior art]
Here, conventionally, as shown in each drawing, the projections 7 or the projecting pieces 10 and 13 of the respective fixtures 6, 9, and 12 project downward, and the side panel side engagement holes 8 or the receivers 11 are provided. , 14 is configured to be fitted from the top to the bottom, that is, the molding is assembled from above to below at all attachment points.
[0015]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, according to the conventional mall mounting structure in which the mounting direction of the mall is the same (from top to bottom) in this way, the external force is transferred to the other part when it is removed by an upward external force during use. There was a problem that it was easy to come off in a wide range (in the worst case, the whole mall).
[0016]
Therefore, the present invention provides a mounting structure and a mounting method for an automobile molding that can prevent the molding from coming off by suppressing the spread of external force.
[0017]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention (attachment structure) of claim 1 has the following requirements.
[0018]
( A ) The drip molding is detachably assembled at a plurality of positions in the front-rear direction with respect to the molding mounting part on the vehicle body side.
[0019]
( B ) The mounting direction of the window pad attached to the connecting part between the side panel of the vehicle body and the front window is different between the front end and the other parts.
[0020]
( C ) The assembling direction of the roof abutting portion attached to the connecting portion between the side panel and the roof is different between the rear end portion and the other portions.
[0021]
( D ) The assembling direction of the window pad and the roof pad is different between the continuous parts.
[0022]
( E ) Each of the above assembling locations is assembled with any one of the three directions of up and down, inside and outside of the vehicle body, and front and rear.
[0023]
( F ) The mall as a whole is assembled with the above three directions.
[0024]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a window pad portion attached to a connection portion between a side panel and a front window of a vehicle body, and a roof pad portion attached to a connection portion between the side panel and the roof. Is mounted from the inside to the outside of the vehicle body, and the other parts are assembled from the top to the bottom, and attached to the connecting part of the side panel and the front window. The parts are assembled from the inside to the outside of the vehicle body, and are attached to the connecting part of the side panel and the roof .
[0025]
The invention of claim 3 (mounting method) has a window contacting portion attached to the connecting portion of the vehicle body side panel and the front window, the formed Ru drip molding and a roof support part attached to the connecting portion of the side panels and the roof, It is detachably attached to the connecting portion in the following order ( I ) to ( IV ) and assembling procedures.
[0026]
( I ) Assemble the rear end of the roof rest.
[0027]
( II ) A portion other than the rear end portion of the roof abutting portion is assembled in a direction different from that of the rear end portion.
[0028]
( III ) The parts other than the front end part in the window pad part are assembled in a different direction from the parts other than the rear end part in the roof pad part.
[0029]
( IV ) Assemble the front end of the window pad in a direction different from the portion other than the front end.
[0030]
According to the above configuration, since the multiple locations of the mall are assembled with three types of directionality: top / bottom, left / right ( inside / outside of the car body ) , and front / rear, the basic effect is that the assembly direction differs even if part of the mall is removed The influence of external force on the part of can be suppressed.
[0031]
By the way, in the case of the mall in which the window pad and the roof pad are formed integrally, if one of the two pads is removed, the external force is easily transmitted to the other pad, and therefore the entire mall is easily detached. In this respect, since the assembling directions of the two abutting portions are different from each other in the continuous portion, even if one of the both abutting portions is detached , the external force is not transmitted to the other abutting portion.
[0032]
In addition, in each of the abutting portions, the assembling direction is changed between the end portion where the external force is easily applied and the other portions, so that the external force acting on the end portion does not spread to the molding intermediate portion side.
[0033]
Due to the synergistic effect of these points, the detachment of the mall due to external force can be kept to a minimum range, and the detachment of the entire mall can be surely prevented.
[0034]
According to the method of claim 3 , since the rear end of the molding can be positioned at the rear end of the roof abutting portion to be assembled first, the front end of the window abutting portion can be obtained even if there is a molding dimensional error or a vehicle body assembly error. On the side, for example, the excessive amount of the mall is pushed into the hood more easily (if the amount is insufficient, the pushing amount is reduced). For this reason, the assembling workability of the mall is good.
[0035]

By being fitted into the provided stud 25 via the guide hole 22, the rear end portion of the roof abutting portion is assembled from the front to the rear.
[0044]
Assembly of the above ( II ) (the part other than the rear end part in the roof abutting part 2 = the part marked with Δ in FIG. 1) (see FIG. 4)
Rear attachments 26 are attached by studs 27 at a plurality of locations on the front and rear sides of the side panel connection portion 24 of the roof R.
[0045]
A molding engaging portion 28 that is slightly narrower than the molding width is provided at the upper portion of the fixture 26, and the roof contact portion 2 of the molding is fitted into the molding engaging portion 28 from the inside to the outside of the vehicle body. By this, parts other than the rear end part of the roof abutting part 2 are assembled.
[0046]
At this time, the roof abutting portion 2 uses the elasticity of the molding engaging portion 28 after being engaged with the molding engaging portion 27 in the arrow direction in the drawing in a slightly outwardly inclined posture shown by a two-dot chain line in the drawing. By being returned to the solid line posture, it is fitted to the molding engaging portion 27.
[0047]
Assembly of the above ( III ) (parts other than the front end portion of the window pad portion 1 = marked portion in FIG. 1) (not shown)
This portion has the same structure as that shown in FIG. 8 (the conventional mounting structure of the window pad 1), that is, the projecting pieces 10 of the front mounting fixture 9 mounted at a plurality of front and rear positions of the window pad 1 are arranged on the side panel 3 side. It is assembled from above to below by being elastically fitted into a U-shaped receiving member 11 attached to the.
[0048]
Assembly of the above ( IV ) (front end of the window pad 1 = portion marked with ◎ in FIG. 1) (see FIG. 5)
A front end fixture 29 is attached to the front end portion of the roof abutting portion 1.
[0049]
In the conventional structure for attaching the front end portion of the roof abutment shown in FIG. 7, the front end fitting 6 is provided with a downward projection 7, and this projection 7 is engaged with the engagement hole 8 on the side panel 3 side from below. On the other hand, in this structure, the front end fitting 29 is provided with a protrusion 30 facing outward from the vehicle body, and this protrusion 30 is elastically engaged with an engagement hole 31 provided laterally on the side panel 3 side. Thus, the front end portion of the window pad portion is assembled from the inside of the vehicle body to the outside.
[0050]
According to this molding mounting structure, the mounting direction of the molding is as described above.
(I) It differs between the window pad 1 (from top to bottom) and the roof pad 2 (from inside to outside)
(Ii) It differs between the front end portion (from the vehicle body inner side to the outer side) and the other portion (from the upper side to the lower side) in the window pad 1,
(Iii) The rear end portion (from front to rear) of the roof abutting portion 2 is different from the other portion (from the vehicle body inner side to the outer side).
[0051]
In other words, since the multiple mall locations are assembled with three types of directionality: top and bottom, left and right (inside and outside the vehicle body), and front and back, the basic effect is to move to other parts where the assembly direction is different even if part is removed by external force Can suppress the spread of external force.
[0052]
In particular, in the molding in which the window pad part 1 and the roof pad part 2 are integrally formed as described in this embodiment, even if one of the two pad parts 1 and 2 is removed, the external force is not transmitted to the other pad part.
[0053]
Further, in each of the abutting portions 1 and 2, since the assembly direction is changed between the end portion where the external force is easily applied and the other portions, the external force applied to the end portion does not spread to the molding intermediate portion side.
[0054]
Due to the synergistic effect of these points, the detachment of the mall due to external force can be kept to a minimum range, and the detachment of the entire mall can be surely prevented.
[0055]
Further, the rear end portion of the roof abutting portion 2 is assembled first, the rear end portion of the roof abutting portion is positioned, and other portions are assembled. For example, the front end of the window abutting portion 1 is caused by the dimensional error of the molding or the assembly error of the vehicle body. If a surplus portion is generated on the side, the surplus portion is pushed into the hood more, and if it is insufficient, adjustment such as reducing the push amount becomes easy. For this reason, the assembling workability of the mall is good.
[0056]
Other Embodiments (1) In the above embodiment, the molding is arranged in the order of the rear end portion of the roof abutting portion 2 → the other portion of the same portion 2 → the portion other than the front end portion of the window abutting portion 1 → the front end portion of the same portion, In other words, the procedure for assembling from the back to the front was taken, but the procedure for assembling from the front to the back, or the procedure for assembling the front and rear ends after assembling the molding middle portion may be taken.
[0057]
However, as a result of trial and error by the present inventor, it was confirmed that the workability is best when the molding is attached according to the assembly procedure and direction of the above embodiment.
[0058]
(2) Specific mold coupling structure of Parts can be variously modified in addition to the above embodiment. For example, as a structure assembled in the front-rear direction, instead of the structure shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a tunnel-like engagement portion is provided in the opposite side panel connection portion 24 of the roof R instead of the stud 25, and the rear end fixture 21 is provided. A structure may be adopted in which a projecting piece provided rearward is inserted into and engaged with the engaging portion.
[0059]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, since the plurality of moldings are assembled with three types of directions, up and down, left and right ( inside and outside the vehicle body ) , and front and back, the basic effect is that even if part is removed due to external force, Ripple of external force to other parts with different directions can be suppressed.
[0060]
By the way, in the case of the mall in which the window pad and the roof pad are formed integrally, if one of the two pads is removed, the external force is easily transmitted to the other pad, and therefore the entire mall is easily detached. In this respect, since the assembling directions of the two abutting portions are different from each other in the continuous portion, even if one of the both abutting portions is detached, the external force is not transmitted to the other abutting portion.
[0061]
Further, in each of the contact portions, the assembly direction is changed between the end portion where the external force is likely to act and the other portions, so that the external force acting on the end portion does not spread to the molding middle portion side.
[0062]
Due to the synergistic effect of these points, the detachment of the mall due to external force can be kept to a minimum range, and the detachment of the entire mall can be surely prevented.
[0063]
According to the invention of claim 3 , since the rear end of the molding can be positioned at the rear end of the roof abutting portion to be assembled first, the front end of the window abutting portion can be obtained even if there is a molding dimensional error or a vehicle body assembly error. On the side, for example, the excessive amount of the mall is pushed into the hood more easily (if the amount is insufficient, the pushing amount is reduced). For this reason, the assembling workability of the mall is good.
