Description
【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、多数種の原材料をペットに均等に摂取させると共に、摂取量（容量）を適度に調整することを目的としたペットフードの製造方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来ペットフードの原材料を配合した後、押出して造粒し、乾燥した後、熱処理の前又は後に、油と味フレーバーコンティングを施して嗜好性を向上させるペットフードの製造方法が提案されている（特開昭６４−３９９５３号）。またペットフード原材料に粒状のワカメおよび／またはコンブを混入して加圧加熱成形することを特徴としたペットフードの提案もある（特開平４−１６１４９号）。

【発明により解決すべき課題】
前記各先行発明によれば、ペットフードは何れも総合栄養食として栄養バランスの優れたものであるが、いずれも粒状（ペレット状）であって、ペットに与える際には計量する必要があり、計量しないと、過不足を生じるおそれがある。

また飼い主にとっては、粒状のペットフードをペット用食器などの容器に入れて与えるのでは、手ずから与えられない不満足感（楽しみがない）が生じる場合もある。

【課題を解決する為の手段】
然るにこの発明は、総合栄養食として栄養バランスの良い、原材料を配合した後加圧・加熱して得た粒片の多数を再度加熱・加圧し、要すれば他の添加物を加えて板体に一体成型するので、各原材料の均等分布化と相俟って、最初の加圧・加熱時に添加できない材料又は添加しない方が良い材料を混入し得ると共に、所定の大きさ、密度に一体成型することにより前記従来の問題点を解決したのである。例えば前記先行発明中押出機を使用した場合には、密度の値が小さくなる（例えば０．３〜０．５ｇ／cm3 ）ので、必要量の嵩が多くなり、ペットによっては必要量を摂取し得ない場合もある。また原材料を粉末化し、これを粒状化して加熱乾燥その他の手段をとる先願においては、製品が粒状になるが、この発明では粒片を更に一体成型することによって板状にできるので、前記従来の問題点を改善することができた。

即ちペットフードの製造方法の発明は、水分調節した原材料を、エクストルーダを使用して加圧、加熱して押出して得た膨化粒を混合し、該混合物を、成型機を使用して加熱温度は１４０〜２００℃、加熱圧力は１０〜５０ｋｇｆ／ｃｍ ２ で２〜３０秒間、再度加圧、加熱して、密度０．５〜１．５ｇ／ｃｍ3、厚さ１．０〜１０ｍｍ、重量２〜４０ｇの板状に一体成型するペットフードの製造方法である。

前記発明において、一体成型時の温度を１４０℃未満にすると、粒片の接着が不十分となり、２００℃を越えると、原材料に変性を生じるおそれがある。また加圧時間を２秒未満にすると、一体成型品の強度が不十分になり、３０秒を越えると、原材料に変性を生じるおそれがある。次に密度が０．５ｇ／cm3 未満の場合には必要量の嵩が大きくなり、１．５ｇ／cm3 を越えると食感が重くなり嗜好性に悪影響を生じるおそれがあるので、好ましくは０．８〜１．０ｇ／cm3 である。また１枚の重さを２ｇ未満にすると一枚が小さくなり、４０ｇを越えると１枚が大きすぎるので、好ましくは５〜１５ｇである。この発明のように２回加工することによって、原材料を多種類（例えば１０種〜３０種）にしても、適宜配合して均一に分布させることができる。粒片を原材料の組み合わせ毎に色彩別にすれば、１枚のペットフードの中の成分が一目明瞭になると共に、飼主に選択性を与えることができる。

【発明の効果】
この発明によれば製品を板状に成型するので、１枚毎の量が明確になり、計量することなく、枚数によって必要給餌量を知ることができる効果がある。

また１枚の中に含まれている原材料を知ることができると共に、適宜分割して手で与えることもできるので、ペットに対する一体感を得る効果がある。更に配合原材料を均等に分布させてあることを確認し易く、安心感と、栄養のバランスを認め得る効果があり、澱粉質原材料については澱粉質のα化が進み消化性を向上させる効果がある。次にこの発明の実施例について説明する。

ミネラル・色素剤 １重量部

燐酸カルシウム １重量部
食塩 １重量部
牛脂 ２重量部

原材料を混合粉砕し、次いで水を加え水分が１５〜２５％になるように調節した後、エクストルーダーで加圧加熱押出し（１２０〜１４０℃、２〜１０kgf ／cm2 ）処理し、膨化粒（直径１〜２mm）を得た。この、膨化粒と穀物、乾燥野菜等を下記割合で混合した。

上記混合物を成型機に導入した。成型機で、１６０℃、２０秒で直径４５mm、厚さ３mm、密度０．９ｇ／cm2 の板状ペットフードを得た。この重量は４．５ｇであった。

【実施例２】
実施例１で作成した膨化粒に、乾燥野菜等を下記割合で混合した。

上記混合物を成型機に導入した。成型機で２００℃、５秒で縦５０mm、横３０mm、厚さ５mm、密度１．２ｇ／cm3 の長方形の板状ペットフードを得た。この重量は９ｇであった。

【試験例１】
種々の条件で板状ペットフードを作成し、得られた板状ペットフードのα化度の測定を行った所、表１の結果を得た。

α化度は糊化度とも称し食物中の澱粉質が膨潤し、消化酵素による被分解性の指標となるものである。表１より本発明品のα化度が上昇し、ペットの消化性がよくなる。表１のα化度はグルコアミラーゼ法（株式会社光琳発行、食品分析法）に依った。

【試験例２】
実施例１で作成した板状ペットフードを給餌皿ａに市販粒状ドックフードを給餌皿ｂに入れ２者選択の方法で４日間給餌を行った。試験は、ビーグル犬（平均体重約１０kg）２０頭を使用した。

そして、各犬が摂食したそれぞれの皿のフードの重量比率を算出し、表２の結果を得た。本発明品の板状ペットフードの嗜好性は市販粒状ペットフードを凌ぐものであった。

【試験例３】
ペット飼育者３０名に市販のドックフードと、実施例１及び２で作成した板状ペットフードを提示し、ペットフードとしての好ましさを５点法にて評価した所、表３の結果を得た。本発明品は２品とも市販粒状ペットフードよりもその外観の好ましさやペットに与えやすい点などが評価されペット飼育者が好感がもてるというものであった。

Claims (1)
- 水分調節した原材料を、エクストルーダを使用して加圧、加熱して押出して得た膨化粒を混合し、該混合物を、成型機を使用して加熱温度は１４０〜２００℃、加熱圧力は１０〜５０ｋｇｆ／ｃｍ ２ で２〜３０秒間、再度加圧、加熱して、密度０．５〜１．５ｇ／ｃｍ3、厚さ１．０〜１０ｍｍ、重量２〜４０ｇの板状に一体成型するペットフードの製造方法。
