従来、図に示すように、エキゾーストマニホールド2はその上端側をボルト3,3を介し内燃機関本体1に固定されており、エキゾーストマニホールド2の下端側には、排気ガスを浄化するための触媒コンテナ4がボルト等により連結されたものとなり、触媒コンテナ4は、内燃機関本体1に固定されて突出された保持ブラケット51に固定支持されている。
このような従来構造において、内燃機関本体1の運転時には、高温の排気ガスにより前記エキゾーストマニホールド2が高温となり、エキゾーストマニホールド2は熱膨脹して延びようとするが、上下方向の延びが全て抑制された構造となっているため、エキゾーストマニホールドが膨脹した時に、特にポート部、即ちエキゾーストマニホールド2の上端の内燃機関本体1に対する固定部位に亀裂が発生する恐れがあるという問題点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記従来の問題点に鑑み案出したものであって、請求項1は、一端側が内燃機関本体に固定されたエキゾーストマニホールドの他端側に垂下状に連結された触媒コンテナをブラケットを介し支持する構造において、前記ブラケットは、垂下方向を支持する取付片を有し、該取付片は、前記一端側に形成されたフランジ部から連続して垂下状に形成された延出片の下端側に略90°折曲して前記触媒コンテナ側へ折れ曲がるように形成されてなり、前記触媒コンテナは、前記取付片にスライドブッシュを介して固定されたことである。
また、請求項は、前記触媒コンテナは、下方向に差し込んだボルトにナットを締め付けることで前記取付片に連結され、前記スライドブッシュは、該ボルトの外周に介装されてなることである。

以下、本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1は、第1実施例の触媒コンテナの支持構造を示す構成図であり、図2は図1の要部拡大断面構成図である。
図において、内燃機関本体1の排気ポート部には固定ボルト3,3を介しエキゾーストマニホールド2の上端側のフランジ部2aが固定されており、エキゾーストマニホールド2の下端側には触媒コンテナ4がボルト等で連結されているが、この触媒コンテナ4を支持するために、本例では前記フランジ部2aから連続して垂下状に延出片2bが形成され、延出片2bの下端側は略90°折曲して触媒コンテナ4側へ折り曲がる取付片2cを形成しており、この取付片2cに、触媒コンテナ4をボルト5にナット6を締め付けて連結する際に、スライドブッシュ7がボルト5の外周に介装され、このスライドブッシュ7を介在させた状態でナット6を締め付けて触媒コンテナ4が固定され、触媒コンテナ4は、この延出片2b及び取付片2cからなるブラケットBにより良好に左右方向の揺れが防がれた状態で支持されることとなり、しかも、内燃機関本体1が運転されて高温の排気ガスがエキゾーストマニホールド2内に入り、エキゾーストマニホールド2が高温となって下方側へ膨脹する時に、この膨脹による延びを前記スライドブッシュ7により良好に吸収することができるため、従来のようにエキゾーストマニホールド2の上端側で亀裂が発生する恐れがなく、膨脹時の延びによる弊害を良好にスライドブッシュ7で防止できるように構成されている。

【発明の効果】
本発明は、一端側が内燃機関本体に固定されたエキゾーストマニホールドの他端側に垂下状に連結された触媒コンテナをブラケットを介し支持する構造において、前記ブラケットは、垂下方向を支持する取付片を有し、該取付片は、前記一端側に形成されたフランジ部から連続して垂下状に形成された延出片の下端側に略90°折曲して前記触媒コンテナ側へ折れ曲がるように形成されてなり、前記触媒コンテナは、前記取付片にスライドブッシュを介して固定されたことにより、触媒コンテナは良好に左右方向の揺れが防がれた状態で支持されるとともに、内燃機関本体が運転されて高温の排気ガスによりエキゾーストマニホールドが高温となって膨脹した時にも、この膨脹による延びを良好にスライドブッシュで吸収できるために、エキゾーストマニホールドに亀裂が発生するような事態を確実に防ぐことができるものとなる。
