しかしながら、従来の乗客コンベアの移動手摺自動清掃装置では、清掃具自動更新時の押圧部の上下動駆動方式が、機械的に複雑なものであったり、また、押圧時には常に通電せざるを得ないソレノイド方式であったりして、装置の信頼性上や省エネ上で問題が多い。

この目的を達成するために本発明は、乗客コンベアの移動手摺に摺接する清掃具を前記移動手摺に選択的に当接させる手段を備え、前記移動手摺の移動に伴って前記清掃具により移動手摺の表面を自動的に清掃し、かつ、前記清掃具を自動的に更新する乗客コンベアの移動手摺清掃装置において、前記清掃具の自動更新時には前記清掃具を前記移動手摺から引き離し、更新終了後に再度前記移動手摺に押圧する清掃具押圧手段を備え、この清掃具押圧手段は、前記清掃具を上下動させる偏心カムと、この偏心カムの逆転を阻止する一方向回転クラッチと、この一方向回転クラッチの外周が固定されるクラッチ支持金具とを有する構成にしてある。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように本発明によれば、清掃具を移動手摺から引き離し、あるいは押圧する清掃具押圧手段が、清掃具を上下動させる偏心カムと、この偏心カムの逆転を阻止する一方向回転クラッチとを有する構成にしてあることから、清掃具を上下動させるための構成部品が従来に比べて少なく、高い信頼性を維持できしかも小型軽量で安価な清掃装置を提供できる。
