Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is widely used in place of natural turf for poolside, baseball, golf, soccer fields, interior decorations, etc., has little deterioration in performance due to moisture absorption, water absorption, etc., has excellent bending / extension fatigue characteristics, and disperse dyes The present invention relates to an artificial turf yarn excellent in color developability due to and an artificial turf using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, instead of natural turf, artificial turf has been increasingly used for poolside, baseball, golf, soccer field, interior decoration, and so on. Conventionally, vinylidene chloride, nylon 6, polyethylene, polypropylene and the like have been generally used as raw materials for such artificial turf.
[0003]
Among these, for example, vinylidene chloride is superior in the characteristics required for turf yarns such as fatigue resistance, weather resistance, and flame resistance, but it is said that chlorine gas and dioxin are generated during incineration after disposal. The problem is pointed out. On the other hand, olefin fibers such as polyethylene and polypropylene do not generate toxic gas during combustion, but have problems in durability during repeated fatigue, weather resistance and flame retardancy. Also, the durability of nylon fibers is very good, but basically the problem is that the mechanical performance changes when drying and when wet, and the characteristics as lawn also change. There was a point.
[0004]
In this way, there is little deterioration in performance due to moisture absorption, water absorption, etc., excellent fatigue resistance during repeated elongation and bending deformation, and further excellent weather resistance etc. There has been a demand for yarn and artificial turf using it.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the present invention, as described above, there is little change in performance due to moisture absorption / water absorption and a decrease in performance due to ultraviolet exposure when used for a long time, and also has mechanical durability such as bending fatigue, An object of the present invention is to provide an artificial turf raw yarn having a well-balanced performance such as excellent weather resistance and the like, and an artificial turf using the same.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
That is, the present invention is characterized in that the main component is a polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5 or more mainly composed of propylene terephthalate, and has a strength of 4.5 g / d or more and a breaking elongation of 15% or more. Artificial turf raw yarn, and the main part of the surface layer is composed mainly of a polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5 or more whose main repeating unit is propylene terephthalate, a strength of 4.5 g / d or more and a break of 15% or more The present invention provides an artificial turf composed of an artificial turf yarn having elongation. The present invention is described in detail below.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The technical point in the present invention is to use a polyester fiber having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5 or more having propylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit as a main component material of the artificial turf yarn constituting the surface of the artificial turf. By being a polyester fiber as the main skeleton, it is possible to basically suppress moisture absorption and water absorption, and to suppress long-term deterioration accelerated by them. Furthermore, compared to polyamide, its use is economical, and since it is basically polyester, resource recovery is easy, and there is an advantage that no toxic gas is generated during incineration.
[0008]
It is important that the polyester used in the present invention is a polyester having terephthalic acid as the main acid component and trimethylene glycol as the main glycol component. Since the glycol component is trimethylene glycol, the artificial turf yarn made of polyester with this as the main skeleton maintains good properties such as hydrophobicity of the polyester and is made of polyamide fiber. It has excellent bending fatigue and elongation recovery properties equivalent to or better than the artificial turf yarn, and the artificial turf using it has a good balance of various performances.
[0009]
The polyester in the present invention will be described in more detail. The polyester is mainly composed of terephthalic acid as a main acid component and trimethylene glycol as a main glycol component. Further, a polyester in which a part of the terephthalic acid component is replaced with another bifunctional carboxylic acid component may be used, and / or a part of the glycol component is replaced with the above-described glycol or other diol component other than the main component. Polyester may be used. Examples of the bifunctional carboxylic acid other than terephthalic acid used here include isophthalic acid, naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, diphenyldicarboxylic acid, diphenoxyethanedicarboxylic acid, β-hydroxyethoxybenzoic acid, p-oxybenzoic acid, and adipic acid. And aromatic, aliphatic and alicyclic bifunctional carboxylic acids such as sebacic acid and 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid. Examples of the diol component other than the glycol include aliphatic, alicyclic and aromatic diols such as ethylene glycol, tetramethylene glycol, cyclohexane-1,4-dimethanol, neopentyl glycol, bisphenol A, and bisphenol S. Examples thereof include compounds and polyoxyalkylene glycols. Further, within the range in which the polyester is substantially linear, polycarboxylic acids such as trimellitic acid and pyromellitic acid, polyols such as glycerin, trimethylolpropane, and pentaerythritol, 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid, 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid A monomer having a trifunctional or higher ester-forming group such as an acid can be used. Further, it may be a blend of the above-mentioned polymer or copolymer.
[0010]
In the present invention, the polyester fiber composed of the dicarboxylic acid component and the diol component described above is a material that is satisfactory in terms of bending fatigue characteristics, elongation recovery properties, and weather resistance in which the propylene terephthalate component is not 50% or more of the total. I can't. Further, it is particularly preferable that 80 mol% or more of the repeating units are propylene terephthalate units.
[0011]
The form of the fiber in the present invention may be a monofilament or a multifilament. In the case of tufting, it is usually preferable to use a product obtained by twisting multifilaments of about 500 deniers in terms of performance such as appearance and durability. The cross-sectional shape of the yarn is not particularly limited, but is preferably an ellipse or a flat shape. In some cases, the yarn may have a slit yarn shape obtained by cutting a film.
[0012]
The artificial turf provided by the present invention is composed mainly of a polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5 or more, the main part of the surface layer of which is propylene terephthalate as the main repeating unit, a strength of 4.5 g / d or more, and 15% or more. It is characterized in that it is composed of an artificial turf yarn having an elongation at break, and the use form of the yarn is not limited. Basically, the above-mentioned raw yarn is cut into staples of so-called tufted artificial turf that forms a pile part tufted into a woven or non-woven fabric such as polypropylene or polyester, and this artificial turf raw yarn is cut into staples, and after web lamination Examples include a so-called needle punch type artificial turf that is formed into a sheet by needle punching. A tufted type is preferred to bring out the elastic recovery characteristics of the material.
[0013]
In addition, the artificial turf yarn contains a small amount of other polymers, antioxidants, antistatic agents, dyeing improvers, dyes, pigments, matting agents, fluorescent brighteners, inert fine particles and other additives. An agent may be contained. In particular, when adding inert fine particles, either the external precipitation method or the internal precipitation method can be employed. In particular, in this application, which is premised on long-term outdoor use, blending of a colorant such as a pigment and an ultraviolet absorber is preferred.
[0014]
In order to obtain a high-strength fiber used in the present invention, the intrinsic viscosity of the polymer needs to be 0.5 or more. In order to obtain a polymer having such a high degree of polymerization, a method using only melt polymerization However, if a higher degree of polymerization is required, it is preferable to increase the degree of polymerization by solid phase polymerization under vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere.
[0015]
[Action]
By using the polyester material of the present invention, it has characteristics such as elastic recovery and bending properties compared to the case of using nylon or polyolefin material, and also performance degradation due to moisture absorption / absorption and long-term outdoor exposure to light. There is little decrease in performance. Furthermore, it is possible to provide an artificial lawn raw yarn having a good balance of performances such as excellent weather resistance and the like, and an artificial lawn using the same.
[0016]
【Example】
EXAMPLES Hereinafter, although an Example demonstrates this invention concretely, this invention is not limited to these. In addition, the evaluation method of various characteristics followed the following method.
[0017]
Intrinsic viscosity: The polymer was dissolved in a phenol / tetrachloroethane = 1/1 mixed solvent and measured at 30 ° C.
[0018]
Fineness: According to the definition of JIS-L-1013, it was measured after being left for 24 hours in a room where the temperature and humidity were controlled at 20 ° C. and 65% RH.
[0019]
Strength and elongation: According to the definition of JIS-L1013, after leaving in a room controlled at 20 ° C. and 65% RH for 24 hours, tensile strength and elongation were measured with a tensile tester. The wet strength was measured by the same procedure after immersing the sample in water at room temperature for 24 hours, lightly wiping off the water adhering to the surface with gauze.
[0020]
Elastic recovery rate: Complies with JIS-L1013's method for measuring elongation elastic modulus, but after standing in a temperature and humidity controlled room at 20 ° C. and 65% RH for 24 hours, using a tensile tester, the yarn length is 20 cm. After 10% elongation at a speed of 2 cm / min, the sample is immediately deweighted, returned to the original gripping interval, and then immediately pulled at a pulling speed of 2 cm / min.
Elastic recovery rate (%) = (L−L1) / L × 100
L: Elongation at 10% elongation (mm, here 20mm)
L1: Residual strain after the first pull (mm)
[0021]
Example 1
A polypropylene terephthalate (PPT) resin having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.60 is preliminarily dried at 80 ° C. for 4 hours at a vacuum degree of 0.1 mmHg, and then subjected to solid-phase polymerization at 180 ° C. for 20 hours under the same vacuum conditions. 85 PPT resins were obtained. After solid state polymerization, the vacuum was broken with nitrogen gas and transferred to a container so as not to touch the outside air. The obtained PPT resin was melt-mixed with a predetermined pigment and an ultraviolet absorber in a screw type extruder adjusted to 270 ° C., and then the spinning temperature was adjusted using a die having a rectangular nozzle adjusted to 275 ° C. Similarly, spinning was performed at 275 ° C., cooled by cooling air at 20 ° C. and 0.3 m / s, taken up at a spinning speed of 500 m / min, and wound up once.
[0022]
This unstretched yarn was preheated with a hot roller adjusted to 60 ° C., then stretched 5.2 times under steam at 120 ° C., and heat-set at a relaxation rate of 3% with a hot roll set at 140 ° C., A 6-filament yarn was obtained at 520 denier. The cross-sectional shape of the yarn was an elliptical flat shape having a major axis / minor axis ratio of about 5.0. The obtained drawn yarn characteristics are shown in Table 1. An artificial turf yarn with little change in performance when wet and excellent elasticity recovery could be obtained.
[0023]
Example 2
The raw yarn obtained in Example 1 was twisted at Z250 times / m, and then two yarns were combined to form an upper twist, S200 times / m, combined and set to obtain a supply yarn. 5/32 gauge, step 9.5 using a tuft machine on a base fabric woven at a weaving density (warp: 31 / inch, 29 weft / inch) using a yarn of polyester 500 denier 96 filaments. Tufting was performed according to the standard of times per inch and pile height of 8 mm. The tufted material thus obtained was backed with a natural rubber-based backing, and both ears were cut to finish artificial grass. We were able to obtain a new artificial turf that had no problems in appearance and shape, had excellent fatigue resistance and weather resistance, and had little change in performance and touch even when dried and wet.
