【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a scan test of a single air filter, and more particularly to a method for performing a scan test of a high performance air filter and an apparatus used therefor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A high-performance filter such as a HEPA filter or ULPA filter is subjected to a scan test in order to confirm that the rated collection efficiency is satisfied after manufacture and that the filter has no leakage. As a method of the scan test, the test particles are introduced upstream of the test air filter through which clean air flows, the test particles diluted and mixed with clean air are supplied to the entire surface of the test filter, and scanning is performed downstream of the test filter. A method of detecting particles that pass through a test filter by a particle detector is generally performed.
[0003]
In the above prior art, test particles are continuously supplied over the entire upstream surface of the test filter until the downstream particle detector finishes scanning the entire surface of the air filter. Will be loaded. In recent years, clean rooms for precision machinery and pharmaceutical manufacturing have been required to have a cleaner environment, and there has been a demand for a high collection efficiency of air filters, which is an effective means for creating a dust-free environment. In particular, when performing a scan test with 100% inspection of ultra-high performance air filters, the pressure loss before and after the air filter increases if the scan test according to the above prior art is performed, resulting in a decrease in the performance of the air filter. .
[0004]
In order to generate test particles, a Ruskin nozzle type particle generator is used in which compressed air is mainly introduced from a nozzle immersed in a liquid and aerosolized test particles are obtained by bubbling. The test particles generated from this Ruskin nozzle type particle generator are introduced in the middle of the clean air flow path to the test air filter and suspended in the apparatus. It was necessary to increase the number, and measures such as increasing the number of particle feeders were taken. Therefore, the amount of test particles used is increased and the cost required for the test is also increased.
[0005]
On the other hand, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 4-77646, a nozzle led from a particle generator is installed on the upstream side of the test filter, and a plurality of probes are installed in the vertical direction on the downstream side of the test filter so that these probes are vertically and horizontally. Disclosed is a test filter leak test method and apparatus for scanning and detecting a test aerosol by connecting a leak detector for each probe.
[0006]
In this prior art apparatus, since a plurality of probes are scanned and inspection is performed over a wide range, the nozzle is provided at a separated position further upstream of the air rectifying plate upstream of the test filter. It is necessary to suspend the particles uniformly in the air so that the particle concentration upstream of the test filter is constant. Therefore, in this apparatus, the particle concentration generated from the particle feeder is diluted with a large amount of air until it reaches the test filter. Accordingly, when the size of the test filter is changed and the area of the filter is increased, the dilution rate is increased because the air flow rate is increased, so that the concentration of particles generated from the particle feeder needs to be increased. Further, the test particles are suspended and accumulated in the entire area in the apparatus upstream of the air filter, and the inside of the apparatus is contaminated.
[0007]
Since the apparatus disclosed in the above publication detects a test aerosol using a plurality of probes, the test of an air filter having the same area has the advantage of shortening the test time compared to a test apparatus having a single particle detector, It is necessary to connect a leak detector to each of the plurality of probes, which increases the manufacturing cost of the test apparatus.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention does not excessively contaminate the inside of a test apparatus during a scan test of a high-performance air filter, prevents overloading of test particles on a test air filter, and minimizes test particle consumption. An object of the present invention is to provide an air filter test method and a test apparatus therefor.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, an air filter test for supplying a test aerosol from a particle supplier upstream of an air filter and detecting a leaked test aerosol by scanning the particle detector vertically and horizontally on the downstream side of the air filter. In the method, the test aerosol generated from the particle supplier is supplied from the upstream side of the air filter, and the test aerosol from the particle supplier is locally synchronized with the vertical and horizontal scanning movements of the particle detector. An air filter test method is provided, wherein the test aerosol is supplied to the air filter and leaked test aerosol is detected.
[0010]
Furthermore, according to the present invention, a particle feeder that is installed upstream of the air filter and supplies test aerosol, and a particle that is installed downstream of the air filter and detects the leaked test aerosol and can move vertically and horizontally. An air filter test device including a detector, wherein the particle supplier is installed upstream of the air filter and locally supplies test aerosol to the air filter, and the particle supplier is connected to the particle detector. There is provided an air filter test apparatus characterized by the particle feeder that can move up and down, left and right together with the particle detector while facing each other.
[0011]
[Action]
When the air filter scan test is performed by the air filter test method according to the present invention and the test apparatus used therefor, the test particles are not suspended throughout the duct of the apparatus, and the inside of the apparatus is not contaminated. Also, since the particle feeder is located near the test filter, the particle concentration is hardly diluted, so that the generated particle concentration may be always constant even if the test flow rate is increased by changing the size of the test filter. . Therefore, it can be supplied to the air filter at the minimum necessary test particle concentration, and the amount of test particles used can be reduced.
[0012]
【Example】
Hereinafter, a description will be given of a scan test apparatus as an air filter test apparatus for carrying out the present invention and examples.

Several pinholes were provided at random to leak through 28.3 cc / min.

[0026]
In order to achieve the object of the present invention, for example, to suppress the generation amount of test particles and to prevent test filter contamination, it is desirable that the arrival rate of the test particles to the upstream surface of the test filter is 10% or more. That is, it is preferable that the diffusivity within an area corresponding to the opening area of the particle detector is within 1/10. In order to limit the diffusion of the test particles as much as possible, it is also possible to provide a rectifying means upstream of the particle feeder, thereby further separating the particle feeder from the test filter surface.
[0027]
In the actual filter test, it is necessary to set the test aerosol concentration during the test in consideration of the diffusion of the test particles. Therefore, the test aerosol generation concentration in the above example was set so that the particle concentration on the upstream surface of the test filter would be comparable to the conventional concentration example.

Next, as an example of a conventional method, a scan test was performed using the scan test apparatus of FIG. 3 which is a schematic diagram. In FIG. 3, a

【The invention's effect】
When the scan test is performed by the air filter test apparatus according to the present invention, the test particles can be supplied directly from the particle feeder immediately before the upstream side of the test filter, so that the test particles are not suspended throughout the duct. The contamination of the test filter can be prevented without excessively contaminating the inside of the duct. Further, the test particles are not diluted with clean air, and the amount of the test particles used can be minimized and the economic effect is great.
