【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a route guidance device, a route guidance method, and a route guidance program, and more particularly, to a route guidance device, a route guidance method, and a route guidance program for guiding a vehicle to a destination.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, when a destination is set, a route guidance device (navigation device) for a vehicle that guides a route by setting an optimum route from the current location to the destination and guiding along the set optimum route. Widely used.
Further, with the advancement of communication technology, it is also possible for an external information center to distribute map information and related information to the vehicle side via the Internet (see, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-10000163). Therefore, in the route guidance device mounted on the vehicle, it is also possible to perform route guidance using the latest map information and related information.
[0003]
On the other hand, conventionally, using a camera (eye camera) mounted in front of the driver's seat of the vehicle, the driver's line-of-sight direction is detected, and air conditioner switches are operated using the detected line-of-sight direction ( JP-A-6-261863), adjusting the illumination direction of the headlamps and the brightness of the meter display according to the driver's visual recognition behavior (JP-A-9-76815), or depending on the driver's line-of-sight direction It has been proposed to estimate the degree of concentration with respect to driving operations (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-211153).
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When a conventional route guidance device turns right or left at an intersection of a T-junction or a crossroad, the route to be traveled can be easily determined by a map and route guidance (route guidance) displayed on the display device.
However, in the case of complicated intersections, specifically, in the case of conventional route guidance (route guidance), such as when there are many intersections between five different roads, a short distance, or when the road shape is complicated, the driver However, there is a case where it is difficult to determine which branch road to travel at the intersection and to determine the original branch road to go.
In such a situation, there is a demand for a route guidance device (navigation device) that can reliably determine the branch road that the driver should travel without getting lost even at a complicated intersection.
[0005]
In order to develop a route guidance device that satisfies such demands, the present inventors apply the technology for detecting the driver's visual behavior (viewing direction and visual recognition object) described above to the route guidance device. Tried.
As described above, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and even if it is a complicated intersection or the like, the driver can surely travel on the branch road that the driver should travel without hesitation. It is an object to provide a route guidance device, a route guidance method, and a route guidance program.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a first invention of the present invention is a route guidance device for guiding a vehicle to a destination, to destination setting means for setting the destination, and to the set destination Visual action determination means for determining whether or not the driver's visual behavior for the route guidance of the driver is correct, and if the driver's visual behavior is correct, affirmative and if not correct, the driver is visually guided to guide the route. And a positive visual guidance means for guiding.
[0007]
A second invention of the present invention is a route guidance method for guiding a vehicle to a destination, wherein the destination setting is affirmed to set the destination, and the driver visually recognizes the route guidance to the set destination. A visual recognition behavior determining step for determining whether or not the behavior is correct; an affirmative visual guidance step for affirming if the visual behavior of the driver is correct and affirming and guiding the driver to guide the route if the behavior is not correct; It is characterized by having.
[0008]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a route guidance program for guiding a vehicle to a destination, wherein the destination is set, and whether the driver's visual recognition behavior for the route guidance to the set destination is correct. This is a route guidance program for determining whether or not, and affirming if the driver's visual behavior is correct and affirming the driver's visual behavior and controlling the computer to guide the driver by visually guiding the driver when the behavior is not correct.
[0009]
According to the first, second and third inventions of the present invention thus configured, it is determined whether or not the driver's visual recognition behavior with respect to the route guidance to the set destination is correct. Is affirming the driver's visual recognition behavior, so it gives the driver a sense of security and removes psychological anxiety, and the driver travels at a complicated intersection without any hesitation. be able to. Further, when the driver's visual recognition behavior is not correct, the driver is visually guided to guide the route, so that more effective route guidance can be performed.
[0010]
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (step) affirms when the driver visually recognizes the branched route that has been route-guided. When the route guidance route is not visually recognized, the driver's visual recognition is guided to the branch route on the basis of the visual object that the driver is currently viewing.
According to the present invention configured as described above, when the driver is visually recognizing the route for which the route is guided, an affirmative is made, so that the driver can travel reliably without hesitation on the route. can do. In addition, when the route guidance route is not visually recognized, the driver visually recognizes the branch route or the visual target object visually recognized by the driver. Effective visual guidance can be performed in time.
[0011]
In the first, second and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (step) is a distance where the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road to be routed is a predetermined distance or more. In some cases, an affirmative determination is made when the driver's visual recognition direction substantially matches the direction of the branch road, and when the driver's visual recognition direction does not match, the driver's visual recognition is guided in the direction of the branch road. According to the present invention configured as described above, when the distance from the position of the vehicle to the branch road to be routed is far, affirmative and visual guidance is performed based on the direction of the branch road. Therefore, simple and effective visual guidance is possible.
[0012]
In the first, second and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (step) is a distance where the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road to be routed is a predetermined distance or more. In some cases, if the driver's viewing direction is almost the same as the direction of the branch road, affirmative, if not, the driver is informed of the distance to the branch road and the driver's visibility in the direction of the branch road. Induce.
According to the present invention configured as described above, simple and effective visual guidance is possible, and further, the driver is informed of the distance to the branch path along with the direction of the branch path. It is possible to instantaneously have a direction and an image with respect to the road, and reliable guidance is possible.
[0013]
In the first, second and third aspects of the present invention described above, the positive visual guidance means (step) preferably performs positive and visual guidance by voice guidance.
According to the present invention configured as described above, since affirmative and visual guidance is provided by voice guidance, the driver does not need to look at the screen of the route guidance device and can drive while looking at the front and the periphery in the traveling direction. Safe and reliable route guidance is possible.
[0014]
In the first, second and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (step) is a driver according to the visual guidance level set according to the traveling state while the vehicle is traveling. Change the visual guidance content of.
According to the present invention configured as described above, since the traveling state and the contents of the visual guidance are associated with each other while the vehicle is traveling, the visual guidance according to the traveling state is possible, and safer driving can be performed at the time of route guidance. It becomes possible.
[0015]
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (step) selects a visual guidance object that is a reference for visual guidance of the driver according to the visual guidance level. change.
According to the present invention configured as described above, since the visual guidance target object is changed according to the traveling state, visual guidance according to the traveling state is possible, and safer driving is possible during route guidance. Become.
[0016]
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (step) first visually guides the direction of the branch road to be route-guided, and then to the driver. When the driver visually recognizes the branch road and visually recognizes the branch road, the determination is affirmed.
According to the present invention configured as described above, first, the direction of the branch road to be route-guided is visually guided, and then the branch path is visually guided to approach the branch road to be route-guided. Since the visual guidance is performed while changing the contents, the visual guidance can be performed reliably and accurately.
[0017]
In the first, second and third aspects of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (positive) first visually guides the direction of the branch road to be routed, and then the driver's direction. Visual recognition is guided to the branch road, and affirmative when the driver is viewing the branch road.
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (positive) determines whether or not the driver can visually recognize the branch road to be guided from the current position. And when it cannot visually recognize, a driver | operator's visual recognition is guide | induced to the direction of the branch road.
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (positive) determines whether or not the driver can visually recognize the branch road to be guided from the current position. If the driver cannot visually recognize the vehicle, the driver is informed of the distance to the branch road and the driver's visual recognition is guided in the direction of the branch road.
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, preferably, the positive visual guidance means (positive) determines whether or not the driver can visually recognize the branch road to be guided from the current position. When the driver cannot visually recognize the driver, the driver's line of sight is guided in the direction of the branch road, the branch road is notified in advance, and the driver's visual recognition is guided to the branch road at a position where the branch road is visible.
According to the present invention configured as described above, even when the driver cannot visually recognize the branch road to be guided from the current position, the driver can be made aware of the direction in which the branch road is located. Can be eliminated, and appropriate visual guidance according to the situation can be performed.
[0018]
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, the positive visual guidance means (process) is preferably visually recognized when the forward field of view is relatively poor as in the case of nighttime or rainy weather. Change the timing of guidance to be advanced.
According to the present invention configured as described above, the visual guidance can be performed more safely and reliably because the visual guidance timing is advanced when the forward field of view is relatively poor.
[0019]
In the first, second, and third inventions of the present invention described above, it is preferable that the visual guidance prohibiting means (positive) prohibits visual guidance when the driver is viewing outside the predetermined range. Have

Furthermore, as another method, when the driver does not visually recognize the branch road to be route-guided, the driver's visual recognition may be guided in the direction of the branch road to be route-guided.
[0029]
Here, visual guidance objects that are convenient for this visual guidance are as follows. First, when the branch road to be guided is relatively easy to recognize, such as at the intersection of a T-shaped road or a crossroad, 1) a traffic light, 2) a building (convenience store / gas station / Clock towers, conspicuous buildings such as bronze statues, etc.), 3) Vehicles ahead (large and conspicuous vehicles such as buses and trucks), 4) Signs / signboards (road signs, conspicuous signboards, etc.) In order, select (search) as a visual guidance target object. This is because it is easy for the driver to recognize the traffic light. Next, the building, the vehicle ahead, the sign / signboard are easy to recognize, and if there is no such visual guidance object, the guidance light is Select as.
[0030]
In addition, in the case of complicated intersections, specifically, in the case of five intersections, many intersections between short distances, complicated road shapes, etc. 1) Building (convenience store / gas station) / Conspicuous buildings such as clock towers and statues) 2) Vehicles ahead (large and conspicuous vehicles such as buses and trucks) 3) Signs / signboards (road signs, conspicuous signs etc.) 4) Guide light priority order Then, the visual guidance target object is selected. At a complicated intersection, etc., if the traffic light is set as a visually guided object, the driver is at a loss as to which branch to follow, so the most easily recognizable building is first used as the visually guided object. The vehicle is selected as a visual guidance object in the order of the vehicle ahead, the sign / signboard, and the guide light.

Here, as shown in FIG. 7 to FIG. 9, when visually inducing the driver, various information (map information, visual range, guidance route, visual object, etc.) for visual guidance on the display screen. However, when the driver looks at the display screen, the driver's line of sight is the display screen direction, so the driver needs to correctly recognize the screen display content for visual guidance. Therefore, the display screen is held for a predetermined time (several seconds).
In addition, when holding the display screen while visually guiding in this way for a predetermined time, if the driver looks away from the display screen once and looks at the display screen again, the driver Reverts to the previous display on the display and keeps it.
Thus, by holding the display on the display screen for a predetermined time, the driver can be visually guided more accurately, and the driver can identify the road to travel without hesitation.

Next, in the route guidance device of the present embodiment, the contents of the visual guidance are changed according to the travel state (vehicle speed, traffic volume, presence / absence of pedestrians, etc.) and the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road to be routed. ing. FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating an example of the present embodiment in which the contents of visual guidance are changed depending on the travel state and the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road to be routed. This will be described in detail below with reference to FIG.
[0042]
First, from the running state, the visual guidance level is set from
In the present embodiment, the contents of the visual guidance are changed according to the travel conditions (vehicle speed and traffic conditions around the vehicle) defined as the

Next, in the present embodiment, the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road (intersection) to be routed is divided into, for example, less than 700 m, 300 m, 100 m, 50 m, and 50 m, and the route guidance ( (Including visual guidance).
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10, according to the visual guidance level and the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road to be routed, the region (1) to the region (36) are divided. The content of guidance (including visual guidance) is changed.
[0044]
Hereinafter, the contents of route guidance (visual guidance) according to an example of this embodiment will be described in detail with reference to FIG. For example, when the distance from the vehicle position to the intersection (branch road) to be routed is 100 m or more and the visual guidance levels are 0 to 4 (

This is because visual guidance is not necessary or appropriate visual guidance is not possible.
Further, in a situation where the field of view is relatively poor, such as at night or in rainy weather, it is preferable to perform visual guidance early for the driver, so the visual guidance timing is shown in FIG. 10 described above. Need to be faster than. For example, in FIG. 10, it is preferable to change the distance of “50 m” which is the reference of the
[0054]
Next, the operation (route guidance method) by the route guidance device of this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. In FIG. 11, S indicates each step.
First, in S1, it is determined whether a visual guidance switch (not shown) is ON. If it is ON, the process proceeds to S2, and it is determined whether or not the destination has been set. If the destination has been set, the process proceeds to S3, the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road to be routed is calculated, and the traveling state (vehicle speed or the like) is further determined. Next, it progresses to S4 and it is determined whether it is within 100 m from the vehicle position to the branch road (intersection) which should carry out route guidance. If it is not within 100 m, there is a considerable distance to the branch road, so the process proceeds to S5 and normal route guidance (route guidance) is performed. At this time, visual guidance is not performed.
[0055]
In S4 and S5, instead of these contents, when the distance from the vehicle position to the branch road is 700 m, 300 m, or 100 m or more, as described above, visual guidance is performed in
[0056]
Next, it progresses to S6 and detects the vehicle position in that time, a driver | operator's visual recognition direction, and visual recognition object (a visual recognition range is included). Next, the process proceeds to S7, where vehicle front information (traffic volume, presence / absence of pedestrians, whether rain or night, etc.) is estimated by image recognition of the image taken by the
[0057]
Next, it progresses to S12 and the visual guidance level mentioned above (visual guidance level 0-4) is determined. Next, it progresses to S13 and it is determined whether it is a visual guidance timing. Here, as an example of the visual guidance timing, timing corresponding to each region shown in FIG. If it is not the visual guidance timing, the process returns to S6. In the case of the visual guidance timing, the process proceeds to S14, and visual guidance according to the visual guidance level (
