上述の如き従来の問題を解決し、所期の目的を達成するための本発明に係るシート状物の水中設置方法の特徴は、水底面等の水中に設置しようとするシート状物に、内部に注水することによって所定形状に膨張して保形性が発現される1若しくは複数の注水バッグを取り外し可能に固定しておき、該注水バッグに注水しない状態で水中を沈降させて水底の敷設位置近くまで降下させた後、前記注水バッグ内に注水して該注水バッグを膨張させることにより前記シート状物を所定の形状に拡開させ、然る後、前記注水バッグをシート状物から取り外し、該シート状物を水底面上に拡開させた状態で残して注水バッグを回収す ことにある。
