本発明は、帯状の未加硫ゴムからなる帯状ゴムシート材料を繋ぐ帯状ゴムシート材料接続装置に関し、更に詳しくは、離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料相互の接続を自動的に行うことができるようにした帯状ゴムシート材料接続装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、例えば、タイヤの製造におけるスチールベルトのエッジ部の保護に用いられる帯状の未加硫ゴムからなる帯状ゴムシート材料は、一般に離型シートが一方の面に貼着された状態で、20〜30mm程度の所定幅に分割され、ロールに巻き取られてストックされる。そして、使用される際には、この巻き取りロールから引き出されるようになっている。

上記のような離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料は、ロールに巻き取られる場合、一般的に約300m程度が限度である一方、使用時にはロールから40〜50m/分の搬出速度で引き出されるため、約6分間隔で帯状ゴムシート材料を次のロールの帯状ゴムシート材料に繋ぐ作業が必要である。
しかし、上述した離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料は、離型シートと帯状ゴムシート材料との2つをそれぞれ接続しなければならないため、繋ぎ合わせを自動化することが困難で、人手に頼らざるを得ないという問題があった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明の目的は、離型シートが付いた帯状ゴムシート材料相互を自動的に接続することが可能な帯状ゴムシート材料接続装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成する本発明は、離型シートを上側にして搬送される離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の後端部に、巻き取りロールから離型シートを上側にして引き出された離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の先端部を接続する帯状ゴムシート材料接続装置であって、前記離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の搬送方向と直交する方向に移動可能な移動手段を設け、この移動手段に立設された支持部材に、前記離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料を巻き取った巻き取りロールをそれぞれ回転自在に支持する複数のロール支持部を有するロール支持手段と、このロール支持手段のロール支持部に支持された各ロールから引き出された離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の先端部をそれぞれ載置する複数の先端載置部を有する先端載置手段とを設け、この先端載置手段の離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料搬送方向に隣接して、離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料を搬送する搬送路を有する搬送手段を設けると共に、前記先端載置手段の近傍に、搬送される離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の後端を検出し、その後端位置を設定された所定の場所に位置決めする後端位置検出手段を配置し、前記先端載置手段と前記搬送手段との間に、搬送が停止された離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の後端部を上方に持ち上げ可能なリフト手段を設け、前記先端載置手段の上方に離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料を押圧して接合する押圧接合手段を昇降、かつ離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料の搬送方向に沿って往復移動可能に配設し、前記先端載置手段の先端載置部、離型シート先端部を剥離した帯状ゴムシート材料の先端部を載置する帯状ゴムシート材料載置部と、剥離された前記離型シート先端部を載置する離型シート載置部とを有し、該離型シート載置部が前記押圧接合手段の押圧作動時に離型シートの載置を解除する構成であることを特徴とする。

【作用】

図1は本発明の帯状ゴムシート材料接続装置の一例を示し、この装置は、帯状の未加硫ゴムからなる帯状ゴムシート材料nの一方の面に離型シートmを貼着し、その離型シートmを上側にして搬送される離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料S(図5)の搬送方向Aと直交する方向に移動可能な移動手段10と、この移動手段10上に立設された支持部材30と、この支持部材30に設けられ、離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料Sを巻き取った巻き取りロールRを支持するロール支持手段40、及びこのロール支持手段40に支持されたロールRから引き出された離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料Sの先端部を載置する先端載置手段60と、この先端載置手段60の帯状ゴムシート材料搬送方向Aに隣接して設けられ、離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料Sを搬送するための搬送手段90と、先端載置手段60の近傍に配置され、搬送される離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料Sの後端を検出し、その後端位置を設定された所定の場所に位置決めするための後端位置検出手段100と、先端載置手段60と搬送手段90との間に設けられ、搬送が停止された離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料Sの後端部を上方に持ち上げ可能なリフト手段120と、先端載置手段60の上方に配設され、重ね合わされた離型シート付き帯状ゴムシート材料S相互を押圧して接合する押圧接合手段150とを有する構成になっている。
