Description
【0001】
21はゲームの進行中にBGMを演奏するためのBGMデータであって、たとえばMIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface)のデータから構成される。
PortA=open(13,1) (1)
PortB=open( 3,0) (2)
【0021】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is for controlling the pronunciation of a plurality of sounds such as BGM (Back Ground Music) and sound effects in a game machine. To sound control device It is related.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, game machines output BGM and sound effects while a game is in progress. BGM is output almost continuously from the start to the end of the game, and sound effects are output in predetermined cases according to button operations and screen conditions. For example, when a bullet is fired at the target or when a bullet hits the target, a sound effect corresponding to the spot is output. In order to generate such BGM and sound effects, the game machine has a built-in sound source in which a plurality of voices (sound data) is stored, and each voice is assigned as BGM or sound effects according to a sound generation command.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the number of voices stored in the sound source is limited, voices exceeding that number cannot be pronounced simultaneously. For example, when the total number of voices of the sound source is 16, if 13 voices are being sounded as BGM and 3 voices are being sounded as sound effects, all voices are being used. Even if a new sound generation command is generated, 17 sounds cannot be generated simultaneously. In this case, ignoring the newly generated sound generation command, if the sound generation command is a sound effect sound generation command, even if the button is operated, no sound effect such as a bullet firing sound will sound. This leads to undesirable results when considering the function.
[0004]
Therefore, in order to avoid this, it is necessary to delete one of the voices being pronounced and assign it as a new sound effect voice. The present invention is an invention relating to a sound assignment method in such a case, and a necessary sound is not lost while the game is in progress, and a sufficient number of necessary sounds can be generated simultaneously. Pronunciation control device It is to provide.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problem, the present invention provides a plurality of voices that are in use. Sound effect When receiving a pronunciation command for BGM The selected voice is muted from the voices used as BGM Voice Sound effect Assign as voice , Make a sound effect with this assigned BGM voice It is what I did.
[0006]
By doing this, even when all voices are in use, a new pronunciation command was received. Sound effect Can be assigned at any time Sound effect Can be generated and required Sound effect It can be avoided that the function of the game machine is impaired due to lack of. Also received a pronunciation command Sound effect Voice of BGM Voice of Than By assigning priority, it is necessary Sound effect Can be generated at the same time.
[0007]
In the pronunciation control device of the present invention, Assign whether the voice of the sound source is used for BGM or sound effect A pronunciation controller is provided. In addition, a sound source management table that records information indicating whether each voice is in use and for which of a plurality of sounds it is used Provided, The pronunciation controller refers to this sound source management table and assigns voices. You may do . BGM There are several ways to mute the voice being used as. For example, it is possible to mute the voice that was sounded first (late arrival priority), or to mute the voice that was sounded first for a voice other than a specific voice with a high priority. For this reason, the pronunciation history table for managing the order of pronunciation of each voice Provided, The pronunciation controller determines the voice to be muted by referring to the table You may do . As another method, the voice with the lowest output level among the used voices may be muted.
[0008]
When the number of voices to be used as sound effects is predetermined (for example, 3 sounds), the number of voices being used as sound effects does not reach the number of voices, and all of the voices of the sound source (for example, 16 sounds) are used. ) Is in use, mute the voice in use on the BGM, BGM Assign voice as sound effect voice Pronounce . On the other hand, if the number of voices being used as sound effects reaches the number of voices, the sound effect sound sounded first is muted and the muted voice is assigned as a new sound effect sound. Pronounce . In this case, the earliest sound effect disappears, but there is no problem because the sound effects of the maximum number of voices (three sounds) are maintained. Also, if the number of voices in use as sound effects does not reach the number of voices and there are unused voices in the sound source, those unused voices are assigned as sound effects. Pronounce Just do it.

“13” in parentheses in the above (1) represents the number of voices to be secured, and as described in FIG. 4, 13 voices are secured at the A port. Also, “1” permits the use of a voice that is not used as a sound effect when a new BGM pronunciation command is received while all 13 voices are used as a BGM. Flag. Therefore, if a sound generation command exceeding 13 sounds is received at the A port, 14 sounds or more may be sounded simultaneously.

Similarly, “3” in parentheses in (2) represents the number of voices to be secured, and 3 voices are secured at the B port as described in FIG. “0” means that if all three voices are used as sound effects and a new sound effect command is issued, even if there is a voice that is not used as BGM, that voice will be used. This flag is prohibited. Therefore, even if a sound generation command exceeding 3 sounds comes to the B port, 4 sounds or more are not sounded simultaneously.

[0030]
Next, the processing procedure when a sound effect sound generation command is received at port B will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. First, it is determined whether there are three voices in use at port B (step S41). If there are three voices in use (step S41; YES), the oldest voice among the three voices, that is, the earliest voice is muted (step S42), and the voice is commanded to be generated this time. Is assigned as a sound effect voice, and sound generation processing is performed (step S43). Next, when the number of voices in use at port B is two or less (step S41; NO), it is determined whether or not all 16 voices are in use (step S45). If all 16 voices are in use (step S45; YES), the voices in use at port A are muted to generate a sound effect by a new pronunciation command. Any voice may be muted at this time, but here, the oldest voice, that is, the voice that was sounded first, is muted (step S46), and the voice is assigned as the voice for the sound effect for the current voice command, and the voice generation process is performed. Is performed (step S47). Thereafter, the sound source management table 30, the sound generation history table 41 of port A and the sound generation history table 42 of port B are updated (step S48), and the process returns to step S21.

A series of procedures from step S46 to step S48 through steps S41 and S45 is a part that characterizes the present invention. In this way, even when all 16 voices are in use, a sound effect can be assigned when a new pronunciation command is received. In addition, three sound effects can be generated simultaneously, and a maximum number of sound effects (three voices in this case) can be generated.
[0035]
Next, if there are 16 voices that are not in use (step S45; NO), it is determined whether there are any unused voices in the B area 35 (step S49). If there is an unused voice in the B area 35 (step S49; YES), this is assigned as a voice for a sound effect for the current sound generation command, and sound generation processing is performed with that voice (step S50). Thereafter, the sound source management table 30 and the sound generation history table 42 of the port B are updated (step S51), and the process returns to step S21.

[0041]
Further, in the above embodiment, the conditions as described in (1) and (2) above are set as the conditions for opening the port A and the port B. However, this is also an example, and the present invention satisfies this condition. It is not limited. For example, in the condition (1) for port A, the flag is set to “1”, but it can be freely set to “0”. In this case, when all BGM voices are used and a new pronunciation command is received at port A, even if there are voices that are not used as sound effects, the use of those voices is prohibited. . Further, although the flag is set to “0” in the condition (2) of the port B, it can be freely set to “1”. In this case, when a new sounding command is received at port B in a state where all the sound effects are used, if there is a voice that is not used as BGM, the use of that voice is permitted. Further, both the port A and the port B may set the flag to “0”, or both the port A and the port B may set the flag to “1”.
[0042]
In the above embodiment, when the voice is muted, the earliest (oldest) voice is muted according to the priority of the last arrival. Instead of this, the output level of the voice that is sounding is the highest. A low voice may be muted. The output level of the voice can be detected by the
[0043]
In the above embodiment, when the voice is muted, the sound generation order is managed independently in the A area and the B area. The order may be managed. In this case, the sound generation management table 30 may be used as the sound generation history table by assigning the order of sound generation for each voice.
[0044]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, even when all voices are in use, a pronunciation command is received. Sound effect Can be assigned and pronounced, so it is necessary during the game Sound effect Missing and the required number of Sound effect Can be generated at the same time.
