Description
【0001】

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire having an asymmetric directional block pattern, and more particularly, to improving both drainability on a wet road surface and steering stability on a dry road surface in an asymmetric directional block pattern. The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a pneumatic radial tire of a passenger car, as a general method for improving drainage on a wet road surface, there is a method of increasing a groove area by increasing a groove width of a main groove or a lug groove extending in a circumferential direction. However, if the groove area is simply increased, the steering stability on a dry road surface is reduced due to a decrease in block rigidity, and noise performance is also deteriorated.
[0003]
Therefore, as a countermeasure, there is a proposal to use a directional block pattern. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, a plurality of linear
[0004]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-52507 proposes an asymmetric block pattern in which at least one main groove extending in the tire circumferential direction is arranged.
However, in recent years, demands for safety and environmental issues are becoming more severe, and simply using a symmetrical or asymmetrical block pattern as described above can reduce drainage on wet roads and steering stability on dry roads. There is a problem that it is difficult to make further improvements that satisfy both requirements.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic radial tire having a block pattern in an asymmetrical direction and capable of further improving both drainability on a wet road surface and steering stability on a dry road surface. It is in.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The pneumatic radial tire of the present invention that achieves the above object has a groove width extending straight in a tire circumferential direction on a tread surface in which a tire rotation direction is specified in one direction, in a region outside the tire from a tire center line when the vehicle is mounted, and in a tire circumferential direction. The two main grooves are different from each other, and the quasi-main grooves that are inclined in the same direction with respect to the tire circumferential direction and communicate with a large number of lug grooves disposed outside the tire than the two main grooves are formed in the main grooves. The sub-grooves are arranged at a predetermined pitch without communicating with each other, and a number of sub-grooves that are inclined in the same direction with respect to the tire circumferential direction and extend in the tire width direction from the main groove near the center line are arranged in the tire inner region, A quasi-main groove that is inclined in the same direction as the sub-groove and intersects with the sub-groove is arranged at a predetermined pitch to form a block pattern having an asymmetrical direction, and a total groove width of the two main grooves A Against head contact width W, 0.12 W / 2 is set to ≦ A ≦ 0.20W / 2, and the groove width A 2 of the main groove towards narrow groove width of the wide end of the groove width main groove of against the groove width a 1, characterized in that the a 1/4 ≦ a 2 ≦ a 1/2.
[0007]
In the pneumatic radial tire having the asymmetrical block pattern as described above, two tire circumferential straight main grooves having different groove widths are provided in the tire outer region when the tire is mounted, and the groove widths of the main grooves are reduced. On the other hand, while being set as described above, the quasi-main grooves communicating with the lug grooves outside the two main grooves and not communicating with the outer main grooves are arranged obliquely and in the tire inner region in the same direction as the sub-grooves. By providing the quasi-main groove inclined to the sub-groove so as to secure a main groove in the tire circumferential direction having an effective groove width required for drainage in the tire outer region where the contact length is the longest at the time of cornering, Furthermore, since the ground contact start side of the block is formed at an acute angle, an edge effect of cutting off a water film can be obtained, so that drainage on a wet road surface can be further improved.
[0008]
Further, ribs are formed on both sides of the outer main groove in the tire outer region, and the rigidity of the block defined by the quasi-main groove, the sub-groove, and the lug groove is increased as much as possible against centrifugal force during turning. Therefore, the steering stability on dry roads can be improved.
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0009]
FIG. 1 shows an example of a block pattern of the pneumatic radial tire of the present invention. In the figure, the tire is instructed to rotate in the direction of arrow R, and when mounted on the vehicle, the tread surface P is a tire inner region I on the left side from the tire center line CL and a tire outer region O on the right side.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire having an asymmetric block pattern, in which a tire-shaped straight main groove having a different groove width is formed in the tire outer region when the tire is mounted, as described above. In addition to the two main grooves, a quasi-main groove communicating with the lug groove and not connecting to the main groove is provided on the tire outer side of the two main grooves at an angle, and is provided in the tire inner region in the same direction as the sub groove. By arranging the inclined quasi-main grooves so as to intersect with the sub-grooves, it is possible to enhance both drainage on a wet road surface and steering stability on a dry road surface.
