Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 技術分野 本発明は手で持ち運ぶのに便利なカートンに係わり、
特に各側壁の上縁近傍および各端壁の上縁近傍に折目線
を有するとともに、それら折目線と頂壁の各角部にある
斜めの裂断線とを相互に結ぶ第二の裂断線を有するカー
トンに関するものである。
背景技術 1994年５月３日発行の米国特許第5,307,932号には頂
壁に特殊な折目線を有する高強度カートンが開示されて
いる。折目線はカートンにかかる負荷を分散させるため
に設けられたものであり、このような特殊な折目線によ
り、高強度カートン用の通常の板紙より薄い厚さの板紙
を使用することが可能になる。
発明の開示 本発明は、中に缶を水平に収容するタイプのカートン
であって、持ち運びの際にかかる負荷を分散させるため
の特殊な構成を有する高強度カートンを提供する。負荷
が分散させられるので、高強度カートン用の通常の板紙
より厚さの薄い板紙を使用することができる。本発明の
カートンは、底壁と、頂壁と、側壁と、端壁とを有す
る。各側壁および各端壁の上縁近傍には水平な折目線が
形成される。これら各折目線の両端は裂断線を介して頂
壁の各角部にある斜めの折目線に連結される。
図面の簡単な説明 第１図は本発明のカートンのブランクを内面側から観
たときの平面図、第２図および第３図は第１図のカート
ンブランクを折り曲げてカートンを形成していく過程で
ブランクの各部分がどのような位置をとるかをを示す平
面図、第４図は完成状態のカートンを示す斜視図、第５
図はカートン内に水平に収容された缶を示す完成状態の
カートンの側面図である。
発明を実施するための最良の形態 第１図において、符号１はカートンの底壁、符号２お
よび符号３は各々折目線４、５を介して底壁１の両端に
折り曲げ自在に連結された底端フラップを示す。側壁６
は折目線７を介して底壁１に折り曲げ自在に連結されて
いる。端壁パネル８は折目線９を介して側壁６に折り曲
げ自在に連結され、また、端壁パネル10は折目線11を介
して側壁６に折り曲げ自在に連結されている。底壁１の
反対側には、折目線13を介して側壁12が折り曲げ自在に
連結されている。側壁12には折目線15を介して端壁パネ
ル14が折り曲げ自在に連結され、また折目線17を介して
端壁パネル16が折り曲げ自在に連結されている。
カートンの頂壁は符号18、19で示される二枚のパネル
からなる複合構造を有する。パネル18にはハンドル孔20
が形成され、またパネル19にはハンドル孔21が形成され
ている。パネル18には折目線23を介して頂端フラップ22
が折り曲げ自在に連結され、またパネル19には折目線25
を介して同様な頂端フラップ24が折り曲げ自在に連結さ
れている。パネル18の反対側の端部には折目線27を介し
て頂端フラップ26が折り曲げ自在に連結され、パネル19
にも折目線29を介して同様な頂端フラップ28が折り曲げ
自在に連結されている。
頂壁の四つの角部には各々斜めの裂断線30、31、32、
33が形成されている。
パネル18の一端部には折目線35、36、37が設けられ、
他端部には折目線38、39、40が設けられている。パネル
19にも同様な折目線41、42、43および折目線44、45、46
が設けられている。
第１図のブランクからカートンを組み立てるには、側
壁12およびその端壁パネル14、16ならびにパネル19およ
びその頂端フラップ24、28を折目線13に沿って左方へ折
り曲げ、第２図に示す状態とする。
次いで、パネル18およびその頂端フラップ22、26を折
目線50に沿って右方へ折り曲げ、第３図に示す状態とす
る。
折目線52に沿って設けられているのはクッションフラ
ップ51である。
第３図に示す平らなカートンを第４図のように立体化
するには、底壁を固定した状態で底端フラップ２、３を
上方へ折り曲げるとともに、頂壁の頂端フラップ22、2
6、24、28を下方へ折り曲げる。しかる後に、端壁パネ
ル８、10、14、16を内方へ折り曲げ、周知のように適当
に接着剤を塗布して第４図に示す位置に頂壁を保持す
る。
第４図に最も良く示されるように、側壁12には折目線
55が設けられている。折目線55はその両端が裂断線57、
56につながっている。これら裂断線57、56は各々頂壁に
ある斜めの裂断線31、33につながっている。頂端フラッ
プ26、28には折目線60が設けられている。折目線60の両
端は裂断線61につながり、これら裂断線61は頂壁にある
斜めの裂断線32、33につながっている。第２図および第
３図からわかるように、折目線60およびこれと協同する
裂断線は頂端フラップ22、24にも設けられている。ま
た、折目線55およびこれと協同する裂断線は側壁６にも
設けられている。
各側壁６、12の上縁近傍に折目線55が設けられ、これ
ら折目線55の両端が裂断線56、57を介して斜めの頂壁裂
断線30、31、32、33に連結されているので、第５図に示
されるように、カートンの両側壁上縁の折目線（例えば
折目線70）が、カートン内に水平状態にかつ互いに平行
に並べられた缶（例えば缶C1、C2、C3、C4）の端縁部に
対して接線の位置にくるように配される。このような構
成は、頂壁にあるハンドル（一対のハンドル孔の間の部
分）に作用する応力を低減させるのに非常に有効であ
る。また、カートンの各端部の頂壁近傍に折目線60が設
けられ、これら折目線60の両端が裂断線61を介してその
近傍の頂壁裂断線30、31、32、33に連結されている構成
も、カートン内の缶との相互作用によりハンドルに作用
する応力を著しく減少させる。
本発明によれば、カートンに作用する応力が著しく減
少するので、中に缶を水平に収容するタイプの高強度カ
ートンに使用される板紙の厚さをかなり薄くすることが
できる。従って、本発明によれば、包装品の強度を損な
わずに板紙の費用を節約することができる。

Claims (4)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】複数の物品を包装するカートンにおいて、
    対向する一対の側縁および対向する一対の端縁を有する
    底壁と、この底壁の各端縁に折り曲げ自在に連結された
    底端フラップと、前記底壁の側縁に下縁が折り曲げ自在
    に連結された一対の側壁と、各側壁の各端縁に折り曲げ
    自在に連結された端壁パネルと、前記両側壁の上縁に両
    側縁が折り曲げ自在に連結された頂壁と、この頂壁の各
    端縁に折り曲げ自在に連結されるとともにその近傍の端
    壁パネルに接着された頂端フラップと、前記頂壁に形成
    されたハンドル孔と、頂壁の各角部に斜めにまたがるよ
    うに頂壁に形成された頂壁裂断線と、各頂端フラップの
    頂壁近傍に形成された折目線と、各頂端フラップに設け
    られるとともに前記各折目線の一端から頂壁の端縁まで
    伸びてその近傍の頂壁裂断線と交差する端フラップ裂断
    線とを有するカートン。
  2. 【請求項２】複数の物品を包装するカートンにおいて、
    対向する一対の側縁および対向する一対の端縁を有する
    底壁と、この底壁の各端縁に折り曲げ自在に連結された
    底端フラップと、前記底壁の側縁に下縁が折り曲げ自在
    に連結された一対の側壁と、各側壁の各端縁に折り曲げ
    自在に連結された端壁パネルと、前記両側壁の上縁に両
    側縁が折り曲げ自在に連結された頂壁と、この頂壁の各
    端縁に折り曲げ自在に連結されるとともにその近傍の端
    壁パネルに接着された頂端フラップと、前記頂壁に形成
    されたハンドル孔と、頂壁の各角部に形成された斜めの
    頂壁裂断線と、各頂端フラップの頂壁近傍に形成された
    フラップ折目線と、各頂端フラップに設けられるととも
    に前記各フラップ折目線の一端から頂壁の端縁まで伸び
    てその近傍の頂壁裂断線と交差するフラップ裂断線と、
    各側壁の上縁近傍に形成された側壁折目線と、各側壁に
    設けられるとともに前記各側壁折目線の一端から伸びて
    その近傍の頂壁裂断線と交差する側壁裂断線とを有する
    カートン。
  3. 【請求項３】各側壁折目線はこれが設けられた側壁の上
    縁と平行である請求項２記載のカートン。
  4. 【請求項４】複数の物品を包装するカートンにおいて、
    対向する一対の側縁および対向する一対の端縁を有する
    底壁と、この底壁の各端縁に折り曲げ自在に連結された
    底端フラップと、前記底壁の側縁に下縁が折り曲げ自在
    に連結された一対の側壁と、各側壁の各端縁に折り曲げ
    自在に連結された端壁パネルと、前記両側壁の上縁に両
    側縁が折り曲げ自在に連結された頂壁と、この頂壁の各
    端縁に折り曲げ自在に連結されるとともにその近傍の端
    壁パネルに接着された頂端フラップと、前記頂壁に形成
    された一対のハンドル孔と、頂壁の各角部に形成された
    斜めの頂壁裂断線と、各側壁の上縁近傍に形成された側
    壁折目線と、この側壁折目線の両端に連結されるととも
    のその側壁折目線をその近傍の頂壁裂断線に連結する側
    壁裂断線と、各頂端フラップの頂壁近傍に形成されたフ
    ラップ折目線とを有し、各フラップ折目線はその近傍の
    頂壁の端縁およびその近傍の頂壁裂断線の一端に連結さ
    れているカートン。
