ープン式発酵槽の長さ方向に沿い往復動走行自在に設け
ると共に該オープン式発酵槽に対し、該長尺開放側面を
介してその長さ方向の所望の個所から被処理物の投入堆
積と発酵済みの堆肥の取り出しを行うようにして成るオ
ープン式発酵装置を構成したので、発酵処理すべき有機
質廃物を、その長尺開放側面を介して前記の撹拌機を具
備した台車が位置しない、その長さ方向におけるどの位
置からでも該オープン式発酵槽内に投入でき、従来のピ
ット式発酵槽の場合のようなピットの一端に有機質廃物
を順次投入するに当たり、その都度、台車を往復動さ
せ、その撹拌機によりピットの一端に先に投入堆積され
ているの堆積物をピットの奥の方へ移動させて、その一
端を空にしなければならないという投入作業における煩
わしさと非能率をもたらし、更には、大きな消費電力を
要するなどの不都合を解消し得られる。また、投入され
る被処理物は、該長尺壁の内面で受け止められ、所望の
高さまで堆積することができる。また、長さ方向に堆積
した発酵中の有機質廃物から成る堆積物のどこからでも
その必要な個所に水分調整材を長尺開放側面を介して直
ちに投入でき、その所望の個所の水分調整を行うことが
できる。また、台車の往復動に伴いロータリー式撹拌機
に具備した台車の幅方向に配設した多数本のパドルの
正,逆回転で堆積物をその全幅に亘り一挙に高能率に往
復動撹拌を行うことができると共に、その往復動撹拌後
の堆積物の位置は、元の投入位置に位置するので、発酵
終了後の堆肥は、その投入位置と同じ場所から該長尺開
放側面を介して取り出すことができ、その取り出した跡
の空所に新たな被処理物を直ちに投入できる便利をもた
らす。更にまた、オープン式発酵槽は、従来のピット式
発酵槽に比し、構築が容易且つ安価にできる。また、本
