Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce compost of low water content, by, in an apparatus described in the title which uses stirring scoops, making the stirring scoops travel in a fermenting tank endlessly while the scoops traversing in the lateral direction of the fermenting tank so as to ferment org. waste aerobically.
CONSTITUTION: Wheels 4 on the floor revolves by a motor placed on a movable truck 3, so that the truck 3 and a horizontal frame 6 advance in the direction of an arrow A in one united body. While the truck 3 travels along the outer wall 1, a freely movable wheel 11 supporting the inner end of the frame 6 shuttles along the rail 2b installed on a partition wall 2 so as to make the frame 6 revolve in the direction of the arrow A. By a motor 15 mounted on the frame 6, an endless chain 14 provided along a rear frame 6d revolves in a constant direction, and a traversing truck 19 shunts on the frame 6 between the outer wall 1 and the partition wall 2. By a motor 34 installed on the truck 19, stirring scoops 22 are made to revolve in the direction of an arrow C, so that buckets 30 dip up the compost in front of the buckets, and convey it to upward back, throwing down to a chute 36.
