Description
接続に使用するものであるが、特にオイルとガスの実地
調査/抽出産業での縦穴の用途に活用されるような拡張
可能なスロット加工をしたチュービング(EST)ストリ
ングの領域の接続に専用的には用いないコネクタアセン
ブリに関する。
は各種の縦穴の用途に用いられる。チュービングは多数
の長手スロットを形成すべく機械加工したそれぞれ一定
長さのチューブからなる。従って、チュービング内に例
えばマンドレルを通すことによってチューブを半径外側
方向に拡張させることは比較的容易である。拡張でスロ
ットは広がり、ダイヤモンド形状のアパーチャを形成す
る。チュービングは孔の直径を更に縮小することなく絞
り部より下方の孔に、例えばライニングを施す必要のあ
る場合に有効である。従来のチュービングを採用する
と、絞り部にチュービングを通し得るようにする必要か
ら、チュービングの外径は絞り部よりも小さな直径にせ
ねばならない。この孔直径の縮小には、主として孔の生
産能力の低減に関し幾つかの重要な効果がある。ESTを
使用すると、チュービングは絞り部から、絞り部下方の
孔の広げられた部分の内部に通すことができる。次い
で、チュービングは絞り部より大きな直径まで拡張する
ことができる。

供給される。これは比較的時間がかかり、コストが高い
ものになり、かつ、多くの状況にあって、例えば悪天候
中の沖合操業にあたっては、一貫した溶接品質を維持す
ることが困難なことがある。高温と露出した炎または溶
接工程で生じるスパークのため安全上の問題も発生する
ことがある。更に、ESTストリングを形成する溶接した
様々な長さのチュービングの分離を必要とする「誤って
行った(ミスラン)」の場合、チュービングは切断せね
ばならず、切断したチュービングは再使用ができない。

ービングストリングの領域を相互接続するためのコネク
タアセンブリが提供され、該アセンブリは各チュービン
グ領域の端部と共に一体に形成される雄部品と雌部品と
からなり、各部品はそれぞれスロット加工され、チュー
ビングストリングに対応するように結合された部品の拡
張を可能にするため他の部品に同軸的に係合され、雄部
品と雌部品は円周方向に間隔をあけた一連の機械的ファ
スナによって相互に接続ができる。

の端部によって形成され、雌部品は同様な距離に亘り内
面を機械加工され、相互接続したチュービング領域の内
の他の一つ端部に形成される。
部品の別端に形成された環状の溝の内部に嵌り、その部
品が互いに同軸係合すれば、前記自由端が前記溝の内側
で半径方向にロックされ、チュービングストリングを拡
張させるとき、前記自由端のフレアリングが防止される
ことが好ましい。

分離できるよう、ファスナは締め付け解除ができるもの
で、部品に設けた適切な穴に配される例えば短いネジに
することができる。ネジ等と関連するネジ穴の使用によ
って部品の適切な整列を確実にする便利な手段が提供さ
れる。
貫通させてあけた放射状の穴に通す短いネジで構成し、
各ネジの頭は雌部品の外面に形成した凹部内に沈ませ、
各ネジの軸部は雄部品を貫通する放射状の穴に形成され
るネジ山に係合することが好ましい。

うに拡張させることを意図され、同じ様な長手方向スロ
ット26が用意されている。

に説明するように、雄部分28を受けるために縮小し、か
つ拡大される内径を備えた対応する雌部分30を規定す
る。各部品22、24の各々は対応する形状をした他の部品
の自由端36、37に係合するためのアンダーカット棚部3
4、35の形をした各環状溝を規定する。これは部品の内
の一方の自由端がチュービングの拡張時に他の部品から
分離することを防止する。

43は皿もみ加工をし、しかるに雄部品22の穴42は若干数
の短いネジ44を用い、指部40、41が相互に固定ができる
ようネジ加工される。

合し、それにより雄部品の自由端36は雌部品の自由端37
の内側に入る。次いで、ネジ44を穴42、43に固定する。

Claims (6)
- 【請求項1】拡張可能なスロット加工をしたチュービン
グストリングの領域を相互接続するためのコネクタアセ
ンブリであって、該アセンブリは、各チュービング領域
の端部と共に一体に成形される雄部品と雌部品とからな
り、各部品はスロット加工され、チュービングストリン
グに対応するように結合された部品を拡張させ得るよう
他部品に同軸的に係合され、雄部品と雌部品は円周方向
に間隔をあけた一連の機械的ファスナによって相互に接
続ができるコネクタアセンブリ。 - 【請求項2】選択された距離に亘り外面を機械加工し、
相互に接続されるチュービング領域の一方の端部に雄部
品を形成し、同様な距離に亘り内面を機械加工し、相互
に接続されるチュービング領域の他の一方の端部に雌部
品を形成する請求の範囲第1項に記載のコネクタアセン
ブリ。 - 【請求項3】雄部品と雌部品の自由端が対応する部品の
別端に形成した環状溝内に嵌り、それにより部品が互い
に同軸的に係合すれば前記自由端が前記溝の内側に於い
て半径方向にロックされ、チュービングストリングを拡
張させたときに前記自由端のフレアリングが防止される
請求の範囲第2項に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。 - 【請求項4】機械的ファスナは雄部品と雌部品の壁部を
貫通するあけられた放射状の穴に通す短いネジからな
り、各ネジの頭は雌部品の外面に形成した凹部内に沈ま
せ、各ネジの軸部は雄部品の内部を貫通する放射状の穴
に形成したネジ山に係合する請求の範囲第1項、第2項
または第3項に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。 - 【請求項5】各ファスナは結節部の実質的な中間であり
一組の隣り合うスロット間の中程に配された請求の範囲
第1項に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。 - 【請求項6】コネクタの雄部品と雌部品のスロットの少
なくとも若干数は実質的に一線に配される、請求の範囲
第1項から第5項のいずれか一項に記載のコネクタアセ
ンブリ。
