く、次回摘採時の病害発生、品質低下を招き、海苔網を
切り刃に接近させることが困難なため収量が減少すると
いう問題がある。また、病害の発生段階では短く摘み採
ることができず、終漁期に摘み機本体を構成する部材で
ある定規またはカバーを外して行うハタキ作業ができな

記載の海苔摘み機においては、テンガイの数を減らした
ことにより病害の発生をある程度防ぐことができるよう
になった。しかし、作業船の移動が人力に頼っていたと
きは、多少のむら摘みも海苔網を人力で引っ張って揺す
るように作業することにより摘み残しのないように作業
することができていたが、作業船の移動が動力推進に変
わって摘採速度が倍加されたことにより、テンガイ部の
摘み残しが発生し、またテンガイを受け支えるパイプ状
補強材に摘採した海苔が巻き付くように積層状に溜ま
り、摘採の障害になっていた。 【0006】前述のように、ロータリーカッター外周に
設けた丸棒リングによりテンガイの数を減らすことは可
能ではあるが、丸棒リング自体に摘採された海苔が巻き
付いて刃詰まりが発生する。摘採のスピードアップに比
例して、刃詰まりからロータリーカッター全体に海苔が
巻き付くことが多くなり、また刃詰まりの海苔は外しに
くく、作業能率低下はもとより摘採不能になる要因とな
る。 【0007】 【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は上記の問題を解
決するものであり、海苔摘み用作業船に載置され、摘み
機本体の両側板に回転可能なロータリーカッターを軸承
した海苔摘み機であって、前記ロータリーカッターのパ
イプ状軸心部材に複数個の回転円板を連通して小間隔に
配設し、同回転円板の外周部は内側に折り曲げて外周端
に丸みを形成し、摘み刃をその先端部を前記回転円板の
外周端より僅かに内側に潜入させて回転円板に支持して
ロータリーカッターを構成するとともに、前記摘み機本
体の前方にアーチ構造の網受けパイプを設置したことを

くなり、摘採作業がスムーズになる。また、テンガイが
無いことにより、海苔網の巻き込みや海苔葉体の切り残
しを防ぐことができる。 【0010】ロータリーカッターを構成する回転円板を
小間隔に配設し、かつ外周部を内側に折り曲げて外周端
に丸みを形成しているので、回転円板の外周部に海苔網
が接触しても回転円板の回転力によって海苔網を跳ね上
げる作用があり、海苔網の巻き込みが防止される。ま
た、摘み刃の背面は海苔葉体の放出を促進する放射状構
成になり、一方摘み刃の内面側は回転により摘み刃で仕
切られた後部仕切り部に圧力風を送り込む作用があり、
海苔の刃詰まりを防ぐ。さらに、摘み刃の先端部を回転
円板の外周端より僅かに内側に位置させたことにより、
