A preferred embodiment of the cooking pot according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The basic components of the cooking pot are the pot body 1 and the lid 2. This cooking pot is used not only for general hot pot dishes, but also for general cooking such as pasta, udon noodles, and simmered dishes. The pot body 1 has a bottom surface 10 and a side surface 11, and a storage portion for charging ingredients is provided inside the bottom surface 10. The pot body 1 is preferably made of aluminum die-cast. The lid 2 covers the pot body 1 as needed. The pot body 1 and the lid 2 are square in plan view. As shown in FIG. 5, a flange 13 is formed in the pot body 1, and a step is formed inside the flange 13 to provide a lid mounting portion 14. As shown in FIGS. 1B and 8, an engaging convex portion 22 is formed on the back surface of the frame body 21 of the lid body 2. The engaging convex portion 22 is formed over the entire circumference of the lid body 2 and has a square shape in a plan view. When the grip member 3 is attached with the lid 2 in the first state, there is nothing to engage in the engagement groove 33 of the grip member 3. Further, as shown in FIG. 11, a plurality of (three places) small protrusions 35 having a small height are provided inside the lower surface portion, and function as a non-slip. As shown in FIG. 12, an overhanging portion 34 is provided under the lower surface portion 30 of the gripping member 3. As shown in FIG. 7, the overhanging portion 34 is in a position to cover the side surface 10 of the pot body 1. As a result, when the gripping member 3 is held by hand, the fingertips do not touch the surface of the pot body 1.

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 8, a first relief portion 23 and a second relief portion 24 are formed on the back surface of the lid body 2. The first relief portion 23 is formed with three narrow grooves, and the second relief portion 24 is formed with one wide groove. These escape portions 23 and 24 are provided for draining (hot water draining), and by holding the grip member 3 by hand while holding the lid 2 and tilting the cooking pot, the pan can be removed from the escape portions 23 and 24. As shown in FIG. 5, the flange 13 of the pot body 1 is formed with two stepped portions 13b, and the gripping member 3 is attached to a corner portion in the vicinity thereof.

As shown in FIG. 13, the lid 2 can be placed in a stable state on the mounting surface with the extension 41 provided on the handle 4 facing down. When cooking is completed and the lid 2 is not needed, the lid 2 can be placed in an appropriate place in a stable state.

The shape of the pot body 1 is square in a plan view, but the shape is not limited to this, and other shapes may be adopted. A cooking pot having a pot body having a bottom and sides and a lid.
