Claims (14)
- 電子装置であって、
情報を表示する表示装置と、
前記表示装置に隣接した入力インターフェイスと、
前記入力インターフェイスの各タッチパッドに電気的に結合され、入力インターフェイスにかけるユーザー入力を検出し、当該ユーザー入力に対応する複数の感知信号を生成するコントローラと、
前記コントローラに電気的に結合され、前記複数の感知信号に基づいて対応する機能を実行するプロセッサとを含み、
前記入力インターフェイスは、
放射状アレイ方式で設けられた複数のタッチパッドを含む第一タッチ感知領域と、
前記第一タッチ感知領域の一側に隣接し、マトリックス方式で設けられた複数のタッチパッドを含む第二タッチ感知領域と、
前記第一タッチ感知領域の他側に隣接し、マトリックス方式で設けられた複数のタッチパッドを含む第三タッチ感知領域とを含み、前記第一タッチ感知領域は第二タッチ感知領域と第三タッチ感知領域の間に設けられる、電子装置。 - 前記マトリックスは格子状マトリックスである、請求項1に記載の電子装置。
- 前記第一タッチ感知領域において隣り合ったいずれか2枚のタッチパッドは鋸歯状で噛合している、請求項1に記載の電子装置。
- 前記第一タッチ感知領域は中央領域を囲む、請求項1に記載の電子装置。
- 前記中央領域には更に中央タッチパッドが設けられ、当該中央タッチパッドは前記コントローラに電気的に結合されている、請求項4に記載の電子装置。
- 前記入力インターフェイスは更に、前記中央タッチパッドの下方に前記プロセッサに電気的に結合されるように設けられ、前記中央タッチパッドにかける押圧を検出し、押圧に対応する電子信号を生成するスイッチを含む、請求項5に記載の電子装置。
- 前記電子装置は携帯型電子装置であって、前記第一タッチ感知領域と、第二タッチ感知領域と、第三タッチ感知領域の全体的な幅は前記表示装置の幅とほぼ同じである、請求項1に記載の電子装置。
- 前記第一タッチ感知領域と、第二タッチ感知領域と、第三タッチ感知領域は全体的に矩形を呈する、請求項7に記載の電子装置。
- 前記第一タッチ感知領域と、第二タッチ感知領域と、第三タッチ感知領域における各タッチパッドは容量式のタッチパッドである、請求項1に記載の電子装置。
- 電子装置に用いられる入力インターフェイスであって、
放射状アレイ方式で中央タッチパッドを囲むように設けられた複数のタッチパッドと、中央タッチパッドとを含む第一タッチ感知領域と、
前記第一タッチ感知領域の一側に隣接し、マトリックス方式で設けられた複数のタッチパッドを含む第二タッチ感知領域と、
前記第一タッチ感知領域の他側に隣接し、マトリックス方式で設けられた複数のタッチパッドを含む第三タッチ感知領域とを含み、前記第一タッチ感知領域は第二タッチ感知領域と第三タッチ感知領域の間に設けられる、入力インターフェイス。 - 前記マトリックスは格子状マトリックスである、請求項10に記載の入力インターフェイス。
- 前記第一タッチ感知領域において隣り合ったいずれか2枚のタッチパッドは鋸歯状で噛合している、請求項10に記載の入力インターフェイス。
- 前記第一タッチ感知領域と、第二タッチ感知領域と、第三タッチ感知領域は全体的に矩形を呈する、請求項10に記載の入力インターフェイス。
