On the other hand, what is conventionally called a cotton swab, which has a wiping performance in the pole part space, that is, a cotton swab fixed to both ends of a stick is well known, but is used for a cotton swab. The wiping performance is inadequate due to the large thickness of the fibers that are used, and when wiping a fibrous surface such as a laser disk, the surface may be damaged, or short fibers may be used, causing fiber chips to fall off. It was self-dusting and was unsuitable for wiping electronic components and optical materials.

Also, among the so-called swabs, there are known stick-shaped ends of which a polyurethane foam or a single-fiber filament having a thickness of 1 denier or more is attached and fixed. The wiping performance and the self-dusting property are high, and a fabric made of a filament of 1 denier or more has a problem that the wiping performance is insufficient and the surface of the object to be wiped is damaged.

Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 61-82638 discloses a cotton swab used for cleaning the surface of a semiconductor single crystal substrate, which is made of nylon or polyester fibers having a fiber length of 1 mm or more and a fiber diameter of 0.5 to 10 microns. A cotton swab attached to the tip of the stick with an adhesive is described. This cotton swab has a long fiber length so that no fiber waste remains on the substrate surface, and that the fibers are thin and do not damage the substrate surface. However, since the fiber is attached to the stick using an adhesive, the cotton ball is hardened by the adhesive and has a drawback that it is easily damaged. In particular, a sufficient amount of adhesive is used so that fiber waste is not generated. When fixed, it must be more easily scratched. Further, when the fiber length is about 1 to 5 mm, it is difficult to completely prevent the fiber from falling off only with the adhesive.

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-49168 discloses that the cotton body of a cotton swab is covered with a cloth made of long fibers to prevent the fibers from falling off, but as a specific means for covering with a cloth,
After wrapping a cloth formed of recycled long fibers around a cotton body,
A method of applying a CMC (sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose) adhesive is described. However,
In this method, the adhesive hardens the cloth to make it easily damaged, and there is a limit in reducing the thickness of the recycled long fiber, so that the damage cannot be completely prevented. Since cutting is performed to a size that covers the body, fiber scraps fall out of the cutting portion as well.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> The present invention does not have the drawbacks of the conventional cotton swabs using short fibers, such as fiber and adhesive falling off, further, does not damage the surface of the object to be wiped, and reduces the size of the ultrafine long fiber cloth. There is no problem of thread breakage of the cut part, which is the most problematic when it is attached to a cut rod, and fiber dropout (the cut part is not easily fused and scratched when it is melted). It is intended to provide a swab which is excellent in wiping performance in a small space, a corner portion, a pole portion and the like.

Ultrafilament with a single fiber denier of 0.5 denier or less referred to in the present invention is a method of obtaining an ultrafine fiber from direct spinning, a method of dividing a composite spun fiber in the fiber axis direction to obtain an ultrafine fiber,
It can be obtained by any method such as a method of extracting or eluting and removing one component constituting the fiber from a mixed spun fiber or a conjugate spun fiber with a solvent, a hydrolyzing agent or the like. The filament may be 0.5 denier or less before the fabric is formed, or may be 0.5 denier or less after the fabric is formed. However, the filament must be continuous. This is an essential condition to prevent fiber shedding.

The filament yarn containing ultra-fine filaments of 0.5 denier or less means that it is not necessary to be a filament yarn composed of only ultra-fine fibers, and that fibers containing more than 0.5 denier may be contained. This is the case where the proportion of the ultrafine fibers in the filament yarn is 30% by weight or more.

In particular, it is preferable that the shrinkage-differentiated mixed yarn in which the surface of the filament yarn is covered with the ultrafine fibers, and the wiping performance and the surface damage of the object to be wiped are small even if the ratio of the ultrafine fibers is relatively low. Fibers other than ultrafine fibers can be freely selected. For example, if conductive fibers and antistatic fibers are mixed, electrical trouble due to static electricity at the time of wiping, which is a problem in electronic parts and the like, can be reduced. The fabric is
It is not necessary to use only the filament yarn as described above, and another filament yarn may be used in combination. However, it is preferable that the surface of the fabric to be the wiping surface is covered with the above-mentioned ultrafine fiber filament yarn.

The ultrafine fiber cloth refers to a form such as a woven fabric, a knitted fabric, or a non-woven fabric, and also includes a form such as a braid, a ribbon, a Lilian, and a woven fabric. A seamless tubular fabric is a seamless woven or knitted fabric such as braid, lilian, or crochet, and is formed by laminating fabrics and integrating the ends (heat fusion, stitching, bonding, etc.) to form a tubular shape. Not included. With a tubular fabric having an outer circumference of 1 mm to 20 mm, the circumference of the tubular object is about 1 mm to 20

One of the great merits of these tubular cloths is that the cloth does not need to be cut in accordance with the size of the rod, and that the fiber in the cut portion does not fray. A filament bundle, a conductive long fiber, an antistatic long fiber, a sponge, a rubber, or the like may be present at the time of fabric formation or after fabric formation, as necessary, in order to stabilize the form of the tubular material. . These serve as a cushion between the surface to be wiped and the rod, and also serve to prevent collapse of the tubular fabric due to bending or the like when the tubular fabric is attached to the end of the rod.

The rod-shaped material referred to in the present invention does not need to be a rod having a certain thickness, and may be slightly thicker at one end, or may be a hollow material, for easy use. The shape is not particularly limited as long as the shape is an elongated shape having an arbitrary cross-sectional shape.

The length of the rod is preferably about 2 to 30 cm. If it is less than 2 cm, it is difficult to grasp it by hand and it is difficult to operate it. If it is more than 30 cm, it is difficult to handle. The ultrafine fiber cloth may be arranged so as to be present at one end or both ends of the rod-shaped material,
The microfiber fabric may be present in several layers. When using an ultrafine fiber cloth other than a seamless tubular cloth in the present invention, the number of cut sections of the cloth increases, and the cut sections are housed in a tape or a tube so that the fibers do not fray and do not fall off. There is a need.

In particular, it is effective to fix to a rod-shaped object by a heat-shrinkable tube. That is, a cloth is covered so as to cover the end of the rod-shaped material, and a heat-shrinkable tube is covered so as to cover the cut part of the fabric in order to integrate the cut portion of the fabric with the rod-shaped material, and the tube is thermally contracted and fixed. The method is preferred. In particular, in the case of a seamless tubular cloth, as shown in FIG. 1, a seamless tubular cloth 2 is placed over the end of a rod-shaped material 1, and a heat-shrinkable tube is placed such that a cut portion of the tubular cloth is covered under a heat-shrinkable tube 3. And fixing by heat shrinking is preferred in order to completely prevent the fiber from falling off. At that time, a plurality of tubular fabrics may be used to cover one end of the rod-shaped material. Alternatively, a tube-shaped cloth may be set inside a hollow rod-shaped material like a shaping pencil so that a clean cloth can be used while taking out the cloth as needed.
