Abstract

[Problem] Conventional vitamin supplements for cattle (feed additives) do not contain mycotoxin adsorbents, so feed additives and mycotoxin adsorbents had to be purchased separately. [Solution] Mycotoxin adsorbents are pre-mixed into vitamin supplements for cattle. [Effect] The process of mixing vitamin supplements for cattle and mycotoxin adsorbents can be simplified. By eliminating uneven mixing, each cattle can be sure to ingest both ingredients (vitamins and mycotoxin adsorbents). [Selected illustration] None

Description

Health Vitamin (hereinafter referred to as the present invention) is a vitamin supplement (a feed additive for cattle) that is mixed in advance with a mycotoxin adsorbent, ensuring that cattle receive both the vitamin supplement and the mycotoxin adsorbent.

Dairy farmers feed cows roughage (grass, straw, hay, silage, etc.) with vitamin supplements and mycotoxin adsorbents. Traditionally, vitamin supplements in cow feed additives were only used to supplement vitamins. Cows are given vitamin supplements to prevent vitamin deficiencies caused by poor nutrition, such as diarrhea and pneumonia, unstable milk production, and reproductive disorders. Mycotoxin adsorbents are also given to prevent mycotoxin contamination caused by silage. Dairy farmers in Hokkaido in particular feed grass that has been silaged (a type of livestock feed made by fermenting feed crops in silos, etc. Some use grains and others straw). It is said that factors that cause mycotoxins to occur increase during each stage of silage production and storage. Therefore, mycotoxin adsorbents are given as a countermeasure to prevent mycotoxins from being taken into the body.
Due to the above-mentioned needs, our company had doubts about (1) the point of purchasing vitamin supplements and mycotoxin adsorbents separately and mixing them (hereinafter referred to as "mixing") and (2) whether purchasing them separately and feeding them would result in unevenness in the mixture.
Therefore, we thought that by blending a mycotoxin adsorbent with a vitamin preparation in advance, there would be no need to purchase it separately and it would be possible to give a uniform required amount when feeding, and this led to the present invention.

This allows dairy farmers to take vitamin supplements and mycotoxin countermeasures at the same time, and simplifies the process of mixing vitamin supplements and mycotoxin adsorbents.

The present invention is mixed with feed for milking and growing cows. The feeding amount is 15-20 g/day for calves and 100 g/day for adult cows. The amounts of the ingredients are shown in Figure 1.

With this invention, it is no longer necessary to purchase vitamins and mycotoxin adsorbents separately, which were previously required. However, purchasing them separately can lead to uneven mixing of the vitamins and mycotoxin adsorbents. Furthermore, the question of whether the necessary amount of feed is being given to the cows, which is caused by uneven mixing, remains unanswered.
