Abstract
Description
本発明は一実施例において、
正極;負極;および分離膜を含み;上記負極は両面に分離膜が配置されてジグザグ状にm回(ただし、mは2≦m≦100である整数)折り曲げられた積層構造を有し;上記正極は負極に沿って折り曲げられた分離膜の内側にn+1個(ただし、nは1≦n≦99である整数であり、m=n+1である)が個別的に挿入された構造を有し;負極の折り曲げ構造を含む側面を基準として、n番目に挿入された正極端部の離隔距離はn+1番目に挿入された正極端部の隔離距離と10μm~2mmの偏差を有する電極組立体を提供する。

負極の折り曲げ構造を含む側面を基準として、n番目に挿入された正極端部の離隔距離はn+1番目に挿入された正極端部の隔離距離と10μm~2mmの偏差を有する電極組立体を提供する。
また、本発明は一実施例において、
上述された本発明の電極組立体を含む二次電池を提供する。
銅集電体の両面に活物質として黒鉛を含有する負極合材層を具備する帯状の負極;ポリプロピレン分離膜;およびアルミニウム集電体の両面に活物質としてリチウムニッケルコバルトマンガン酸化物を含有する正極合材層を含む板状の正極をそれぞれ準備した。
銅集電体の両面に活物質として黒鉛を含有する負極合材層を具備する帯状の負極;ポリプロピレン分離膜;およびアルミニウム集電体の両面に活物質としてリチウムニッケルコバルトマンガン酸化物を含有する正極合材層を含む板状の正極をそれぞれ準備した。
銅集電体の両面に活物質として黒鉛を含有する負極合材層を具備する帯状の負極;ポリプロピレン分離膜;およびアルミニウム集電体の両面に活物質としてリチウムニッケルコバルトマンガン酸化物を含有する正極合材層を含む板状の正極をそれぞれ準備した。
本発明に係る電極組立体の電池安全性およびエネルギー密度を評価するために、実施例および比較例で製作された電極組立体をパウチに挿入し、電解液を注入した後にシーリングして二次電池を製造し、下記のような実験を遂行した。
実施例および比較例で製作された電極組立体を含む各二次電池を4.2~4.25V条件で完全充電した。その後、釘貫通試験機を利用して鉄で作られた直径1~3mmの釘を、上記で作られた電池の中央に貫通させて発火の有無および未発火電池の最高温度を測定した。このとき、釘の貫通速度は0.1~80m/minと一定にし、その結果を下記の表1に示した。
実施例および比較例の電極組立体を含む各二次電池の充放電を遂行して単位体積当たりエネルギーを分析した。このとき、上記充放電は2.5V~4.2Vの間で進行させ、充電はCC/CV、放電はCCで測定した。C-rate測定基準は1Cを60Aとした時に3Cのエネルギーを確認し、実施例1のエネルギー密度を基準として測定された各エネルギー密度の相対比較を遂行して表1に示した。
充放電が遂行された各二次電池を分解して負極表面でリチウム金属が析出されたかどうかを確認した。分解された負極表面でリチウム金属が析出した場合は「〇」で表示し、リチウム金属が析出されなかった場合には「×」で表示した。

Claims (11)
- 正極;負極;および分離膜を含み、
前記負極は両面に分離膜が配置されてジグザグ状にm回(ただし、mは2≦m≦100である整数)折り曲げられた積層構造を有し、
前記正極は負極に沿って折り曲げられた分離膜の内側にn+1個(ただし、nは1≦n≦99である整数であり、m=n+1である)が個別的に挿入された構造を有し、
負極の折り曲げ構造を含む側面を基準として、n番目に挿入された正極端部の離隔距離はn+1番目に挿入された正極端部の隔離距離と10μm~2mmの偏差を有する、電極組立体。 - 負極の折り曲げ構造を含む電極組立体の側面を基準として、n番目に挿入された正極端部の離隔距離はn+1番目に挿入された正極端部の隔離距離と10μm~500μmの偏差を有する、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 負極の折り曲げ構造を含む電極組立体の側面を基準として、n番目に挿入された正極端部の離隔距離はn+1番目に挿入された正極端部の隔離距離と500μm~2,000μmの偏差を有する、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 正極は分離膜の内側に挿入された端部の他側端部が、電極組立体の同一側面を基準として50μm~150μmの離隔距離を有する、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 正極は分離膜の内側に挿入された端部の他側端部が、電極組立体の同一側面を基準として400μm~2,000μmの離隔距離を有する、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 負極の平均厚さは50μm~500μmである、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 分離膜の平均厚さは5μm~100μmである、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 正極の平均厚さは50μm~500μmである、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 負極は両面に分離膜が配置されてジグザグ状に20回~60回折り曲げられた積層構造を有する、請求項1に記載の電極組立体。
- 正極;負極;および分離膜を含み;上記負極は両面に分離膜が配置されてジグザグ状にm回(ただし、mは2≦m≦100である整数)折り曲げられた積層構造を有し;前記正極は負極に沿って折り曲げられた分離膜の内側にn+1個(ただし、nは1≦n≦99である整数であり、m=n+1である)が個別的に挿入された構造を有し;負極の折り曲げ構造を含む側面を基準として、n番目に挿入された正極端部の離隔距離はn+1番目に挿入された正極端部の隔離距離と10μm~2mmの偏差を有する電極組立体、および
前記電極組立体と電解液を内蔵するケースを含む、二次電池。 - 前記電極組立体の正極と負極にそれぞれ連結されて前記ケースの外部に引き出される正極タブと負極タブを含み、
前記正極タブおよび負極タブは負極の折り曲げ構造を含む電極組立体の側面と隣接した側面に位置する、請求項10に記載の二次電池。
