Abstract
Description
元素周期表へのいかなる参照も、CRC Press,Inc.によって1990~1991に発行されたときのものである。この周期表の元素の族への参照は、族の番号付与の新しい表記法による。
交流破壊強度(AC破壊またはACBDとしても既知)は、Hipotronics AC破壊試験装置を使用してASTM D149に従って測定される。サンプルは、試験前に180℃で40ミル(1.0mm)のプラークに圧縮成形される。
金属水酸化物の平均幅および平均厚さは、金属水酸化物の走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)写真から得られた10個の任意の微結晶の測定された幅および測定された厚さの値の算術平均からそれぞれ計算される。

本組成物は、金属水酸化物成分を含有する。「金属水酸化物成分」は、10以上のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物を含有する成分である。
金属水酸化物成分は、10以上のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物(「高アスペクト比の金属水酸化物」)を含有する。
一実施形態では、金属水酸化物成分は、高アスペクトの金属水酸化物に加えて、10未満のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物(「低アスペクト比の金属水酸化物」)を含有する。
一実施形態では、本組成物は、(A)エチレン系ポリマーと、(B)金属水酸化物成分と、(C)1つ以上の任意の添加剤と、を含む。
(A)58重量%~95重量%、または65重量%~94重量%、または80重量%~90重量%のエチレン系ポリマーであって、MDPE、VLDPE、LLDPE、および任意選択でMAH-g-HDPEを含有するか、これらから本質的になるか、またはこれらからなるブレンドである、エチレン系ポリマー、
(B)5重量%~15重量%、または8重量%~15重量%、または10重量%~15重量%、または12重量%~15重量%の金属水酸化物成分であって、
i.10超、または10~100、または10~75、または10~90、または10~50、または10~25、または20~90、または30~90、または40~90、または40~83のアスペクト比を有する水酸化マグネシウムである高アスペクト比の金属水酸化物であって、以下の特性:(a)0.01μm~0.5μm、もしくは0.01μm~0.15μm、もしくは0.05μm~0.10μmの平均厚さ、および/または(b)4.0μm~6.0μm、もしくは4.5μm~5.0μmの平均幅、および/または(c)2.0g/cc~4.0g/cc、もしくは2.4g/cc~3.0g/ccの比重のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有する高アスペクト比の金属水酸化物、
ii.任意選択で、1~9、または1~6、または4~5のアスペクト比を有する水酸化マグネシウムである低アスペクト比の金属水酸化物であって、以下の特性:(a)0.15μm~0.50μm、もしくは0.20μm~0.30μmの平均厚さ、および/または(b)0.15μm~2.0μm、もしくは0.60μm~0.90μmの平均幅、および/または(c)2.0g/cc~4.0g/cc、もしくは2.4g/cc~3.0g/ccの比重のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有する低アスペクト比の金属水酸化物を含有するか、これらから本質的になるか、またはこれらからなる、金属水酸化物成分、
(C)任意選択で、本組成物の総重量に基づいて、1重量%~20重量%、または1重量%~10重量%、または1重量%~5重量%、または2重量%~5重量%の添加剤を含有するか、これらから本質的になるか、またはこれらからなり、
本組成物は、0.53W・m-1・K-1超、または0.54W・m-1・K-1超、または0.55W・m-1・K-1超、または0.58W・m-1・K-1超、または0.60W・m-1・K-1超、または0.62W・m-1・K-1超、または0.65W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率を有し、
本組成物は、0.850g/cc~1.020g/cc、または0.950g/cc~1.020、または0.990g/cc~1.020、または0.990g/cc~1.010、または0.990g/cc~1.000g/ccの密度を有し、
本組成物は、以下の特性のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有する:(i)2.75kV超、もしくは3.00kV超の初期トラッキング電圧、および/または(ii)40kV/mm~70kV/mm、もしくは41kV/mm~50kV/mmのACBD、および/または(iii)13.0MPa~35.0MPa、もしくは16.0MPa~35.0MPa、もしくは19.0MPa~30.0MPaの引張強度、および/または(iv)400%~1,500%、もしくは400%~1,000%、もしくは500%~1,000%の引張伸度。
本開示は、被覆導体を提供する。被覆導体は、非金属導体および非金属導体上の被覆を含む。被覆は、(A)エチレン系ポリマーと、(B)被覆の総重量に基づいて5重量%~15重量%の金属水酸化物成分と、を含有する。金属水酸化物成分は、10以上のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物を含む。被覆は、0.52W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率、および1.02g/cc以下の密度を有する。
被覆導体は、非金属導体を含む。「非金属導体」は、金属をまったく含まないか、または実質的に全く含まない導体である。非金属導体は、単一ワイヤー/ファイバーまたは複数ワイヤー/ファイバーであり得、かつ撚線の形態または管状の形態であり得る。好適な非金属導体の非限定的な例としては、ガラスまたはプラスチックのいずれかから作製された光ファイバーが挙げられる。非金属導体は、保護シース内に配置されてもされなくてもよい。
被覆導体は、非金属導体上の被覆を含む。被覆は、(A)エチレン系ポリマーと、(B)被覆の総重量に基づいて5重量%~15重量%の金属水酸化物成分と、を含有する。金属水酸化物成分は、10以上のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物を含む。被覆は、0.52W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率、および1.02g/cc以下の密度を有する。
光ファイバーを含む非金属導体、
非金属導体上の最外部被覆であって、
(A)58重量%~95重量%、または65重量%~94重量%、または80重量%~90重量%のエチレン系ポリマーであって、MDPE、VLDPE、LLDPE、および任意選択でMAH-g-HDPEを含有するか、これらから本質的になるか、またはこれらからなるブレンドである、エチレン系ポリマー、

最外部被覆は、以下の特性のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有する:(i)0.52W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.53W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.54W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.55W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.58W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.60W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.62W・m-1・K-1超、もしくは0.65W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率、および/または(ii)0.850g/cc~1.020g/cc、もしくは0.950g/cc~1.020、もしくは0.990g/cc~1.020、もしくは0.990g/cc~1.010、もしくは0.990g/cc~1.000g/ccの密度、および/または(iii)2.75kV超、もしくは3.00kV超の初期トラッキング電圧、および/または(iv)40kV/mm~70kV/mm、もしくは41kV/mm~50kV/mmのACBD、および/または(v)13.0MPa~35.0MPa、もしく16.0MPa~35.0MPa、もしくは19.0MPa~30.0MPaの引張強度、および/または(vi)400%~1,500%、もしくは400%~1,000%、もしくは500%~1,000%の引張伸度。
Claims (15)
- 組成物であって、
(A)エチレン系ポリマー、
(B)前記組成物の総重量に基づいて5重量%~15重量%の金属水酸化物成分であって、10以上のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物を含む、金属水酸化物成分を含み、
前記組成物が、0.52W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率、および1.02g/cc以下の密度を有する、組成物。 - 前記(A)エチレン系ポリマーが、中密度ポリエチレンと、超低密度ポリエチレンと、を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、0.54W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率を有する、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、2.75kV超の初期トラッキング電圧を有する、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の総重量に基づいて、10重量%~15重量%の前記金属水酸化物を含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記金属水酸化物成分が、10未満のアスペクト比を有する第2の金属水酸化物を含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- (C)無水マレイン酸グラフト化エチレン系ポリマーをさらに含む、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 被覆導体であって、
非金属導体、
前記非金属導体上の被覆を備え、前記被覆が、
(A)エチレン系ポリマー、
(B)前記被覆の総重量に基づいて5重量%~15重量%の金属水酸化物成分であって、10以上のアスペクト比を有する金属水酸化物を含む、金属水酸化物成分を含む、被覆導体。 - 前記被覆が、最外部層である、請求項8に記載の被覆導体。
- 前記被覆が、0.52W・m-1・K-1超の熱伝導率、および1.02g/cc以下の密度を有する、請求項8または9に記載の被覆導体。
- 前記(A)エチレン系ポリマーが、中密度ポリエチレンと、超低密度ポリエチレンと、を含む、請求項8~10のいずれか一項に記載の被覆導体。
- 前記被覆が、2.75kV超の初期トラッキング電圧を有する、請求項8~11のいずれか一項に記載の被覆導体。
- 前記金属水酸化物成分が、10未満のアスペクト比を有する第2の金属水酸化物を含む、請求項8~12のいずれか一項に記載の被覆導体。
- 前記被覆が、(C)無水マレイン酸グラフト化エチレン系ポリマーをさらに含む、請求項8~13のいずれか一項に記載の被覆導体。
- 前記非金属導体が、光ファイバーを備える、請求項8~14のいずれか一項に記載の被覆導体。
