Claims (20)
- IVスパイクであって、
第1の材料と、一点に収束するスパイク部分とを含むスパイク本体と、
前記スパイク本体を貫通して形成された少なくとも1つのスパイク・フロー・ポートと、
前記少なくとも1つのスパイク・フロー・ポートと流体連通する下部フロー・ポートと、
前記スパイク本体の周りに配置されたオーバーモールドされた係合機構であって、第2の材料を含み、IV容器内に前記IVスパイクを保持するように構成された、オーバーモールドされた係合機構と
を備える、IVスパイク。 - 前記第1の材料が、アクリロニトリル・ブタジエン・スチレン・プラスチックを含む、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記スパイク部分が先端面取り部を備える、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記少なくとも1つのスパイク・フロー・ポートが前記スパイク部分と隣接して配置されている、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記少なくとも1つのスパイク・フロー・ポートが複数のフロー・ポートを備える、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記第2の材料が、前記第1の材料よりも大きい摩擦係数を備える、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記第2の材料が、熱可塑性エラストマー又はシリコーンを含む、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、前記スパイク本体の軸方向の長さに沿って延在する、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、円筒状の本体を備える、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、前記スパイク本体の周囲に配置されている、請求項9に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、前記スパイク本体から半径方向に離れるように延在する、請求項1に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、上部遠位半径及び上部近位半径を有する上部バーブを備え、前記上部遠位半径が前記上部近位半径よりも小さい、請求項11に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、下部遠位半径及び下部近位半径を有する下部バーブを備え、前記下部遠位半径が前記下部近位半径よりも大きく、前記下部バーブが前記上部バーブから離間している、請求項12に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記オーバーモールドされた係合機構が、前記スパイク本体から半径方向に離れるように延在する中心高さを有する軸方向保持機構を備える、請求項11に記載のIVスパイク。
- IVスパイクであって、
一点に収束するスパイク部分を備えるスパイク本体と、
前記スパイク本体を貫通して形成された少なくとも1つのスパイク・フロー・ポートと、
前記少なくとも1つのスパイク・フロー・ポートと流体連通する下部フロー・ポートと、
前記スパイク本体から軸方向に離れるように延在する係合機構であって、IV容器内に前記IVスパイクを保持するように構成された、係合機構と
を備える、IVスパイク。 - 前記係合機構が、上部遠位半径及び上部近位半径を有する上部バーブを備え、前記上部遠位半径が前記上部近位半径よりも小さい、請求項15に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記係合機構が、下部遠位半径及び下部近位半径を有する下部バーブを備え、前記下部遠位半径が前記下部近位半径よりも大きく、前記下部バーブが前記上部バーブから離間している、請求項16に記載のIVスパイク。
- 前記係合機構が、前記スパイク本体から半径方向に離れるように延在する中心高さを有する軸方向保持機構を備える、請求項15に記載のIVスパイク。
- IV容器からドリップ・チャンバに流体を移送する方法であって、
IVスパイクの係合機構を前記IV容器の膜に対して係合することと、
前記IVスパイクを介して、前記IV容器から前記ドリップ・チャンバに流れを向けることと
を含む、IV容器からドリップ・チャンバに流体を移送する方法。 - 前記IV容器の前記膜を通って前記IVスパイクを前進させることによって、前記IV容器を穿孔することと、
前記IV容器を通って前記IVスパイクを前進させることと
をさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
