Claims (20)
- 静脈中に使用する装置において、
第1部材及び第2部材であって、前記第1部材及び前記第2部材の各々は、可撓性接合部を備え、前記可撓性接合部は、前記第1部材を、第1セグメント端部を有する第1セグメントと、第2セグメント端部を有する第2セグメントとに分割し、前記第1セグメント端部及び前記第2セグメント端部は、前記可撓性接合部から遠位にある、第1部材及び第2部材と、
第1端部が前記第1部材の前記第1セグメントに接続され、第2端部が前記第2部材の前記第1セグメントに接続され、前記第1端部から遠位で前記第1端部が前記第1部材の前記第1セグメントに接続された交差部材であって、前記交差部材は、各部材の可撓性接合部よりも各第1セグメントの前記第1セグメント端部に近い各第1セグメントに接続されている、交差部材と、
前記第1部材の前記第2セグメントに接続され、前記第1部材の前記第2セグメント端部よりも前記第1部材の前記可撓性接合部に近い、第1接合部材と、
前記第2部材の前記第2セグメントに接続され、前記第2部材の前記第2セグメント端部よりも前記第2部材の前記可撓性接合部に近い第2接合部材と、
を備え、
前記交差部材、前記第1接合部材、および前記第2接合部材は、それぞれ、縦方向の軸に沿って変形可能である、装置。 - 前記第1接合部材は、前記第1部材の前記可撓性接合部から遠位にある第3端部を備え、
前記第2接合部材は、第4端部を備え、前記第4端部は、前記第2部材の可撓性接合部から遠位にあり、
各第1セグメント端部は、第1隣接装置の第2セグメント端部に柔軟に接合するように構成され、
前記第3端部は、第2隣接装置の第4端部と接合するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記装置は、所定の温度より低い温度で塑性変形することができ、前記所定の温度より高い温度で変形しない形状に戻る形状記憶材料から作られる、請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、ニッケルチタン合金から作られる、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 第1接合部材および第2接合部材は、各々が、前記第1部材および第2部材に鋭角に屈曲して付けられる、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 複数のセルを備えたステントにおいて、
各セルは、
第1部材及び第2部材であって、前記第1部材及び前記第2部材の各々は、可撓性接合部を備え、前記可撓性接合部は、前記第1部材を、第1セグメント端部を有する第1セグメントと、第2セグメント端部を有する第2セグメントとに分割し、前記第1セグメント端部及び第2セグメント端部は、前記可撓性接合部から遠位にある、第1部材及び第2部材と、
前記第1部材の前記第1セグメント端部に近接する前記第1部材の前記第1セグメントに接続された第1端部と、前記第1端部から遠位にあって前記第2部材の前記第1セグメント端部に近接する前記第2部材の前記第1セグメントに接続された第2端部とを有する交差部材であって、前記交差部材は、各部材の可撓性接合部から遠位の各第1セグメントに接続される、交差部材と、
前記第1部材の可撓性接合部に近接し、かつ前記第1部材の前記第2セグメント端部から遠位の前記第1部材の前記第2セグメントに接続された第1接合部材と、
前記第2部材の可撓性接合部に近接し、かつ前記第2部材の前記第2セグメント端部から遠位にある、前記第2部材の前記第2セグメントに接続された第2接合部材と、
を備え、
前記複数のセルは、各セルの第1セグメント端部、第2セグメント端部、第1接合部材、および/または第2接合部材のうちの一つ又は複数を介して互いに相互接続されている、ステント。 - 前記複数のセルは、管状構造体を形成するように相互接続される、請求項6に記載のステント。
- 前記複数のセルは、第1セルセットおよび第2セルセット、第3セルセットを備え、
前記第1セルセット、前記第2セルセット、前記第3セルセットの各々は、管状構造体を備え、前記第1セルセットは、前記第2セルセットの第1端部に軸方向に付けられ、前記第3セルセットは、前記第2セルセットの第2端部に軸方向に付けられる、請求項7に記載のステント。 - 前記ステントは、第1端部と第2端部とを有し、前記端部のうちの1つは、複数の突起(barbs)を備える、請求項7または8に記載のステント。
- 前記ステントは、前記ステントに沿って軸方向に配置された複数の突起を備える、請求項7~9のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 前記複数のセルの各々は、所定の温度より低い温度で塑性変形することができ、前記所定の温度より高い温度で、変形しない形状に戻る形状記憶材料から作られる、請求項7~10のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 前記ステントは、ニッケルチタン合金から作られる、請求項11に記載のステント。
- 各セルの各第1接合部材及び第2接合部材は、それぞれの第1部材及び第2部材に鋭角に屈曲して接続されている、請求項6~12のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 身体管路の狭窄を制御する方法であって、
部分的または全体的に閉塞している管路の一部分に管状構成のステントを挿入するステップと、
前記管路を閉塞から解放する所定の直径まで前記ステントを径方向に拡大するステップと、
を含み、
前記ステントは、その直径が増大するにつれて軸方向に拡大するように構成され、前記ステントは、複数のセルから構成され、各セルは、
第1部材及び第2部材であって、前記第1部材及び前記第2部材の各々が可撓性接合部をさらに備え、前記可撓性接合部は、前記第1部材を、第1セグメント端部を有する第1セグメントと、第2セグメント端部を有する第2セグメントとに分割し、前記第1セグメント端部及び前記第2セグメント端部は、前記可撓性接合部から遠位にある、第1部材及び第2部材と、
前記第1部材の第1セグメント端部に近接する前記第1部材の前記第1セグメントに接続された第1端と、前記第2部材の前記第1セグメント端部に近接する前記第2部材の前記第1セグメントに接続され、前記第1端部から遠位の第2端とを有する交差部材であって、
各部材の可撓性接合部から遠位の各第1セグメントに接続されている、交差部材と、
前記第1部材の前記第2セグメントに接続され、前記第1部材の可撓性接合部に近接し、かつ前記第1部材の前記第2セグメント端部から遠位にある、第1接合部材と、
前記第2部材の前記第2セグメントに接続され、前記第2部材の可撓性接合部に近接し、かつ前記第2部材の前記第2セグメント端部から遠位にある、第2接合部材と、
を備える、方法。 - 前記管路は、胆管、尿生殖路、胃腸管、気管気管支構造、洞、唾液腺、唾液腺管、リンパ管、外科的腸瘻造設術、外科的動静脈瘻または移植片、少なくとも2つの身体構造の外科的吻合、または動脈のうちの一つまたは一つの一部分である、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の直径を維持しながら、部分的または全体的に遮断された静脈部分に隣接する静脈の部分の閉塞を防止する所定の長さまで、前記ステントを軸方向に拡大または圧縮するステップをさらに含む、請求項14または15に記載の方法。
- 前記ステントを軸方向に曲がった構成に配置するために、前記ステントの前記第1部分を前記ステントの前記第2部分とは異なる軸方向の長さまで軸方向に拡大又は圧縮するステップを更に含む、請求項14~16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ステントを挿入する前に、前記ステントを径方向に圧縮するステップを更に含む、請求項14~17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ステントは、所定の温度を下回ると、塑性変形し、前記所定の温度を上回ると、変形しない形状に戻るように構成され、前記ステントは、挿入前に前記所定の温度を下回る温度で径方向に圧縮される、請求項14~18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の温度は、37℃未満である、請求項19に記載の方法。
