Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ultraviolet irradiation device including an excimer lamp.
Conventionally, in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases caused by harmful microorganisms (bacteria, molds, etc.) and viruses, microorganisms and viruses floating in space, and microorganisms attached to various places such as floors, walls, and surfaces of objects. And viruses are inactivated by irradiating them with ultraviolet rays.
For example,
Further, for example, in Patent Document 2, as light capable of killing bacteria without harming human cells, ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of around 200 nm (for example, excimer light having a wavelength of 207 nm or 222 nm) can be used. It is disclosed that it is safe for humans and can sterilize spaces and surfaces by UV.
With the discovery of UV light that does not harm human cells and can inactivate harmful microorganisms and viruses, such UV light is used in facilities (hospitals, sports facilities, theaters, restaurants, conference rooms) where people and animals come and go. , Toilet, etc.) and vehicles (airplanes, trains, buses, cars), etc., are expected to be used as inactivating microorganisms and viruses. However, the ultraviolet irradiation device described in
Further, since the excimer lamp can adjust the wavelength characteristic (wavelength range) of the light emitted depending on the type of the discharge gas, by using an appropriate gas as the discharge gas, the center wavelength is around 200 nm. It is possible to obtain synchrotron radiation (ultraviolet rays) having. Specifically, synchrotron radiation having a central wavelength of 207 nm can be obtained by using krypton bromide (KrBr) gas, and synchrotron radiation having a central wavelength of 222 nm can be obtained by using krypton chloride (KrCl) gas.
However, ozone ( O3) may be generated when the synchrotron radiation contains ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of less than 190 nm. This is because when ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of less than 190 nm are irradiated in an atmosphere containing oxygen, oxygen molecules are photodecomposed to generate oxygen atoms, and ozone is generated by the bond reaction between the oxygen molecules and the oxygen atoms. be. Therefore, when a specific excimer lamp is turned on in the atmosphere, a small amount of ozone may be generated in the atmosphere when a small amount of ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of less than 190 nm is emitted. This ozone may deteriorate organic materials such as resin and rubber.
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide an ultraviolet irradiation device equipped with an excimer lamp that emits light having a central wavelength in a wavelength range of 200 nm to 230 nm and having a more versatile device structure.
In order to solve the above problems, one aspect of the ultraviolet irradiation device according to the present invention is arranged in contact with a discharge container in which a light emitting gas is sealed and the discharge container, and a dielectric barrier discharge is provided inside the discharge container. An excimer lamp having a pair of first and second electrodes, and the excimer lamp are housed therein, and light emitted from the excima lamp is emitted with a center wavelength of 200 to 230 nm. A housing made of an insulating heat-resistant resin material having a window, and a first connection terminal provided by electrically connecting the first electrode to the outside of the housing and penetrating the housing. , The first conductive member connected to the first connection terminal, the second connection terminal provided by electrically connecting the second electrode to the outside of the housing and penetrating the housing, and the above. A second conductive member connected to the second connection terminal is provided, and the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal are provided outside the housing via the first conductive member and the second conductive member. It is electrically connected to a power supply unit that supplies power to the excimer lamp.
By covering the excimer lamp with the heat-resistant resin housing in this way, the inside of the housing can be easily kept warm. As a result, the effect of alleviating the ultraviolet distortion of the glass constituting the discharge container can be obtained. In addition, if a small amount of oxygen is present around the excimer lamp, the oxygen may receive ultraviolet rays radiated from the excimer lamp and generate ozone, but the heat is kept inside the housing to thermally decompose ozone. Has the effect of promoting. Further, since the structure keeps the inside of the housing warm, it is not necessary to arrange a mechanism for cooling, for example, an excimer lamp or the like in the housing. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the housing structure from becoming large and to make the device structure highly versatile.
Further, by providing the power supply unit outside the housing, even if a small amount of ozone is generated around the excimer lamp, it is possible to prevent the components of the power supply unit from being deteriorated by the ozone. Further, since it is possible to realize an electrical connection with the power supply unit via a connection terminal provided through the housing, a highly versatile device structure can be obtained. Further, since the excimer lamp is housed in the housing, the lamp can be replaced by replacing the housing itself, which makes the device structure highly convenient.
Further, when the connection terminal is used, it is easy to manufacture in manufacturing, and it is possible to easily realize a feeding structure that penetrates the housing and connects to the electrode.
Further, in the ultraviolet irradiation device, the first electrode and the second electrode are in contact with and fixed to the housing, and the first connection terminal is in contact with the first electrode in the housing. The second connection terminal may be provided on the surface, and the second connection terminal may be provided on the surface of the housing with which the second electrode abuts.
In this case, the electrical connection inside the housing may have a structure that does not use a conductive member (electric wire). When using an electric wire for electrical connection, there is a concern about short circuit and electric leakage if it is assumed that the material covering the electric wire is deteriorated by ozone. You can avoid the problem. In addition, by providing a connection terminal on the contact surface between the housing and the electrode, it is possible to make the electrical connection between the electrode and the power supply unit more robust while maintaining the closed space inside the housing. can. In addition, it is possible to more appropriately prevent the ultraviolet rays generated in the housing from leaking from the through holes forming the connection terminals.
Further, in the ultraviolet irradiation device, the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal may be screw members for fixing the first electrode and the second electrode to the housing, respectively.
In this case, the connection terminal can also be used as a mechanical connection (fixing of the electrode) between the housing and the electrode.
Further, in the ultraviolet irradiation device, the housing includes an upper frame portion and a lower frame portion, and the upper frame portion and the lower frame portion form a closed space for accommodating the excimer lamp. The light emitting window may be formed in the upper frame portion, and the first electrode and the second electrode may be fixed to the lower frame portion, respectively.
In this case, the ultraviolet irradiation device can be easily manufactured and assembled.
Further, in the ultraviolet irradiation device, the power supply unit may be arranged on the side of the housing opposite to the surface on which the light emission window is formed.
In this case, the structure can be the most compact, easy to handle, and versatile.
Further, in the above-mentioned ultraviolet irradiation device, the power supply unit may include an inverter and a cooling mechanism for cooling the inverter.
In this case, the power supply unit can be efficiently cooled.
Furthermore, in the above-mentioned ultraviolet irradiation device, the light emitting window may be provided with an optical filter that blocks the transmission of UVC waves on the wavelength side longer than 230 nm.
In this case, it is possible to use an ultraviolet irradiation device that emits light in a wavelength range that has little adverse effect on the human body.
Further, in the above-mentioned ultraviolet irradiation device, the heat-resistant resin material contains polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE), perfluoroalkoxyalkane (PFA), polyetherimide (PEI), and glass fiber. It can be any of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS-GF), liquid crystal polymer (LCP), and glass fiber-containing polybutylene terephthalate (PBT-GF).
In this case, the housing can be made of a resin material that is less deteriorated by ultraviolet rays and has sufficient heat resistance (100 ° C. or higher). In addition, when considering not only the deterioration resistance and heat resistance of ultraviolet rays but also the light-shielding property and processability of UVC waves, polyetherimide (PEI) is the most convenient and suitable.
According to one aspect of the present invention, an excimer lamp that emits light having a central wavelength in a wavelength of 200 nm to 230 nm can be mounted, and an ultraviolet irradiation device having a more versatile device structure can be obtained.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, the

Further, in order to verify in detail the deterioration of ultraviolet rays with respect to ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 200 to 230 nm, a KrCl excimer lamp that emits light having a peak wavelength of 222 nm was used to irradiate ultraviolet rays having an illuminance of 15 mW / cm 2 for 20 minutes. When the deterioration status was confirmed, in particular, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA) and polyetherimide (PEI) were hardly confirmed to be deteriorated by UV, and are preferable as the material of the housing according to the present invention. I was able to confirm that.
Furthermore, considering it as an ultraviolet irradiation device that inactivates microorganisms and viruses without harming human cells, the housing containing a light source (for example, an excimer lamp) transmits UVC waves that are harmful to human cells. A resin material with a low rate is desirable. For example, it is desirable that the resin material has almost no transmittance of UVC waves on the wavelength side longer than 230 nm (for example, the transmittance is 5% or less, more preferably 1% or less).
Therefore, when the transmittance of UVC waves was verified, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), which are highly resistant to UV deterioration, have a transmittance of several percent to several tens of percent of UVC waves at a predetermined thickness. It can be confirmed that there is a degree. Therefore, with this resin material, harmful light may leak through the housing, and if there is a concern in use, it is necessary to take a separate light-shielding measure.
On the other hand, it was confirmed that when polyetherimide (PEI) was used as the material of the housing, the transmission of UVC waves could be suppressed quite effectively. FIG. 3 shows the results of measuring the UV-VIS transmittance with respect to a plate-shaped polyetherimide material having a thickness of 1 mm. As can be seen from FIG. 3, it can be understood that light having a wavelength of 400 nm or less is hardly transmitted.
From the above viewpoint, it can be said that it is most desirable to use polyetherimide (PEI) as the housing material.
The
The
In FIG. 2, the
The
Bromine (Br) can also be used as the halogen. In the case of a KrBr excimer lamp, the central wavelength of the obtained synchrotron radiation is 207 nm.

As described above, an optical filter can be provided in the
As the wavelength selection filter, for example, an optical filter having a dielectric multilayer film composed of two layers of HfO and two layers of SiO can be used.
As the wavelength selection filter, an optical filter having a dielectric multilayer film composed of two layers of SiO and three layers of Al2O can also be used.
However, when an optical filter having a dielectric multilayer film consisting of two HfO layers and two layers of SiO was used as the wavelength selection filter , an optical filter having a dielectric multilayer film consisting of two layers of SiO and two layers of Al2O was used. Compared with the case, the total number of layers can be reduced. Therefore, it is possible to increase the transmittance of ultraviolet rays when the incident angle is 0 °.
By providing the optical filter in the light emitting window in this way, even if a small amount of light harmful to humans is emitted from the
The
Specifically, the

As described above, the
Specifically, the first connection member is electrically connected to the
As described above, the
When the synchrotron radiation from the
Further, the

Further, the quartz glass constituting the
On the other hand, the
At this time, if the excimer lamp and the power supply unit are arranged in the same space (including a space communicating with each other), the excimer lamp is cooled by the cooling mechanism for cooling the power supply unit. When the excimer lamp is supercooled, the quartz glass constituting the discharge container tends to be distorted by ultraviolet rays.
On the other hand, in the present embodiment, since the

As described above, the
