Abstract
Description
Fe2O3とFe3O4の組合せを含む鉄鉱石を分析して、汚染物質を識別した。結果は以下の通りである。
2軸式ミキサー内で粒子状鉄鉱石に対して粉末としてグアーガムを添加し、高速で混合した。次に混合しながらケイ酸ナトリウムを添加した。均質の混合物がひとたび形成された時点で、混合バッチを、真空(−600〜−1000mbar)下でEdwards and Jones押出機を用いて押出し加工して、高密度に凝集された16mmのペレットを得た。ペレットを、試験に先立ち、30℃で24時間放置して硬化させた。
試験ペレットを、圧縮強度、耐衝撃性および還元中の焼結劣化について比較した。試験は全て、英国規格協会の試験指針にしたがって遂行した。
グアーガムが欠如している場合、加工が有意なほどにより困難であり、押出機の閉塞または過負荷が頻繁に発生することが観察された。
図1は、粉砕に至るまで繰返し落下させた場合のケイ酸塩含有ペレットと非ケイ酸塩含有ペレットの間の比較を示す。時間の経過につれて、ケイ酸塩含有ペレットは、ペレットを粉砕するのに必要な落下回数の顕著な増加を示し、非ケイ酸塩含有ペレットに比べてより優れた生強度を示している。具体的には、400分後、非ケイ酸塩含有ペレットは、生産直後(t=0)の2回に対して平均3回の落下にしか耐え抜くことができない。比較すると、ちょうど350分後にケイ酸塩含有ペレットが耐え抜いた平均落下回数は、生産直後の3回に対し、6回である。
Claims (14)
- 鉄鉱石ペレット用のバインダー配合物であって、1種以上のケイ酸塩および加工助剤を含む配合物。
- 前記ケイ酸塩がI族またはII族ケイ酸塩を含む、請求項1に記載の配合物。
- 前記ケイ酸塩がケイ酸ナトリウムを含む、請求項1または2に記載の配合物。
- 前記ケイ酸塩が前記配合物の75〜95重量%の範囲内で存在する、請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の配合物。
- 前記加工助剤が、多糖類、セルロース系増粘剤およびそれらの組合せの中から選択された添加剤を含む、請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の配合物。
- 前記多糖類および/またはセルロース系増粘剤が、グアーガム、アラビアゴム、キサンタンガム、でんぷん、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、メチルセルロース、メチルヒドロキシエチルセルロースおよびそれらの組合せの中から選択される、請求項5に記載の配合物。
- 前記加工助剤が、前記配合物の5〜25重量%の範囲内で前記配合物中に存在する、請求項1ないし6のいずれか1項に記載の配合物。
- さらに硬化剤を含む、請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項に記載の配合物。
- 前記硬化剤が、グリセロールトリアセテート、グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、ヒュームドシリカ、カリウム・メチルシリコネートおよびそれらの組合せの中から選択される、請求項8に記載の配合物。
- 請求項1ないし9のいずれか1項に記載のバインダー配合物を含む鉄鉱石ペレット。
- 1〜10重量%の範囲内のケイ酸塩を含む、請求項10に記載のペレット。
- 0.1〜2重量%の範囲内の加工助剤を含む、請求項10または11に記載のペレット。
- 鉄鉱石ペレットを生産する方法であって:
a. 請求項1ないし9のいずれか1項に記載のバインダー配合物を粒子状鉄鉱石と混合することと;
b. ペレットを形成することと;
を含む方法。 - ペレットが、押出し加工、パンペレット化およびブリケット化の中から選択された方法を用いて形成される、請求項13に記載の方法。
