Description
本発明は、ブロー成形容器およびそれを作製する方法に関する。
制御および/または規制されなければならない環境で保管、出荷、および/または利用されることが好ましい品物が多くある。例えば、水分制御分野では、その中に閉じ込められた過剰な水分を吸収する能力を有する容器および/またはパッケージが望ましいと認識されている。水分、酸素、エチレン、および他の気体物質の制御は、医療、診断、工業化学、研究室、電子機器、および食品包装の用途において望ましい場合がある。
本明細書で使用される場合、「活性」という用語は、本発明に従い、選択された材料(例えば、水分または酸素)に作用、相互作用、または反応することができるものとして定義される。このような作用または相互作用の例として、選択された材料の吸収、吸着、または放出が挙げられ得る。
図1〜4は、本発明による、例示的な同伴ポリマー10および同伴ポリマーから形成された様々なパッケージアセンブリを示す。同伴ポリマー10は各々、ベースポリマー25、チャネリング剤35、および活性剤30を含む。図示するように、チャネリング剤35は、同伴ポリマー10を通して相互連結チャネル45を形成する。活性剤30の少なくともいくつかは、チャネル45が活性剤30と同伴ポリマー10の外側との間を、同伴ポリマー25の外面に形成されたチャネル開口部48を介して連通するように、これらのチャネル45内に含有される。活性剤30は、例えば、以下にさらに詳細に記載される、様々な吸収、吸着、または放出材料のうちのいずれか1つであり得る。
Claims (15)
- ブロー成形工程によって形成された容器、任意選択でボトルであって、前記容器が、
底部と、
前記底部から延在する側壁であって、前記底部および前記側壁が、少なくとも1つの製品を収容するように構成されている内部を画定する、側壁と、を備え、
前記側壁および前記底部のうちの少なくとも1つが、バリア層および前記バリア層に付着した乾燥剤層を有し、前記バリア層および前記乾燥剤層が各々、一緒にブロー成形され、前記バリア層が、前記乾燥剤層に対して外側に配置され、かつプラスチック材料から作製され、前記乾燥剤層が、ベースポリマー、乾燥剤、およびチャネリング剤の混合物を含むモノリシック組成物から作製され、前記容器が、重力下でその成形された形状を保持している、容器。 - 前記バリア層および前記乾燥剤層の各々が、少なくとも20ミル、任意選択で20〜40ミル、任意選択で25〜35ミルの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 前記乾燥剤層が、30%〜80%のモレキュラーシーブ、任意選択で30%〜60%のモレキュラーシーブ、任意選択で35%〜55%のモレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の容器。
- 前記チャネリング剤が、前記モノリシック組成物の2重量%〜15重量%、任意選択で5重量%〜10重量%である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記乾燥剤層が、前記チャネリング剤によって形成された相互連結チャネルを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記バリア層が、非多孔質構造を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記乾燥剤が、モレキュラーシーブである、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記乾燥剤層中の前記ベースポリマーに対する前記乾燥剤の比率が、1重量部の前記ベースポリマーに対して約2重量部の前記乾燥剤である、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記側壁および前記底部のうちの前記少なくとも1つが、前記乾燥剤層に付着したスキン層をさらに有し、前記バリア層、前記乾燥剤層、および前記スキン層が各々、一緒にブロー成形され、前記バリア層および前記乾燥剤層が各々、前記スキン層に対して外側に配置される、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記スキン層が、プラスチック材料から作製される、請求項9に記載の容器。
- 前記スキン層が、低密度ポリエチレンから作製される、請求項10に記載の容器。
- 前記側壁および前記底部のうちの前記少なくとも1つが、前記バリア層と前記乾燥剤層との間に配置された中間層をさらに有する、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 前記中間層が、プラスチック材料と、ベースポリマー、乾燥剤、およびチャネリング剤の混合物とを含むモノリシック組成物から作製される、請求項12に記載の容器。
- 前記チャネリング剤が、EVAである、請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
- 容器を製造する方法であって、前記容器が、底部と、前記底部から延在する側壁と、を備え、前記底部および前記側壁が、少なくとも1つの製品を収容するように構成されている内部を画定し、前記方法が、
