Abstract
Description
Claims (30)
- 2次元および/または3次元のシーンを表現するための表示装置であって、
十分にコヒーレントな光を放射するための少なくとも1つの照射装置と、
ホログラムが単一視差符号化によって符号化される少なくとも1つの空間光変調装置と、
オブザーバの目の位置に少なくとも1つの仮想可視領域を生成するために提供される少なくとも1つの光学システムと、
前記空間光変調装置上のホログラムの符号化方向が変更可能であるトラッキング装置と、
を含む表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの仮想可視領域は仮想オブザーバウィンドウとスイートスポットとから形成され、前記仮想オブザーバウィンドウは前記ホログラムの前記符号化方向に設けられ、前記スイートスポットは前記ホログラムの前記非符号化方向に設けられることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1または2に記載の表示装置であって、前記ホログラムの前記符号化方向は、少なくとも2つの方向の間で変更可能であることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記シーンのオブザーバの目、特に目の瞳孔の位置を判定することができる少なくとも1つの位置検出システムが設けられることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記トラッキング装置は、前記少なくとも1つの照射装置と、前記シーンのオブザーバが位置するオブザーバ面との間に配置される少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項5に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子は偏光スイッチとして設計され、前記トラッキング装置は少なくとも1つの受動偏向格子素子、好ましくは偏光格子素子、および1つの方向のみに入射光を散乱する少なくとも2つの受動散乱素子を備え、前記受動偏向格子素子および前記少なくとも2つの受動散乱素子は前記偏光スイッチと組み合わせて動作することを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項6に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも2つの受動散乱素子が体積格子として設計され、前記少なくとも2つの受動散乱素子が異なる角度選択性を有することを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項5に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子が偏光スイッチとして設計され、前記トラッキング装置が少なくとも1つのリダイレクト素子、好ましくは偏光ビームスプリッタ素子、およびそれぞれの場合に入射光を一方向のみに散乱させる少なくとも2つの受動散乱素子とを含み、少なくとも2つの異なる光路のうちの1つが、前記制御可能な光学素子および前記リダイレクト素子によって選択可能であり、散乱素子が、それぞれの場合に前記異なる光路のそれぞれに設けられることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記トラッキング装置は、回転するように設計された受動散乱素子を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記トラッキング装置が少なくとも2つの制御可能な光学素子を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項5または10に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子または前記少なくとも2つの制御可能な光学素子は散乱素子として設計され、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子は一方向のみに入射光を散乱させ、前記少なくとも2つの制御可能な光学素子はそれぞれの場合に異なる方向に入射光を散乱させることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項10または11に記載の表示装置であって、第1の制御可能な光学素子が入射光を所定の第1の方向に散乱させ、第2の制御可能な光学素子が光を所定の第2の方向に散乱させ、前記第1の方向と前記第2の方向とが異なることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項12に記載の表示装置であって、前記ホログラムの前記符号化方向は、前記第1の制御可能な光学素子および前記第2の制御可能な光学素子の対応する制御によって規定可能であることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から13のいずれか1項に記載された表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子が、液晶層が埋め込まれた2つの基板を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項14に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子の少なくとも1つの基板が、一次元表面構造を有することを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項15に記載の表示装置であって、前記表面構造は、前記基板上の位置によってランダムに変化する格子周期を有することを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項14から16のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子の基板はそれぞれの場合において、電極配置を備え、前記それぞれの電極配置は少なくとも1つの電極を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項15から17のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記表面構造を有する前記基板の反対側に位置する前記基板は、前記液晶層における液晶の配向のために設けられることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項15から18のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記液晶層の液晶材料が第1の屈折率および第2の屈折率を有し、前記第1の屈折率が前記表面構造の屈折率に本質的に対応し、前記第2の屈折率が前記表面構造の屈折率と本質的に異なることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項15から19のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、少なくとも1つの基板が一次元表面構造を有する複数の制御可能な光学素子が存在する場合、これらの制御可能な光学素子は、それぞれの場合に少なくとも1つの基板上に設けられる個々の制御可能な光学素子の一次元表面構造が互いに異なる向きを有するように、ビーム経路内に配置されることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項20に記載の表示装置であって、前記制御可能な光学素子の表面構造が、互いに対して約90°の角度で配置されることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から21のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、少なくとも1つの偏光素子が、光伝播方向において少なくとも1つの制御可能な光学素子の上流に設けられていることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記トラッキング装置は、回折次数を排除するために設けられたフィルタ装置として設計されることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項23に記載の表示装置であって、前記フィルタ装置は、制御可能に設計されていることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記少なくとも1つの照射装置の少なくとも1つの光源は前記トラッキング装置として設計され、前記少なくとも1つの光源は放射される光のコヒーレンス特性を修正するために制御可能に設計されることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から25のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置であって、前記表示装置はホログラフィック表示装置として設計されることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 請求項1から26のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置を、オブザーバの左眼用およびオブザーバの右眼用に備えるヘッドマウントディスプレイ。
- 十分にコヒーレントな光を放射するための少なくとも1つの照射装置と、少なくとも1つの空間光変調装置と、少なくとも1つの光学システムと、トラッキング装置と、位置検出システムと、によって2次元および/または3次元シーンを表すための方法であって、
前記位置検出システムはオブザーバの目の位置を判定し、
前記少なくとも1つの空間光変調装置上のホログラムの適切な符号化方向は、前記少なくとも1つの光学システムおよび前記トラッキング装置によって判定され、
ホログラムは単一視差符号化によって、前記少なくとも1つの空間光変調装置への判定された符号化方向に符号化され、
前記少なくとも1つの空間光変調装置は前記少なくとも1つの照射装置によって照射され、前記ホログラムは前記少なくとも1つの光学システムによって再構成され、少なくとも1つの仮想可視領域はオブザーバの目の位置において生成される方法。 - 請求項28に記載の方法であって、前記オブザーバの眼の瞳孔との重なりの最大比例エリアを有する前記仮想可視領域における前記符号化方向が、符号化されるべき前記ホログラムに対して選択されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項29に記載の方法であって、前記オブザーバの目の位置が変化した場合、前記位置検出システムにより前記新しい目の位置が判定され、前記ホログラムのための適切な符号化方向を選択するために、前記仮想可視領域がその固定中心点を中心に回転され、前記仮想可視領域が、前記オブザーバの前記目の瞳孔の領域と重なり比例エリアが最も大きい方向が判定されることを特徴とする方法。
