Abstract

Claims (14)
- エアロゾル送達デバイスであって、
ハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内にある微小電気機械システムベース(MEMSベース)センサであって、前記ハウジングの少なくとも一部を通る空気流によって引き起こされる前記MEMSベースセンサ上の圧力を検出するように構成され、前記圧力を電気信号に変換し、前記電気信号を出力するように構成された、MEMSベースセンサと、
前記MEMSベースセンサから前記電気信号を受信し、それに基づいて前記エアロゾル送達デバイスの少なくとも1つの機能要素の動作を制御するように構成されたマイクロプロセッサと、を備える、エアロゾル送達デバイス。 - 前記MEMSベースセンサを、前記圧力を変換するように構成することが、前記圧力を、前記MEMSベースセンサ上の周囲圧力に対する前記圧力の対応する変動と共に変動する前記電気信号に変換するように構成することを含み、前記対応する変動は、前記空気流の変動によって引き起こされる、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達デバイス。
- 前記圧力の前記対応する変動は、前記空気流の速度の変動によって引き起こされる、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達デバイス。
- 前記MEMSベースセンサが、MEMSマイクロホンであり、前記MEMSマイクロホンが、
可変キャパシタを形成する微細加工された圧力感知ダイヤフラムと背面板とを有するダイを含み、
前記可変キャパシタに入力電圧が印加された場合、前記圧力が、前記ダイヤフラムの動き及びそれによる前記可変キャパシタの静電容量の変化を引き起こし、静電容量の前記変化が、前記可変キャパシタの両端の出力電圧の変化を引き起こし、前記出力電圧またはそのデジタル表現が、前記電気信号として前記MEMSマイクロホンによって出力される、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達デバイス。 - 前記MEMSマイクロホンが、前記ダイに結合され、前記可変キャパシタを前記入力電圧でバイアスするように構成されるバイアス発生器回路を含む、別のダイワイヤをさらに備える、請求項4に記載のエアロゾル送達デバイス。
- 前記MEMSベースセンサが、MEMS圧力センサであり、前記MEMS圧力センサが、
微細加工された圧力感知ダイヤフラムと、前記ダイヤフラム上に配設された1つ以上のピエゾ抵抗器とを有するダイを含み、
入力電圧が前記1つ以上のピエゾ抵抗器に印加された場合、前記圧力が、前記ダイヤフラムの動き及びそれによる前記1つ以上のピエゾ抵抗器の抵抗の変化を引き起こし、抵抗の前記変化が、前記1つ以上のピエゾ抵抗器の両端の出力電圧の変化を引き起こし、前記出力電圧またはそのデジタル表現が、前記MEMS圧力センサによって前記電気信号として出力される、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達デバイス。 - 前記MEMS圧力センサが、前記ダイに結合され、前記1つ以上のピエゾ抵抗器を前記入力電圧でバイアスするように構成されたバイアス発生器回路を含む、別のダイワイヤをさらに備える、請求項6に記載のエアロゾル送達デバイス。
