近位部分、遠位部分、及び前記近位部分と前記遠位部分との間に延在する第1の内腔を有する前記可撓性細長部材であって、前記ハウジングが、前記近位部分に結合される、前記可撓性細長部材、及び
前記超音波アセンブリに音響結合され、前記超音波エネルギを受けるように構成された近位部分、及び前記第1の内腔内に延在し、前記超音波エネルギを身体に送信するように構成された近位部分を有する音響送信部材、

前記超音波アセンブリを作動することにより前記患者の身体に治療を適用するステップと、
