Abstract
Description
− バインダー組成物を適用するまで安定である水中油型エマルションの防塵剤を提供する必要があるということ、及び
− バインダー組成物の噴霧時に、このエマルションが急激に不安定となり、バインダー層の表面に油の層を形成するようになる必要があるということ。
− 以下を含有する水性バインダー組成物を、ミネラルウールファイバーに適用すること、
(a)還元糖、非還元糖、水素化糖、及びこれらの混合物から選択された少なくとも一つの炭水化物、及び
(b)一つ又は複数の上記炭水化物を架橋するための少なくとも一つの架橋剤、
− 上記バインダー組成物の溶媒相を蒸発させること、及び
− 上記組成物の非揮発性画分を熱硬化すること、
ここで、この方法は、水、鉱油、及び少なくとも一つの界面活性剤、好ましくは少なくとも一つの非イオン性界面活性剤を含む、多糖を含まない水中油型エマルションを、好ましくは上記ミネラルウールファイバーへの上記バインダー組成物の適用の直前に、上記バインダー組成物に添加し、レーザー回折粒径分析によって測定した上記水中油型エマルションの油滴の平均直径が、5μmよりも大きく、好ましくは10μm〜400μmであることを特徴とする。
(1)バインダー組成物を、以下に防塵エマルションと呼ぶ水中油型エマルションと混合すること、
(2)好ましくは噴霧(バインダー組成物の空中への分散)によって、得られた混合物をミネラルファイバーに適用すること、
(3)バインダー組成物と防塵エマルションとの混合物の揮発性相(主に水)を蒸発させること、及び
(4)高温で、一般的には少なくとも200℃に等しい温度で、非揮発性画分を熱硬化すること。
− 脂肪酸のエステル、特に脂肪酸のポリアルコキシル化誘導体、
− 脂肪アルコールのエーテル、特に脂肪アルコールのポリアルコキシル化誘導体、
− 例えば、グリセロール又はトリメチロールプロパンのポリアルコキシル化誘導体のような、ポリオールのポリアルコキシル化誘導体、
− ポリ(エチレンオキシド)及びポリ(プロピレンオキシド)のブロック共重合体、特に、中央のポリ(プロピレンオキシド)ブロック及び2つのポリ(エチレンオキシド)ブロックを含むトリブロック共重合体であるポロキサマー。
− 所与の鉱油に対して、せん断応力が高くなればなるほど、小滴はより小さくなる;つまり、小滴の直径を増大することを望む場合は、分散機具の回転速度を下げることが必要である;
− 所与のせん断応力に対して、油がより粘稠になればなるほど、小滴の直径はより大きくなる;つまり、小滴の直径を低減することを望む場合は、したがって、より低い粘性の油を選択することが望ましい。
0〜2重量部のシラン、特にアミノシラン、
0.1〜3重量部のポリオルガノシロキサン、好ましくはポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)、
0〜20重量部の、水素化糖とは異なるポリオール、
0〜30重量部、好ましくは0〜20重量部の尿素、
0〜30重量部の、リグニンスルホン酸アンモニウム(LSA)又はリグニンスルホン酸ナトリウムのようなリグニンの誘導体、及び動物又は植物のタンパク質から選択される増量充填剤(増量剤)。
48重量部のMaltilite(登録商標) 5575(マルチトールシロップ)、52重量部のクエン酸、及び5重量部の次亜リン酸ナトリウムを含むバインダー組成物を調製した。
Pluronic F−127(プロピレンオキシドとエチレンオキシドとのトリブロックコポリマー)を、約50℃の温度に加熱し、かつこの界面活性剤が完全に溶解するまで約20時間攪拌することによって、10リットルの水に完全に溶解させた。次に、この水溶液4.8kgに、20℃で2300mm2/sの動粘度(ISO 3104)、40℃で500mm2/sの動粘度(ISO 3104)、及び300℃の引火点(ISO 2592)を有する鉱油5.5リットルを添加した。次いで、S50N−G45G分散機具を備えたUltra−Turrax(登録商標) T50分散機にこの混合物を導入し、このUltra−Turraxを、10000rpmの速度で2分間操作した。
SASOL社が販売しているHydroWax(登録商標) 88を、比較の防塵エマルションとして使用した。このエマルションは、40℃で500mm2/sの動粘度及び280℃を超える引火点を有する高粘度の鉱油を約52〜53重量%含んでいる。製造業者が提供する情報によれば、このエマルションは、アニオン性界面活性剤によって安定化される。Metasizer 2000でのレーザー回折粒径分析によって測定した油滴の平均直径は、1.8μmであった。
グラスウールを内部の遠心技術によって製造した。この技術では、溶融したガラス組成物を、「遠心スピナー」として知られる工具を用いてファイバーに変換する。遠心スピナーは、溶融した組成物を受け取るためのチャンバーを形成するバスケットと、多数の孔が貫通した周囲バンドとを含む。すなわち、スピナーは、その垂直な対称軸の周りを回転し、遠心力の作用の下で組成物が孔から放出され、この孔から抜け出た材料が減衰ガス流を利用して細くなり、ファイバーになる。
本発明による水中油型エマルションの防塵効果を、社内装置を利用して評価した。グラスウールの20cm×30cmの試料をフレームに固定し、試料の少なくとも一つの主面をフリーの状態にした。連結式アームに固定した、試料の寸法よりもわずかに小さい寸法を有する孔の開いたプレートで、試料のこのフリーの面をたたいた。光学装置で放出された粒子の数を数えた。
Claims (15)
- 以下を含む、ミネラルウールをベースとした断熱製品を製造するための方法:
− 以下を含有するバインダー組成物を、ミネラルウールファイバーに適用すること、
(a)還元糖、非還元糖、水素化糖、及びこれらの混合物から選択された少なくとも一つの炭水化物、及び
(b)一つ又は複数の前記炭水化物を架橋するための少なくとも一つの架橋剤、
− 前記バインダー組成物の溶媒相を蒸発させること、及び
− 前記組成物の非揮発性画分を熱硬化すること、
ここで、前記方法は、水、鉱油、及び鉱油100重量部当たり0.5〜5.0重量部の少なくとも一つの界面活性剤、好ましくは少なくとも一つの非イオン性界面活性剤を含む、多糖を含まない水中油型エマルションを、好ましくは前記ミネラルウールファイバーへの前記バインダー組成物の前記適用の直前に、前記バインダー組成物に添加し、レーザー回折粒径分析によって測定した前記水中油型エマルションの油滴の平均直径が、5μmよりも大きいことを特徴とする。 - 前記架橋剤が、ポリカルボン酸、ポリカルボン酸の塩及び無水物、鉱酸の金属塩、並びに鉱酸のアミン塩及びアンモニウム塩から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記架橋剤が、ポリカルボン酸、好ましくはポリカルボン酸モノマーから選択される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記炭水化物中の水素化糖の割合が25重量%〜100重量%である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記バインダー組成物が、成分(a)+(b)の100重量部に対して、0.1〜3重量部のポリオルガノシロキサン、好ましくはポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)をさらに含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオルガノシロキサンが、前記バインダー組成物の成分(a)又は(b)と反応することができる官能基を有する、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記鉱油が、20℃で、100〜6000mm2/s、好ましくは1000〜5000mm2/sの動粘度を有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水中油型エマルションの前記鉱油の油滴の平均直径が、10μm〜400μm、好ましくは20μm〜300μm、より好ましくは40μm〜200μmである、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水中油型エマルションが、室温で水溶性である有機ポリマーを含まない、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水中油型エマルションが、鉱油100重量部当たり1.2〜3重量部の非イオン性界面活性剤を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ミネラルウールファイバーへの前記バインダー組成物の前記適用を、複数のノズルを有する噴霧リングを用いて行い、かつ前記噴霧リングに供給する前記バインダー組成物の流れに、前記水中油型エマルションの流れを投入することによって、前記水中油型エマルションを前記バインダー組成物に導入する、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記バインダー組成物を含有するタンクに、前記水中油型エマルションを添加し、かつ得られた混合物を前記油滴が均一に分布するまで混合する、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ミネラルウールファイバーに適用された前記鉱油の量が、前記ミネラルウールファイバーの重量に対して、0.1〜2.0重量%、好ましくは0.2〜1.0重量%、特に0.3〜0.8重量%である、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水素化糖が、単糖、二糖、オリゴ糖、及び多糖、並びにこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水素化糖が、デンプン加水分解物の水素化生成物である、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
