Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- エアロゾル送達システムであって、
エアロゾル発生器を備え、前記エアロゾル発生器は、
ハウジング入口およびハウジング出口を有するチャンバを画定するハウジングと、
前記ハウジングに動作可能に連結され、開口部を画定する支持板と、
前記開口部を横断して配置されるように、前記支持板に動作可能に連結された振動可能な部材と、
前記支持板に連結された圧電アクチュエータであって、前記圧電アクチュエータは、伸縮して、流体をエアロゾル化する前記振動可能な部材を振動させる、前記圧電アクチュエータと、
前記振動可能な部材に流体を送達するように構成されるように前記振動可能な部材から離間した遠位端を有する流体導管であって、前記流体導管の遠位端は、前記振動可能な部材の振動によって流体がエアロゾル化されるまで、前記ハウジングの向きに関係なく、表面張力を使用して、送達された流体の実質的にすべてが前記振動可能な部材に付着することを可能にするように前記振動可能な部材から約1.0mmから約0.001mmに配置されている、前記流体導管とを含む、エアロゾル送達システム。 - 前記ハウジングは、流体チャンバに流体的に連結された通気孔を画定し、前記通気孔は、前記ハウジングからガス、液体、および泡沫のうちの少なくとも1つを通気するように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体導管がコネクタ導管を含み、前記流体導管が流体源と連結する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コネクタ導管は、前記ハウジング入口を通過し、流体チャンバ内にある、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体導管が、流体を前記振動可能な部材に供給するのに使用可能な前記ハウジング内の複数の流体導管のうちの1つを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハウジングと前記支持板との間をシールする第1のシールを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハウジングと前記支持板との間をシールする第2のシールを備え、前記第1および第2のシールは、前記支持板の両側に対してシールする、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハウジングは、互いに連結する第1の部分と第2の部分とを備え、前記第1の部分は前記ハウジング入口を形成し、前記第2の部分は前記ハウジング出口を形成する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記振動可能な部材および前記支持板が一体である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体導管を介した前記振動可能な部材への流体の送達を制御するように構成されたコントローラを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- エアロゾル送達システムであって、
エアロゾル発生器を備え、前記エアロゾル発生器は、
ハウジング入口およびハウジング出口と流体連通する流体チャンバを画定するハウジングと、
前記ハウジングに連結され、前記ハウジング出口と流体連通する開口部を画定する支持板と、
前記開口部の周りで前記支持板に連結された振動可能な部材と、
前記支持板に連結された圧電アクチュエータであって、前記圧電アクチュエータは、伸縮して、流体をエアロゾル化する前記振動可能な部材を振動させる、前記圧電アクチュエータと、
流体を前記振動可能な部材に送達する複数の導管とを含む、エアロゾル送達システム。 - 前記複数の導管がマニホールド内に含まれる、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の導管の少なくとも1つの導管が、残りの導管とサイズが異なる、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の導管のうちの少なくとも1つが角度付き出口を含む、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記角度付き出口は、前記角度付き出口の下方に配置された前記振動可能な部材の表面の一部を模造するように形成されている、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 複数の導管の各々の遠位先端は、流体が表面張力によって表面に付着するように、前記振動可能な部材の表面から約0.001mmおよび1mmの間だけ離間している、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 流体をエアロゾル化する方法であって、
流体導管の遠位端からエアロゾル発生器のハウジングのチャンバ内の振動可能な部材の表面に、ある量または用量の流体を供給するステップであって、前記流体導管の遠位端は、表面張力により液体が表面に付着するように、約0.001mmおよび1mmの間だけ前記振動可能な部材の表面から離間して配置される、前記供給するステップと、
圧電アクチュエータを作動させて前記振動可能な部材を振動させて流体をエアロゾルに変換するステップと、
前記圧電アクチュエータによって前記振動可能な部材を振動させて、前記振動可能な部材上の実質的にすべての流体を用量間でエアロゾル化する間、前記振動可能な部材への流体の流れを停止するステップとを含む方法。 - ある量の流体を供給するステップは、前記圧電アクチュエータが振動するときに、流体を前記振動可能な部材の表面に圧送することを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- ある量の流体を供給するステップは、前記圧電アクチュエータが振動する前に、前記振動可能な部材の表面に流体を事前充填することを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- ある量の流体を供給するステップは、前記圧電アクチュエータが振動する前にある量の流体の一部を前記振動可能な部材の表面に事前充填し、ある量の流体の残りを前記圧電アクチュエータが振動するときに前記振動可能な部材の表面に圧送することを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
