Description
ガス発生器100は、長尺略円柱状の外形を有しており、ハウジング10と、ハウジング10の一方の開口端に取付けられているホルダ20と、ハウジング10の他方の開口端を閉塞するようにハウジング10の他端部に取付けられている閉塞部材40と、を含んでいる。
本実施の形態によれば、一部が開裂可能な部位となって、その他の部位が固定されたままとなる破裂板11bを有した仕切部材11を備えているガス発生器100を提供できる。したがって、ガス発生器100に係る破裂板11bは、破裂して破片が発生する状態にならないようにすることができる。この結果として、ガス発生器100によれば、作動時において、エアバッグにダメージを及ぼさないものとすることができる。

Claims (4)
- 加圧ガスが一部に封入されている筒状のハウジングと、前記加圧ガスを封入するために前記ハウジングの途中を仕切るように設けられた仕切部材と、前記ハウジングの他端部側の開口部を閉塞するように設けられ、前記仕切部材に向かって点火可能な点火器を保持しているホルダと、を備えたガス発生器であって、
前記仕切部材は、仕切った前記ハウジング内を連通させる連通孔と、前記連通孔を閉塞し、所定の圧力または熱量を受けることによって一部が開裂可能な部位となっている破裂板とを有しており、
前記破裂板の開裂可能な部位以外の部位の厚みが、前記破裂板の開裂可能な部位よりも厚く形成されていることを特徴とするガス発生器。 - 前記破裂板は、前記仕切部材に、レーザー溶接、摩擦圧接、または抵抗溶接によって固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記破裂板の開裂可能な部位と、前記破裂板の開裂可能な部位以外のその他の部位とがそれぞれ複数ある場合において、
前記破裂板の開裂可能な部位と、前記破裂板の開裂可能な部位以外のその他の部位とは、前記仕切部材の中心に対して略対称に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のガス発生器。 - 前記破裂板は、前記仕切部材の加圧ガス室側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器。
