Abstract
Description
1.1 表示装置
図1は、実施の形態1の表示装置を模式的に図示する断面図である。
表示パネル10は、図1に図示されるように、液晶セル100、第1の偏光板101及び第2の偏光板102を備える。
バリアパネル11は、図1に図示されるように、紫外線導光板130、膜131及び紫外線光源132を備える。
紫外線光源132は、バリアパネル11に入力された制御信号にしたがって消灯及び点灯する。
実施の形態1の発明によれば、表示パネル10と可視光線を遮るバリアとなる膜131との間の要素を減らすことができる。例えば、ガラス板、偏光板等を省略することができる。このため、バリアを表示パネル10に近づけることができる。これにより、視野角を広い視野角と狭い視野角との間で切り替えることができ、視野角を狭い視野角に切り替えた場合に視野角が過剰に狭くなることを抑制することができる表示装置1を提供することができる。
図2は、実施の形態2の表示装置を模式的に図示する断面図である。
図3は、実施の形態3の表示装置を模式的に図示する断面図である。
図4は、実施の形態4の表示装置を模式的に図示する断面図である。
図5は、実施の形態5の自動車を模式的に図示する平面図である。
Claims (6)
- 画素を備える表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルに重ね合わされ、前記画素が配置される側にある第1の主面、前記画素が配置される側と反対の側にある第2の主面、及び端面を有する紫外線導光板と、
前記第1の主面上に配置され、前記画素を通り第1の方向に向かう光路上に配置される開口を有し、前記画素を通り前記第1の方向と異なる第2の方向に向かう光路上に配置される非開口部分を備え、フォトクロミック感光物質からなる膜と、
前記端面に紫外線を照射する紫外線光源と、
を備える表示装置。 - 前記画素は、第1の画素であり、
前記表示パネルは、第2の画素をさらに備え、
前記開口は、前記第2の画素を通り前記第2の方向に向かう光路上に配置され、
前記非開口部分は、前記第2の画素を通り前記第1の方向に向かう光路上に配置される
請求項1の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは、液晶表示パネルであり、液晶セルと、前記液晶セルに重ね合わされる偏光板と、を備え、
前記紫外線導光板及び前記膜は、前記液晶セルと前記偏光板とに挟まれる
請求項1又は2の表示装置。 - 前記膜に重ねて前記第1の主面上に配置される第1の紫外線吸収層と、前記第2の主面上に配置される第2の紫外線吸収層と、をさらに備える
請求項1から3までのいずれかの表示装置。 - 前記紫外線光源は、前記端面の第1の領域に紫外線を照射し、
前記端面の前記第1の領域と異なる第2の領域上に配置される紫外線反射膜をさらに備える

前記第1の方向は、前記表示装置から前記運転席及び前記助手席の一方に向かう方向であり、
