Abstract
Description
図1は、本実施形態における光電変換モジュールを用いた電子機器の一例を表す図である。電子機器は例えば表示装置であって、フラットパネルディスプレイ1と制御ユニット2とを含み得る。フラットパネルディスプレイ1および制御ユニット2は、それぞれ本実施形態における光電変換モジュールを備え、光ファイバ3によって互いに接続される。光ファイバ3は、屈折率の高い石英ガラスまたは樹脂などのコア材と、コア材の周囲を覆うとともに屈折率の低いクラッドとを備える。なお、図1において、フラットパネルディスプレイ1と制御ユニット2とはそれぞれ別の筐体内に設けられているが、同一の筐体内に設けられていてもよい。
続いて、本実施形態における光電変換モジュールについて説明する。以下の説明において、第1実施形態と異なる構成を中心に説明する。第1実施形態と同様の構成については、その説明を省略する。フラットパネルディスプレイ1の光電変換モジュール4を例に説明する。
続いて、本実施形態における光電変換モジュールについて説明する。以下の説明において、第1実施形態と異なる構成を中心に説明する。本実施形態においては、光電変換素子424は回路基板43上に実装されている。第1実施形態と同様の構成については、その説明を省略する。フラットパネルディスプレイ1の光電変換モジュール4を例に説明する。
続いて、本実施形態における光電変換モジュールについて説明する。以下の説明において、第1実施形態と異なる構成を中心に説明する。第1実施形態と同様の構成については、その説明を省略する。フラットパネルディスプレイ1の光電変換モジュール4を例に説明する。

Claims (9)
- 回路基板と、
前記回路基板の一の主面に実装された光電変換素子と、
光ファイバの端面と前記光電変換素子との間の光路に設けられた光学レンズとを備え、
前記光学レンズの一部は前記回路基板の前記主面に形成された凹部に嵌入されることを特徴とする光電変換モジュール。 - 前記光学レンズと前記光電変換素子との間の光路上に設けられた反射鏡をさらに備える請求項1に記載の光電変換モジュール。
- 前記反射鏡は前記回路基板の前記主面に対して平行な光信号を前記回路基板の前記主面に対して鉛直な方向に反射させ、
前記光電変換素子の受光面または発光面は前記回路基板の前記主面に平行に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光電変換モジュール。 - 前記光電変換素子の受光面または発光面は前記回路基板の前記主面に対して鉛直に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光電変換モジュール。
- 前記凹部は前記回路基板の前記主面から他の主面へ貫通する貫通孔である請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換モジュール。
- 前記光学レンズの一部は、前記回路基板の前記他の主面から突出していることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の光電変換モジュール。
- 前記凹部は前記回路基板の端部に形成された切り欠き部であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換モジュール。
- 前記凹部は前記回路基板の金属層に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換モジュール。
- 前記光学レンズはボールレンズであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の光電変換モジュール。
