Description
前記金属フィラメントを複数本で撚り合わせてなる1本以上のコアストランドと、前記金属フィラメントを複数本で撚り合わせてなる2本以上のシースストランドとからなり、該シースストランドが該コアストランドの周囲に撚り合わされてなる複撚り構造を有し、
前記コアストランドの加硫後における、軸方向に直交する方向の断面において、該コアストランドの最外層シース層を構成する各金属フィラメントの中心を結んで囲まれる領域のうち、前記金属フィラメント以外が占める領域を隙間領域としたとき、該隙間領域に対する、前記高分子材料の面積の割合である充填率が、52%以上120%以下であることを特徴とするものである。
図1に、本発明の一好適な実施の形態に係るエラストマー補強用コードの、加硫後における軸方向に直交する方向の断面図を示す。図示するように、本発明のエラストマー補強用コード10は、金属フィラメント1a,1bを複数本で撚り合わせてなる1本以上のコアストランド21と、金属フィラメント11a,11bを複数本で撚り合わせてなる2本以上のシースストランド22とからなり、シースストランド22がコアストランド21の周囲に撚り合わされてなる複撚り構造を有する。
線径0.34mmのスチールフィラメントと樹脂フィラメントとを撚り合わせて、スチール部分が3+9構造である実施例1,2のコアストランドを作製するとともに、樹脂フィラメントを用いない以外は同様にして、スチール部分が3+9構造である比較例1のコアストランドを作製する。また、線径0.34mmのスチールフィラメントを撚り合わせて、スチール部分が3+8構造または3+9構造である実施例1,2および比較例1のシースストランドを作製する。得られた各ストランドを用いて、下記の表中に示す条件に従い、1本のコアストランドの周囲に6本のシースストランドが撚り合わされた複撚り構造の未加硫コードを得る。樹脂フィラメントの線径は、下記の表中に示す条件に合わせて選択する。

Claims (6)
- 金属フィラメントと、高分子材料とからなるエラストマー補強用コードであって、
前記金属フィラメントを複数本で撚り合わせてなる1本以上のコアストランドと、前記金属フィラメントを複数本で撚り合わせてなる2本以上のシースストランドとからなり、該シースストランドが該コアストランドの周囲に撚り合わされてなる複撚り構造を有し、
前記コアストランドの加硫後における、軸方向に直交する方向の断面において、該コアストランドの最外層シース層を構成する各金属フィラメントの中心を結んで囲まれる領域のうち、前記金属フィラメント以外が占める領域を隙間領域としたとき、該隙間領域に対する、前記高分子材料の面積の割合である充填率が、52%以上120%以下であることを特徴とするエラストマー補強用コード。 - 前記高分子材料の融点または軟化点が80℃以上160℃以下である請求項1記載のエラストマー補強用コード。
- 前記高分子材料が、前記シースストランド内に含まれない請求項1または2記載のエラストマー補強用コード。
- 前記コアストランドの最外層シース層を構成する各金属フィラメント間の距離が、20μm以下である請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一項記載のエラストマー補強用コード。
- 前記シースストランドの最外層シース層を構成する各金属フィラメント間の距離が、20μmより大きい請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項記載のエラストマー補強用コード。
- 前記エラストマー補強用コードが、前記金属フィラメントと、前記高分子材料からなる樹脂フィラメントとを撚り合わせて形成される請求項1〜5のうちいずれか一項記載のエラストマー補強用コード。
