Abstract
Description
図2(a)は、交通情報8に含まれる項目を示す。交通情報8は、車両識別番号(VIN:Vehicle Identification Number)、走行した道路リンクID、道路リンク進入日時、走行した道路の渋滞度、平均車速などの項目を含む。車両5において、車載ナビゲーション装置が交通情報8を生成する。制御装置6は、所定の第1の周期で交通情報8をサーバ装置3に送信する。第1の周期は数分であってよい。送信される交通情報8には、前回の送信タイミング以降に通過した道路リンクに関する情報が含まれる。
(1)停止モード
ワイパーの作動スイッチがオフとされているモードである。停止モードで、ワイパーは作動しない。
(2)間欠モード
間欠モードで、ワイパーは一定の間隔をおいて作動する。間欠モードは弱い雨(小雨)のときに選択されることが多い。
(3)低速モード
低速モードで、ワイパーは低速で連続作動する。低速モードは、1時間における雨量が10mm以上20mm未満であるような、やや強い雨のときに選択されることが多い。
(4)高速モード
高速モードで、ワイパーは高速で連続作動する。高速モードは、1時間における雨量が20mm以上となる大きな強度の雨のときに選択されることが多い。
図3は、道路リンクを説明するための図である。一般的に、カーナビゲーション等に使用されるデジタル道路地図では、道路ネットワークが、道路の特徴点を表す「ノード」と、ノードを結んで道路の形状を表す「リンク」によって表現される。「リンク」は道路区間に相当する。
実施例1では、作動モードデータ収集部32が、所定期間内に所定の道路リンク上に位置する1以上の車両で取得されたワイパーの作動モードを示す作動モードデータを収集する。降水指標推定部48は、収集した作動モードデータから導出される複数種類の作動モードのそれぞれが占める割合にもとづいて、所定期間内の所定の道路リンクにおける降水の強さを表す降水指標を推定する。降水指標推定部48が、統計処理により求められる各作動モードの割合を利用することで、所定期間内の降水指標を高精度に推定できる。
図6は、各車両において取得された作動モードの数を種類ごとに集計した結果を示す。たとえば車両Aでは、4分の間、停止モード、間欠モード、低速モードを示す作動モードデータは取得されておらず、高速モードを示す作動モードデータが12回取得されている。

実施例2では、雨滴量データ収集部34が、所定期間内に所定の道路リンク上に位置する1以上の車両で雨滴量センサにより検出された雨滴量データを収集する。降水指標推定部48は、収集した雨滴量データにもとづいて、所定期間内の所定の道路リンクにおける降水の強さを表す降水指標を推定する。

- 所定期間内に所定の道路リンク上に位置する1以上の車両で取得されたワイパーの作動モードを示す作動モードデータを収集するデータ収集部と、
収集した作動モードデータから導出される複数種類の作動モードのそれぞれが占める割合にもとづいて、所定期間内の所定の道路リンクにおける降水の強さを表す降水指標を推定する推定処理部と、
を備えることを特徴とする降水指標推定装置。 - 前記推定処理部は、
収集した作動モードデータが示す作動モードの数を種類ごとに集計して、複数種類の作動モードのそれぞれが占める割合を導出する割合導出部を有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の降水指標推定装置。 - 前記推定処理部は、
車両ごとの作動モードを決定し、車両ごとの作動モードの数を種類ごとに集計して、複数種類の作動モードのそれぞれが占める割合を導出する割合導出部を有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の降水指標推定装置。 - 前記割合導出部は、車両において所定期間内に取得された作動モードデータの数が所定値未満である場合に、当該車両の作動モードを決定しない、

複数種類の作動モードのそれぞれが占める割合にもとづいて、ワイパーの作動モードの段階を示す作動モード指標を導出する指標導出部と、
前記作動モード指標から、前記降水指標を推定する降水指標推定部と、を有する、
