Abstract
Description
2018年9月19日出願の「LOW FRICTION, WEAR RESISTANT DRY FACE CARBON SEAL − SEAL SEAT ASSEMBLY」と題される米国特許出願第62/733,596号の利益が主張されており、この米国特許出願の開示は、参照によってその全体が本明細書にそのまま明記されているかのように組み込まれる。
Claims (10)
- 炭素材料を含むシールと、
前記シールに対して回転するように配置されたシールシートと、を備えた、ガスタービンエンジン用のシールアセンブリの作成方法であって、
前記シールシートのシール面を炭素系トライボフィルムで予め薄膜状に覆うこと、および
ガスタービンエンジンの前記シールに対して前記シールシートを組み立てること
のステップを含む、方法。 - 前記予め薄膜状に覆うことのステップが、前記シールシートを構成要素リグに取り付けることを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記構成要素リグが、1300psi×ft/sec〜7000psi×ft/secの圧力×速度(PV)で、少なくとも1分間、前記シールシートに炭素を被着するように操作される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素系トライボフィルムが2nm〜240nmの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記予め薄膜状に覆うことのステップが、前記シールシートを炭素系部材と接触させることを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素系部材が、電気黒鉛、炭素黒鉛、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される材料を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記組み立てることのステップの後に前記ガスタービンエンジンを運転することのステップをさらに含み、定常状態運転中に炭素転写膜が前記炭素系トライボフィルムを覆って被着される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- シール面と、前記シール面上の炭素系トライボフィルムとを有する事前調整されたシールシート。
- 前記炭素系トライボフィルムが、炭素系シールとの0.06〜0.16の摩擦係数を有する、請求項8に記載のシールシート。
- 前記炭素系トライボフィルムが2nm〜240nmの厚さを有する、請求項8に記載のシールシート。
