Abstract
Description
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態による内燃機関100、及び内燃機関100を制御する電子制御ユニット200の概略構成図である。
次に本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。本実施形態は、ハイブリッド車両に内燃機関100を搭載し、EV走行中にマイクロ波照射装置35を駆動して触媒コンバータ34の暖機を行う点で、第1実施形態と相違する。以下、その相違点を中心に説明する。
次に、本発明の第3実施形態について説明する。本実施形態は、内燃機関100が始動されるまでの猶予時間を予測することで算出し、猶予時間が所定時間未満になったときにマイクロ波照射装置35によるマイクロ波の照射を開始する点で、第1実施形態と相違する。以下、その相違点を中心に説明する。

Claims (12)
- 機関本体と、
前記機関本体の排気通路に設けられ、基材の内部に形成された触媒コート層に、少なくとも酸化機能を有する排気浄化触媒と、マイクロ波吸収体と、が含まれている触媒装置と、
前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射するためのマイクロ波照射装置と、
を備える内燃機関を制御するための内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記排気浄化触媒の温度が所定温度未満の場合に機関始動要求が生じたときは、前記マイクロ波照射装置によって前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射すると共に、前記機関本体から排出される排気の空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリーンな所定のリーン空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転する、
内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記所定温度は、前記排気の空燃比が前記リーン空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転したときに、前記触媒装置において所定の排気浄化性能が得られる温度である、
請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記排気浄化触媒の温度が前記所定温度以上になったときは、前記マイクロ波照射装置によるマイクロ波の照射を停止する、
請求項2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記排気浄化触媒の温度が、前記所定温度よりも高い温度であって、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転したときに前記触媒装置において所定の排気浄化性能が得られる温度以上になったときは、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転する、
請求項2又は請求項3に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記所定温度は、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転したときに、前記触媒装置において所定の排気浄化性能が得られる温度である、
請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記排気浄化触媒の温度が前記所定温度以上になったときは、前記マイクロ波照射装置によるマイクロ波の照射を停止すると共に、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転する、
請求項5に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記機関始動要求が生じるまでの猶予時間を算出し、
前記猶予時間が所定時間以下のときに、前記マイクロ波照射装置によって前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射する、
請求項1から請求項6までのいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記内燃機関は、当該内燃機関又は走行モータの一方又は双方の駆動力によって走行可能な車両に搭載されており、
前記機関始動要求が生じる前の前記走行モータの駆動力による走行中において、前記排気浄化触媒の温度が、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転した場合に前記触媒装置において所定の排気浄化性能が得られる温度未満のときは、前記マイクロ波照射装置によって前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射する、
請求項1から請求項6までのいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記機関始動要求が生じるまでの猶予時間を算出し、
前記猶予時間が所定時間以下のときに、前記マイクロ波照射装置によって前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射し、
前記猶予時間が所定時間よりも長いときは、前記排気浄化触媒の温度が、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転した場合に前記触媒装置において所定の排気浄化性能が得られる温度未満であっても、前記マイクロ波照射装置によるマイクロ波の照射を実施しない、
請求項8に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記所定時間は、
前記機関本体の運転を行わずに前記マイクロ波照射装置によって前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射した場合に、前記排気浄化触媒の温度を、前記排気の空燃比が理論空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転したときに前記触媒装置において所定の排気浄化性能が得られる温度まで上昇させることが可能な時間である、
請求項7又は請求項9に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記マイクロ波吸収体は、前記触媒コート層内において、前記酸化機能を有する前記排気浄化触媒の近傍に配置されている、
請求項1から請求項10までのいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 機関本体と、
前記機関本体の排気通路に設けられ、基材の内部に形成された触媒コート層に、少なくとも酸化機能を有する排気浄化触媒と、マイクロ波吸収体と、が含まれている触媒装置と、
前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射するためのマイクロ波照射装置と、
を備える内燃機関の制御方法であって、
前記排気浄化触媒の温度が所定温度未満の場合に機関始動要求が生じたときは、前記マイクロ波照射装置によって前記触媒装置にマイクロ波を照射すると共に、前記機関本体から排出される排気の空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリーンな所定のリーン空燃比となるように前記機関本体を運転する、
